I live my life to the fullest. Work hard as part of the team at Jameson Force Security but play just as hard at The Wicked Horse Vegas. I have no regrets about my life. Well, maybe just one. She was my first love and the woman I wanted to spend my life with, but one day she was just gone. Vanished without a trace. My single remorse is never being able to find out what happened to her, because no … to her, because no matter how difficult the truth may be, it can’t be as bad as never knowing at all.
Until the day my past walks through the door and brings me to my knees with the secrets she holds.

Sawyer Bennett has a way with words that keep me intrigued from that very first page till the very end. I loved that she weaved two different series together and made this an exciting story. I loved the intrigue and suspense and all the hotness that Sawyer loves to bring us.
August and Leighton heated up the pages from that first moment they laid eyes once again on each other. Add in the angst and suspense and this was an amazing story. How can we forget the set up for Ghost either? I think I got chills when August got the call.
Kirsten Leigh and Lance Greenfield did a fabulous job narrating this one. I loved listening to them voice August and Leighton and bring Sawyer’s words to life. You felt the emotion and angst and holy hotness.
Wicked Secret is the eighth book in the Wicked Horse Vegas series. While this is a part of a series, can it be read as a stand alone, yes it can. This book can be read totally as a stand alone as I have only read a couple of the books in the series and was not lost with the characters. I did enjoy how the author tied in characters from another series and it had me excited with this tie in because that other series, Jameson Force Security, is more in suspense and mystery so I had hoped there would be more of that going on in this series. I was disappointed that it didn’t happen, even though there was some great opportunity for it, which is a large part as to why I am giving this the four stars and not five stars. Don’t get me wrong, there is some suspense and a twist or two but the author resolved the mystery sooner and didn’t really have that surprise factor for me. I really loved how the narrators really brought August and Leighton to live. They did an awesome job in portraying what the characters were feeling and made it very easy to visualize what was happening in the story. I had a very difficult time turning the book off and found myself listening while working from home. I’m looking forward to more from this author as there were hints to some upcoming events that are to come in other series.
This is my first time reading (or listening) a book in the Wicked Horse series, and Wicked Secret had me intrigued from the start. I couldn’t wait to see how August and Leighton/Tracy’s story would play out and I just love how it ended!
We also get to find out what some familiar characters in the Jameson Force Security series are up to, and let’s just say that, at this point, I’m really looking forward to Mallik’s story!
Narrators Kirsten Leigh and Lance Greenfield were a joy to listen to.
Wicked Secret is a second-chance, secret baby contemporary romance written in dual first person-POV and recorded in dual narration. It’s a standalone that ends with a HEA. No cliffhanger, no cheating.
I received this book at my request and have voluntarily left this unbiased review.
The Wicked Secret is… not a secret at all, Sawyer Bennett has done it again. Another wicked hot page turner that made me sad when I ran out of wicked pages to turn. LOVE.
Sexy & Heartfelt! Elizabeth @ Carolina Chic’s Read
I loved every single second of this story!
August and Leighton’s story started long ago… they didn’t get their happy ending. It was taken from them and neither of them have moved on. She has stepped back into his life throwing everything he thought he ever knew on its head. Their second chance is such a great story. I loved it 5 Stars and more!
Nothing better than a second chance and secret baby story. Sawyer Bennett didn’t disappoint with Laughton (Tracy) and August’s story with Sam’s story in the background. You could help but root for the fa,ily to figure things out. I was happily shocked how it ended. I can’t wait for the next story in the wicked house series and Malik’s story for the jamieson security. I love that these series are all woven together but they are also stand alone.
I lived it! These narrators are great as well as this story! The writing kept me listening non stop!!!
I am really falling in love w/ Sawyer Bennetts writing style and characters!
She gives you complex characters and storylines that are easy to follow but yet have a lot of depth as well. It always flows and keeps me hooked. Theres always some fun, sexy, and drama. Perfect mix!
Narration is from 2 of my favorites.
Leighton and August were young lovers when Leighton disappeared without a trace. She returns almost a decade later with a big secret. They have a son who has leukemia and August is his only hope for a blood marrow donor.
I really enjoyed this story. The reunion between Leighton and August occurs years after they were torn apart. August really struggles with Leighton’s reasons for leaving him. It was great to see August connect with his son. And all the family dynamics–Leighton’s father and August’s parents.
4.5 Wicked Stars! Holy hotness! Second chance storyline with scorching hot chemistry and a twist. August and Leighton’s story will give you all the FEELS! Lance Greenfield and Kristen Leigh nailed the narration! Another great addition to this series!
Audio Review: Wicked Secret (Wicked Horse Vegas, Jameson Force Security) by: Sawyer Bennett
Narrated by: Kirsten Leigh, Lance Greenfield
Move over temptation and make room for heart. With Sawyer Bennett there is always a twist. It’s that unpredictability that makes the experience unforgettable. Wicked Secret packs moments that range from spicy to heartrending in an intriguing bundle of chaos. Greenfield and Leigh bring stability to a convoluted tale of long withheld secrets, heartbreaking drama and dangerous intentions. Leighton and August are a haunting mix of suspense and drama that are tough on the heart and wicked on the hormones. Tissues are most definitely required.
Another amazing story!!!! This book is where two worlds collide, the Wicked Horse Vegas and Jameson Force Security. So if you’re a fan of Sawyer Bennett’s other series, welcome! This is August and Leighton (or Tracey’s) story… Once upon a time August and Tracey were supposed to live happily ever after together, plans were made, till she had to enter the WITSEC program, and say goodbye to her entire life, August included. She was not allowed to make contact, for fear of being found, and he never really stopped looking for her. Now 10 years later, August has a regimented life, working hard with Jameson Force Security and playing harder at the Wicked Horse. Leighton returns, seeks him out for his help… But as many things were left unsaid and unsettled, secrets kept, you can understand the rollercoaster they must travel first. Despite the 10 years, the emotions are still there, and though August has a hard time overcoming his anger, they come out on the other side (Trying to avoid spoilers). Things are always beyond steam and fire at the Wicked Horse, and Sawyer has written another stellar and cleverly detailed story. So much emotion, so much chemistry, you truly feel the emotions as you read…I have read everything Sawyer writes, and always cannot put them down! Another page turner!!
Leighton aka Tracy sets out to find her exboyfriend August. It’s been nine years since she last saw him. The reason why, they have a son name Sam. Sam was diagnosed with leukemia and Leighton isn’t a match for a stem cell transplant. Their only hope is that August is. There is a problem though. August has no idea that Sam exist. Leighton and her father had to be put into government protection and left in the middle of the night. Leighton and her family were in danger and so she never was able to contact August to let him know about Sam. Being young she followed the rules she was given but she never stopped loving August. Is August a match? Can he get over missing nine years of his son’s life? Does he still love Leighton? You will have to read to find out.
I found Wicked Secret to be a quick and enjoyable read with a happy ending. A highly recommended book.
Boy does Sawyer Bennett know how to bring on the angst! I really enjoyed how August ties several series together. There was hints of what’s coming in future books, which I love. It makes me excited to read what’s next. I do with that there was a bit more interaction with Sam. He was a very well written character.
I have read all the books of the series and they keep getting better and better.
This is a very sexy second chance romance with bits of suspense and mafia. Sawyer Bennett has a ways of creating sexy characters that are just regular people trying to do their best.
August is such a real character, we feel his pain and understand his feelings.
Leighton has been through a lot at a young age and has been up to the challenge which makes her a great character as well.
Their love is growing through the story but the sexy scenes are great as well.
I loved this book!
A few chapters into this book and I was surprised on the turn it took. Of course it was a good surprise. I was not expecting that to happen and I love when an author surprises me. I really enjoyed these characters and the story they had to tell. It was a story that leaned more towards the emotional side. These two character had a past together and when they are reunited there are secrets to be told and they were pretty big secrets.
One this that I loved about the Wicked Horse/Wicked Horse Vegas series was they are all very steamy stories. This story had its fair share of steam but I though the marrying of the steamy side with the more emotional side was a little disjointed. They didn’t mesh well and I wish there could have been a better transition with the two. I did really enjoy how the author tied this book with the Jameson Force Security series. I was hoping for more of that suspense as it was in the story ready and waiting. Overall though I really enjoyed the story. I am a huge fan of Sawyer Bennett and love the Wicked Horse Vegas series. This one is definitely worth the read.
This really took a path I wasn’t expecting. The story was wonderful and hot. The characters are sexy and smart. I loved that this encompasses the boys from Jameson Security. Sam is a delight and I love when characters like him show up in stories. They seem to bring vibrancy to the other characters. Plus whatever they say makes me smile.
The story in itself was great! I loved the whole situation that Leighton and her Dad have done. I loved her Dad.
This is my first book in this series. It is a bit racey at times but the overall story was excellent and very enjoyable. Again I loved the crossover with Jameson Security.

Wicked Secret
Wicked Horse Vegas, Book 8
By: Sawyer Bennett
Narrated by: Kirsten Leigh, Lance Greenfield
From the very start, Sawyer Bennett drew me into the world of August and Leighton. High school sweethearts, one day they were happy and the next day Leighton was gone, without a word and without a trace. Now 10 years later, she shows up in Vegas on August’s doorstep. What does she want? August was happy with his life. He loves his job and his experiences at the Wicked Horse. Now with Leighton back, will his life change? Oh my God, this is a roller coaster of emotions. Not only do we have the sizzling chemistry between August and Leighton, but the secrets she reveals are emotional and dangerous. Her father is quite the character, adding another dynamic to this couple, and their journey into reconnecting is just amazing. From trips to the Wicked Horse to just being together, this couple exudes passion. I love Bennett’s writing, her way of getting us to connect to the characters and the stories are complete entertainment.
Lance Greenfield and Kirsten Leigh are an amazing team. Experiencing them as August and Leighton is a treat! Greenfield is the perfect alpha, growlie male and creates a fantastic character as August. Just the right amount of tenderness with is over protectiveness makes him the perfect hero. Leigh is feisty as Leighton. She knows what she needs, and her voice emotes the perfect inflections in every scene. These two work so well together and gave an incredible performance.

Well, damn…
From the very start of this book, it hits your right in the heart, and just keeps hitting you! I wasn’t quite prepared for all toll this was going to take on my heart.
Every single character in this, from August to Leighton, to Sam and Mike…every single one is just going to take over and make you love them. I was not emotionally prepared to love all of them so much. And with the twists and turns of the mob, WITSEC and pediatric cancer treatments, they keep you on the edge of your seat wanting to make sure that everything is going to work out.
Kirsten Leigh and Lance Greenfield could not have done a better job. They nailed it!

Wicked Horse Vegas, Book 8
By: Sawyer Bennett

Wow, this book is awesome! I have become a huge fan of Sawyer Bennett’s work, I haven’t had the pleasure to read or listen to any of her “Wicked Horse” books yet and now I know what I have been missing. This book grabbed my attention right from the start, and what a smoking hot start it is! I took an immediate liking to August, I loved his great, no-nonsense personality, another big plus is that he works for Jameson Security, so you know he is super cool. In the opening scene he is hanging out at the Wicked Horse, a BDSM club where just about anything goes. I adored Leighton, her tenacity to do what she has to do to save her loved one’s life, including risking her own life. When she knocked on August’s door he was taken aback, he had not seen her in 10 years when she disappeared and was forever out of his life. He tried searching for her to no avail. I loved how everything played out in this book, it is cleverly plotted and the story flows beautifully. The story has plenty of drama, a bit of angst, some twists and turns, a touch of suspense, lots of heartfelt emotions and hot loving! It was great to catch up with some of he Jameson Security crew too. Thank you for another amazing book, I am looking forward to catching up with the rest of the series soon.
I listened to the Audible edition, Lance Greenfield and Kristen Leigh are fantastic narrators and voice artists. They did an amazing job portraying the characters, bringing them to life giving each their own voice and personality. Lance perfected August’s role and Kristen’s Leighton was awesome too. They captured the characters emotions as well as the drama of the story and projected it into their performance. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thanks you for another fabulous listen
