What if everything you believed in turned out to be a lie?
What if learning the truth changed everything?
Colton “Bull” Lanier thought he had his life all figured out. His trust was hard earned. He let no one see the man inside. He didn’t believe in love and he didn’t get involved. That is, until she walked into his life.
There’s more to Steele Security’s newest client, Chaise, than what … newest client, Chaise, than what meets the eye. She was in trouble but she was also hiding something and kept her secrets close to the vest. With her life in danger, Bull reluctantly agrees to protect her and help find a missing girl.
When their attraction flares hot enough to burn them, Bull gives Chaise something very rare – his trust. But as worlds collide, lifelong secrets are revealed that makes Bull question everything he ever believed. When Chaise disappears, the men of Steele Security are on the case. But, will they get there in time?
Forgiveness. Trust. Love.
Ruthless. Doubt. Coldness.
Will Bull find out what kind of man he really is?

To much like the first book and didn’t like the explicit sex scenes…..hate that…it ruins the story.
Bull is a human lie detector, a “steele” wall, and a dangerous man all rolled in a gorgeous package. As a member of Steele Security, he has training that makes him a remarkable adversary, but what if his enemy is the last person he suspects…
Chaise is obviously hiding something. It goes to show that she can’t be fully trusted, but why is he drawn to her despite knowing her lies? Why can’t he focus on all the issues? Why is getting her in his bed constantly seeping into his mind?
Thrown off his game and wondering how, Bull is having difficulty with all the pieces of this puzzle. From missing persons to family issues, where the hell is this case going? Why is Chaise in the middle of it? What is he going to do about his need to have her around?
When the shit hits the fan, Bull is left with nothing but regret. Is it too late to pull a hail mary?
I love this series. The men of Steele Security are alpha former military bad asses that love hard and fierce. They trust very few and steal your hearts too.
I purchased the dual set of Wicked Games and Wicked Ties. I thought it would be good to pass the love on!
Suspenseful and action packed read,.Great plot and fabulous flow throughout. Loved the main characters as well as the continuity from book 1. The plot is interesting and that as a few twists that kept it a little bit edgy, the action scenes were exciting and fulfilled expectancy. Great story I am loving it and the series.
When we first met Bull in Wicked Games he was the hardest for Brianna to read and get closed to. But he became her closest “big brother.” The man is as closed off, stoic and distrusting as they come. Chaise is one tough cookie but she too has reasons to shutter her emotions except that she needs Steele Security. Chaise knows that Bull is everything she wants in a man but he’s not giving her any quarter. No matter how close they’ve become he’s still holding himself at arm’s length. A shocking truth almost derails them. Now he has to fight to save her and win her back.
I loved this story. I highly recommend reading this story.
WOW! I was a fan of Ms. Justice’s writing after reading the first book in this series, now I may have to become a superfan. This book was easy to be drawn into and hard to put down. The suspense tale told in this story is action packed, the interrelationships between the characters is well developed, and the sex is HAWT! Bull is a tough, no nonsense man. He is an imposing presence, physically and intellectually. He has suffered loss and heartbreak in his life; closing his mind to the idea of relationships of the heart. He is a fierce and loyal friend/brother to his team, always putting their needs or the needs of the job, before his own. Trust is the essential to any relationship with Bull, once it is broken, it may never be mended. He is funny, handsome, headstrong and sexy. I think Bull may be the ultimate alpha male.
The prologue to this story is sweet and sad; setting up events far in the future, with great foreshadowing. The beginning of this book slightly overlaps the ending of Wicked Games. (also a must read) An intruder is detained at the Noah’s wedding. She is scared, determined and ultimately will change the lives of everyone at Steel Security. Demanding to see Noah, the Steel team will not allow her to disrupt his wedding. The men detain her trying to decide if her story is on the up and up. Something inside draws Bull to Chaise; their spark is undeniable but secrets will undermine trust. The one thing Bull demands beyond anything is honesty. However, he gives Chaise more leeway than I would have ever imagined. Bull’s past has closed his heart to the idea of love but Chaise has him fighting emotions he never thought himself capable of having.
Chaise knows that her secrets will harm any budding relationship with Bull. She tries to tell him what they are, but he is content with the status quo; fearing the truth might be more damaging to what they have. Chaise is a strong, determined woman. She left her domineering father and achieved a career that she enjoyed, until she was a little to good at her job. She has uncovered some very evil dealings at her current job. Things she could not allow to remain covered up. She has put herself in danger, thus requiring the Steel Security men to protect her. Little did she know that by seeking their protection she would loose her heart to Bull.
Secrets are revealed, trust and hearts are broken, poor choices are made. Chaise is put in the ultimate danger, only then does Bull realize what he has lost. As with anything worth fighting for, Bull does not go down without a fight. The suspense plot is well thought out and excellently written. The characters are so well defined, you feel as if you know them personally. I cannot wait to see which of the Steel Security men is the focus of the next book. Well done A.d. Justice-keep these books coming.
I could not put it down
I love all A.D. Justice books
