What adult that loved the original story wouldn’t love an adult version complete with RH!!!
When Alicia gets away after finding her boyfriend cheating she stumbles upon a whole new world.
Follow her as she learns about this new world, finds new love interests and has some sexy fun!
Great story.
I really enjoyed this version of Wonderland. This is a really good series starter. I’m looking forward to finding out what happens now.
Great Alice in Wonderland retelling. Especially in the RH genre. The book definitely slowed down in the middle, but it finished strong. I enjoyed the world building and character development. I will definitely be reading the next two books.
The main character was particularly likable. I have read some other series like this and have to admit I really didn’t like the MC. But this one won me over. I started with the free sample, and was drawn in immediately. I just went ahead and purchased all three books. I also like this author, so I knew I wouldn’t be disappointed.
The only reason I didn’t give it five stars was because of the slow middle. But all in all, it’s a really great read. As is to be expected from Eva Chase.
A very intriguing story! There is so much going on in the Looking Glass world. There were a lot of serious and tense moments that I am really glad to have the romance/sexual chemistry going on at the same time. Eva Chase writes some great sexual build up and she does give us a full steamy scene as well. The guys are interesting and I really liked how all the original characters from Alice are all here! Really helped keep it a Wicked Wonderland 🙂 This audiobook had a duet narration and I enjoyed that as well. The narrators did a fantastic job bringing us into the story.
I really like this take on Alice and the Looking Glass retelling. The characters are intriguing and creative, the story line is well developed and well written. Lyssa is a strong female lead and Hatter, Chess and the White Knight are interesting. Although the White Knight seems to have the best interests in mind for Wonderland, I’m not sure if he is just using Lyssa or not. It doesn’t seem like it by the end of this book but I’m interested to see how his character grows and how his and Lyssa’s relationship pans out. Hatter….hmmmm…….I kind of understand him and the way he acts especially after some of the things revealed about Lyssa’s great aunt. Then there is Chess, he my favorite, with his cunning and almost aloofness he is kind of an enigma. Overall great start to this trilogy and I can’t wait to read more.
Wicked Wonderland is Book 1 of the Looking-Glass Curse series. I found this to be an enjoyable read. The new twists along with the old made for an interesting experience and this is saying a lot as I never liked the original. Ms. Chase has created a better more colorful wonderland and the depth she gave Lyssa, Hatter (Mad Hatter), Theo (White Knight), and Chess(Cheshire Cat) added to my enjoyment. I have many questions that need answering, so I am anxious for Book 2. I recommend this book. Received a copy and this is my voluntary and honest review.
When Lyssa inherits a house from her estranged gran-aunt Alicia, she doesn’t expect to find a magical mirror. Once she goes through and sees all the wonders of Wonderland, she’s hooked and can’t stay away for long. With the help of the handsome Hatter, charming Chess and incredible Inventor, she is on a journey of new places, new faces, and new adventures! Steam 5/10 * Sweet 8/10 * alt 1st POV * RH * cliffhanger
This is the grown up Alice tale that you’ve always dreamed of!! Lyssa is our Alice and when we meet her, she’s going through a lot. Her life up to this point has been all duty and responsibility. Her bestie encourages her to let loose a little and for once only think about herself. And, what does Lyssa want? She finds herself craving the kisses and passion that are so readily available in Wonderland. But she’s not going to be content or even bother to seek those out unless it’s Hatter, Chess or the White Knight that are offering. Will she be able to have them all? It wouldn’t be a reverse harem if she couldn’t This was whimsical and witty and absolutely entertaining!! Ms. Chase took us on an endearingly adventurous journey! This was so just so much fun and I’m so sad that I have to wait for book two to release. These characters very quickly attach themselves to your heart and don’t let go!!
Oh. My. Dear. Lord. I don’t really know how to approach a review of these freakishly wonderful retelling if the classic Alice in Wonderland story. Read the publisher’s blurb. If you find it at all appealing you are going to love this novel. Eva Chase’s Wicked Wonderland, first in her The Looking-Glass Curse series, is most definitely modeled on the original, but poor Charles Lutwidge Dodgson (aka Lewis Carroll) would likely feint if he perused it’s pages. This is a heck of a hot reverse harem tale in the making, with an Alice who is bound to be a true kick a** leader. I love Alice and her harem of guys in the making. I love the plot, the setting, the backstory and new version of Wonderland. Basically I love everything about this book. But for the fact that I’m literally dictating this review to my husband from my hospital bed I could go on and on with praises – the book definitely deserves it. Since I can’t do that I will simply note that the book is most definitely one to read, it is easy to highly recommend. I’m definitely looking forward to the next book in this series.
