A legendary warrior. A mission to tame the rebellion of the Welsh Borderlands. A wild Welsh beauty. For years Teleri of the Woods, shunned by superstitious villagers, has lived her life in solitude among the creatures of the forest. But when she discovers a man ambushed and left for dead in her woods, she must try to save him with her healing skills. She does not know he is a knight charged by … the King of England to establish a stronghold and build a castle nearby, only that he is the same knight who chased her once before. Sir Roger FitzAlan awakes to discover that none of his fabled diplomacy and skills of war will help him with his most immediate problem–a madwoman who has tied him to stakes in a small woodland cottage. Teleri is his match in wit and will, but she opens his eyes to the wonder of a simple world he has never known. As Roger recovers and fomulates his plan for catching his would-be-murderer, he realizes something else: his real challenge won’t be taming the borderlands but taming and winning over his wild Welsh healer. But when he understands that he cannot live in her world and she may not survive in his, he knows he must teach her to trust him, even though he threatens all she holds dear.

Good storyline & character development.
The characters were well developed and it was great to see a character who knew themselves and stayed true. Good humor too!

Nice read, thank you:)
Love a book with smart, brave and strong woman. Highly recommended.! Thank
Loved the interaction between the main characters with each other and with the animals. It was a tender, mysterious, romantic romp. I could not put down and did not want it to end. Thank you for writing such an enchanting tale.
I’m not much of a fan for Welsh or Irish magical stories but I do like a good romance. 2 stubborn people who seem total opposites did make for a good story. For a while I wasn’t sure how things would end. That’s always better than it being too predictable.
I read Teleri and Roger’s story in the Once Upon A Valentine bundle, which aggregates many of my favorite authors.
As soon as I met Roger in WONDERFUL, I wanted to learn more about him, and WILD was an awesome read.
Teleri is such an amazing woman, she sees the world through wide open eyes, never letting pain or fear clouds her judgement. She does …
Wonderful!
Jill Barnett is one of my all time favorite writers.
I couldn’t finish it. Just too predictable, too formulaic. Innocent child meets grizzled warrior, and seduces him. She has no contact with the outside world, never met a man before, but no problem seducing him. Just a bad, trite book.
The first third of this book was entertaining. It was a quick read and the characters were interesting. I had hoped for more fleshing out of the main characters inner feelings/thoughts as the book continued. This didn’t happen. I think it made the characters cardboard. I didn’t find the last part of the book particularly touching as it should have …
