He stole my first kiss… and now he thinks everything else is his.GemmaI said no to the one person no one at this school dares to refuse. Now I’m targeted by jealous girls, guys that compete to be the first to “break the prude”, and by him. After one kiss, the king of the school hunts me down like I’m a conquest to win. He’ll have to fight harder than that, because I’m no one’s trophy. They all want … than that, because I’m no one’s trophy.
They all want a piece of me, but I will not bend or break for them.
No one refuses the king.
Lucas
One case of mistaken identity and a hasty kiss turned my world upside down.
The new girl refused me. Not only that, she threw down the gauntlet. That won’t stand. No one ever says no to me. This school is mine and she’ll learn her place as a loyal follower or her life is going up in flames.
I’ll make her say yes. She’ll be screaming it before I’m finished breaking her.

This is the first book I’ve read/listened to by Veronica Eden. It won’t be my last. This was well written with great characters. My heart ached for Gemma. Her twin brother’s lack of empathy infuriated me! I almost stopped the audio a couple times unable to deal with the almost rapes/sexual assault scenes. Lucas took time to grow on me. A great standalone. I look forward to the next books in the series. Especially Devlin’s story!
Stephanie Rose and Alan Carlson were excellent narrators. I enjoyed their performances and hope to hear them in the future.

With the popular trope of high school bully as its theme, Wicked Saint runs the full gamut of enemies to lovers with confidence and style. I did want to smack Lucas and his friends quite a few times, but they grew on me. All the main characters grow in the course of the story, with a couple of notable exceptions, and I particularly liked the strength inherent to Gemma’s nature. Her constancy and courage are admirable. Stephanie Rose and Alan Carson are excellent narrators. Their skill at pulling off the difficult task of duet narration is outstanding. This has been a fabulous listen!
This was my first Veronica Eden’s book, and definitely won’t be my last. This is the first book in the Sinners and Saints Series, an amazingly dark Bully Romance. Wow! Gemma is badass, strong, and smart. Lucas is an amazing antihero, devious, and secretive. They are opposites attract, and they are perfect together. They share an undeniable chemistry. The cast of supporting characters is impressive, and they are intriguing. The storyline is intricate, fast-paced, filled with secrets, revenge, and betrayal. I love Bully Romance, and this one is devilishly great and captivating. I HIGHLY recommend it. Stephanie Rose and Alan Carlson did a great job with the narration. This story is part of interconnected enemies to lovers stories. Now, I can’t wait to listen to the next book in the Series, Tempting Devil, Devlin and Blair’s story. #AudiobookObsessionVIP #PinkFlamingoProductions
Great Story & Narration Captivating & Intense!
Wicked Saint: Dark New Adult High School Bully Romance
Sinners and Saints, Book 1
By: Veronica Eden
Narrated by: Stephanie Rose, Alan Carlson
This is my first book written by Veronica Eden and consider me wowed, she nails the bully romance genre with this dark and twisted story, an awesome and intense at times, enemies to lovers romance. It is high in angst and may take you out of your comfort times but it is so worth the ride. The characters are complex and nicely developed, Gemma and her brother transferred to their third school, she plans on keeping to herself and staying under the radar. But that plan goes awry when she goes to pick up her twin brother at party hosted by the most popular boy in the school. Lucas, the schools football star and the school is his kingdom. When the new girl strikes his fancy it is game on and she becomes his new challenge and target. I adored Gemma, her strength and determination to stand up to the bullying and handle it on her own. At the start of the book I had mixed feelings for Lucas and his cohorts but when he lifts his facade and reveals his true self I really liked him and found him intriguing. Same with some of his friends. I loved how everything plays out in the book, the story is cleverly plotted and there is never a dull moment. I found this book to be captivating from start to end, it is the type of book once you pick up you can not put down because you need to know what happens next. Veronica Eden, thank you for this great story and the emotional rollercoaster ride.
I listened to the Audible edition, Stephanie Rose and Alan Carlson are talented narrators and voice artists. They were perfectly casted to bring these characters to life, they give each their own voice and personality, as well as heart and attitude. They do an awesome job portraying each character, playing each role with perfection sounding just as I picture them to sound. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for this great listen

Audio Review:
Wicked Saint: Dark New Adult High School Bully Romance (Sinners and Saints, Book 1) is told in dual pov and sets the foundation for the series. I was soaked in by the synopsis. A dust of sports chat, being tormented by the HS Football King, a mixture of a love and hate relationship intertwined with intrigue of supporting characters. This author spun a bully romance with a colorful cast of characters. In the end, its well wrapped up the romance between Gemma and Lucas.
Narrators Stephanie Rose, Alan Carlson duet narration was well performed. It was refreshing and realistically visual experience. I love duet narration as we get the push and pull out of the characters. Stephanie’s inflection fits the age of the character Gemma and her ability to bring out the emotions. Alian’s inflection also fit the character age and changed to meet the emotions. Together, the duet performance felt believable and brought you into their world.

This was my first book by this author and I gotta say, I WAS IMPRESSED!!!! I loved Gemma and Lucas! The bullying was great. Lucas was intense in the beginning and I love that in a guy. Gemma was pretty strong but not too overbearing. I just really enjoyed everything about this book and cant wait to read the rest of the series. I love it when a new author surprises me like this. The narrators did such a FANTASTIC job!!!!!!
Wicked Saint by Veronica Eden is a Dark New Adult High School Bully Romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Stephanie Rose and Alan Carlson. This is the first book in the Sinners and Saints series and can be read as a standalone.
This book comes with a warning “This audiobook is a dark new-adult high-school bully romance recommended for listeners 18 or older and contains mature themes and content that some listeners might find triggering or offensive. Please proceed with caution.”
This is the first book of Veronica’s that I have read and it definitely won’t be my last. I really enjoyed the back and forth between Gemma and Lucas. Their relationship starts a bit messed up but you can’t help but root for them. I can’t wait to dive into the next book in the series Tempting Devil so I can get Devlin and Blair’s story.
Stephanie and Alan did an amazing job on the narration. They both really know how to bring a story to life. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.
I would recommend this book to anyone who loves dark romances or bully romances.

This is probably one of the best bully romances I’ve heard in a really long time! The tension is so high between these two and the chemistry is off the charts! I listened to this book all in one go because I just couldn’t stop, it is so good. Alan Carlson is a new narrator to me but when he is paired with Stephanie Rose, it brought this book to life perfectly. Writing is also fantastic.
Wicked Saint: Dark New Adult High School Bully Romance
Sinners and Saints, Book 1
By: Veronica Eden
Narrated by: Stephanie Rose, Alan Carlson
Can I just say that bully romance is becoming one of my favorite tropes? This is so exciting and fun, I could not stop listening! Gemma and her twin brother are in a new high school for the third time in as many years. To say it’s been tough on them, is the least if, but the burden really lies on Gemma. The reason for the moves are for her benefit and now she is faced with the most popular football player taunting her. Lucas is loving his provocation of Gemma, and her constant rejection is making it all the more fun. Until these two find out there is more to their love hate relationship. Eden Bradley has woven a story with a fabulous cast of characters. Gemma and Lucas are the focus of this one and they are complex and interesting. Their relationship at times is more like foreplay, and the layers of their personalities slowly come off. I love them both! But I also am intrigued with the secondary characters. Good friends are hard to come by and I can’t wait to hear their stories. And we can’t forget Lancelot. He steals the show. Bring on book 2, Tempting Devil, I am ready!
Narrated by Stephanie Rose and Alan Carlson the story comes to life. Rose is the perfect narrator for new adult books. Her voice matches the personality of Gemma and she makes the character believable. Alan Carlsonis new to me and I loved his versatility. He is able to pull off the evil bully and the compassionate man so easily! They made this book a pleasant experience to listen to.

I couldn’t stop listening to this high school bully romance at its finest. The tug and pull between Gemma and Lucas is felt throughout. All Gemma wanted was to be left alone to finish out her senior year. Lucas was the king of the school and whatever he said was the rules.
Gemma had to stay strong. Trying to ignore him just made matters worse for her. But the world of Lucas slowly brought her into his circle, only to destroy her. Oh yes this is steamy hot, full of teenage angst, jealousy, betrayal, secrets and revenge.
Stephanie Rose and Alan Carlson are excellent vocal performers. Wow, they really brought this story to life! Every emotion, every voice , every character was perfection! They flawlessly transitioned from one character to another. Thank you for the great listen!

**Trigger warning this does contain mature content and is dark so if you have triggers about bullying, sexual abuse because it is dark an intense**
WOAH!! This is the first book that I have ever read by Veronica Eden and let me say that I am floored. I have read many dark bully romance but this one was on a whole other level for me. You have a scarred girl next door, Gemma Turner, but she is so strong because she does not want others to know about her past. She hides behind her passion of photography to hold people at bay. Then you have Lucas Saint the privileged high school quarter back who gets anything he wants. Everything changes one night at a party with a case of mistaken identity. Now, Lucas has his sight set on Gemma. Lucas is wicked in so many ways when he tries to attain Gemma. She has her reasons and you don’t find out til the end why she fights back and tries to be strong. Some of the things that happen is crazy but the push and pull of these two are intense. Just be prepared to have those are you series moments and want to strangle a few characters but I promise when you get to the end you will be happy.
Amazing loved it, Gemma the girl who didn’t want to be the girl kissed by Lucas, yes it was mistaken identity but now she was in his sights and he loved a challenge. This is a must read I can’t wait for more as the pace is fast and emotions run high. I voluntarily reviewed this book.
One wrong kiss sets off a series of unfortunate events for our FMC Gemma. Wicked Saint starts off with a bang and simply doesn’t stop. Is Lucas a big old jerk? Yup, he sure is. I still loved him though. This story is told in dual POV and that definitely helps redeem Lucas. You get to see the method to his madness, which I always enjoy. Him and Gemma have a great banter and she doesn’t take any of his sh*t. I read this book in one sitting and really enjoyed it. I think Eden sets us up well for future books in the series. After I finished Wicked Saint I immediately started book two in the series, Tempting Devil, because I enjoyed the characters so much. This book could be read as a standalone but Lucas and Gemma are featured in book two, so I would recommend reading them in order.
3.5 stars
Veronica Eden is a new to me author. I’ve been meaning to start the “Sinners and Saints” series for a while, so when the opportunity came to review book 2, as well as book 1 I took it!
Gemma has a rough year. She had to change schools in order to leave behind what happened. Her twin brother Alec is not happy about the move and he’s been distant the last months. She’s determined to stay under the radar. She doesn’t want to get noticed, only to graduate and leave. However, when she goes to pick up her brother from a party, she finds herself in the arms of the school’s quarterback.
Lucas is the king of the school. As the quarterback, his popularity is off the charts. Because of a misunderstanding, he finds himself kissing the new girl, Gemma. Unbeknownst to him, he stole her first kiss. Lucas doesn’t hear no as an answer often, so when Gemma dismisses his advances, he can’t stand it. Since she doesn’t want to get involved with the famous crowd, this means war.
“Wicked Saint” has the typical bully romance vibes. Lucas is a real asshole to Gemma, so much so that I had a hard time liking him. Gemma’s twin, Alec, was another character I had a hard time liking. I couldn’t stand the fact that he wasn’t by her side and chose his friends. All in all, it was an enjoyable read, that introduced some really good characters! I’m curious to see what comes next!!
Lucas Saint is my new favorite obsession! Majorly addictive!
This is the 1st book I’ve read written by Veronica Eden; she has done a great job at writing a good book; I can’t wait to read more of her books.
The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.

This is the 1st book in this series but can be read as a stand alone. Gemma and alec move to a new school. She ends up meeting Lucas the king of the school. when she tells him no he has to win her. Will he succeed?

Addictive is a great word for this book. Gemma and Lucas. The king of the school meets the girl who won’t step in line. Her fire keeps him guessing. She won’t back down and this makes Lucas furious. This book is a no hold bar. Torment her till she breaks. Little does he know she won’t break easy. She’s gone through too much in the past to let a bully win.
I loved Gemma in this book she is fierce and feisty and you can’t help but love her. I loved this book and I can’t wait for the next one!
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
the storyline is quiet ok even if a bit slow ( until the last 2 chapters where everything is crumbling down) characters are typical teenagers who at the end of the day just want fit in even if sometime they go to extreme links for it
