Can’t wait to read more & to see the movie
Really good story written in 1984 great characters strong women which is typical of Linda La Plante this time on the wrong side of the law. Entertaining book.
LOVED this book – could not put it down once I started, can’t wait to see the movie!
Linda LaPlante never disappoints.
I want to thank Bookish for the opportunity to read this book.
This book reminded me of Ocean’s Eleven in lots of ways. A heist, the planning, the rehearsing, the distrust amongst them, the loyalty they felt but still had a hard time believing, pulling together no matter what. A thriller of a book that had me guessing in lots of places. There were surprises along the way that I didn’t see coming. It had me turning pages as fast as I could to find out what was going to happen next.
This is the story of four widows planning to pull off the heist that went wrong when their husbands plan went terribly bad. Could they come together and be successful where the husbands had failed? The suspense was high in this book and kept me involved with the story. I recommend it for anyone who enjoys a crime thriller and lots of action packed suspense.
