Some wild things want to be tamed… especially to the woman his mother has chosen for him. His tastes run to sour, devious women who favor austere clothing, namely Lady Arabella Tremaine. When Arabella goes missing, it falls to Rowan to retrieve the unpleasant woman and bring her back to London.
Arabella is grateful to be rescued, even if it is by Lord Malden a gentleman who she doesn’t particularly care for. And Malden doesn’t like her either. She can’t wait to go their separate ways.
Unfortunately once Arabella returns to London she finds herself ruined.
And betrothed….to Lord Malden.

This is the fourth book in The Wickeds Book series and my second favorite of the four, with the first one, Wicked’s Scandal being my first. Arabella is the sister of Nick from book two, Devil of a Duke. He exiled her to Wales for her past behavior towards his wife. In her anger, she makes a really stupid move that she instantly regrets. Her sister-in-law’s cousin comes to her rescue, but they end up having to marry because of the scandal that is caused. Of course, they can’t stand each other. I loved Arabella’s growth throughout this story, and how Rowan, her new husband seemed to be the only one who saw her for who she was. Although she made some pretty bad choices in life, the reasons behind them were understandable. The banter between her and Rowan and his awful mother was most enjoyable. I recommend this whole series, and although it isn’t necessary, I would begin with the first book.
Like that the female character was not your usual sweet and nice person. She had some spit and fire.
It was a good story with twists and very romantic
Wickedly Yours is the fourth book in The Wickeds Series. The book can be read as a standalone, but the characters were introduced in the previous book and there are several references to events in previous book. I haven’t read the previous two books, but I have added them to my TBR list because they sound like great books. I loved the first book and this one is just as good. Lady Arabella Tremaine was banished to Wales by her brother for her behavior. Rowan, Lord Malden, didn’t particularly like Arabella but went to rescue her when she was kidnapped. When they returned to London the rumors had already started. Arabella’s character was that of an angry, bitter woman but as the book progresses she becomes a better person. Rowan was able to see past her bitterness and see the real woman. This was such a great book and I loved seeing Arabella becoming a better person and having the chance of a HEA. I can’t wait to read the previous books and any future books by this author.
Read this for the incredibly bitchy heroine and her antics. The heroine is not just a bitch on wheels or a bitch from hell, she’s a bitch on wheels forged in hell. It’s not often that a romance centers around a heroine who is simply awful as usually the hero stomps all over that terrain.
In a previous book, Devil of a Duke, the h sets up her future SIL to be kidnapped as the h thinks the future SIL is unworthy of her beloved brother. In Wickedly Yours, she is back from banishment (it was a short term exile) and is completely unrepentant and just as hateful toward her SIL and now angry with her brother. Things happen and enter the hero who rescues her which results in a MOC.
The H’s meddling and awful family are horrified as everyone in society hates the heroine, but the chemistry between the H and h heats up cause he likes a bad girl, or more specifically a mean girl. The h’s edges get …not soft, but less sharp, and while lusting after her at night he is thrilled to find out that she has a mind as sharp as her tongue during the day.
More meddling and shunning as her in-laws plot to get the marriage annulled or start the lengthy process for divorce. The heroine’s efforts to bit her tongue and try and place nice are pretty funny plus she’s besotted with the hero.
And then there was the rest of the story. Somehow the sharp as a tack heroine loses brain function when one of the kidnapping minions tracks her down and blackmails her for reasons. I almost DNF’d as here is a wickedly savvy heroine with a razor tongue and is sister to a Duke, A DUKE, who is one ring down in power from the Royal family and she caves to the blackmailer and puts her marriage in jeopardy. Very irritating.
Still a three stars just for the entertaining snark from the h. Eventually she loosens her corset a little, but it is primarily in relation to the hero.
Here is some nice snark although it’s if from the fed up hero to his mother who’s still harping on him marrying the whey-faced Lady Gwendolyn.
“Thankfully Lady Gwendolyn is the most patient of creatures.”
“I hope so Mother, for she will be waiting a lifetime.”
Rowan set his glass down thinking how ridiculous a creature his mother was, though he loved her dearly. “I hate to disappoint you but I’ve no intention of annulling my marriage. It has been consummated.” He looked his mother dead in the eye. “Repeatedly.”
His mother’s hand flew to her throat as if to stifle a scream, whether from his vulgarity or the idea that even now, Arabella could be carrying her grandchild.”
Have read all of her wickedly yours book and recommend them to all who love romance books. Keep on writing
