“Non-stop action and a hero to die for!”–Alexandra Ivy
“Fast-paced romance…very compelling. Highly recommended.”–Library Journal
Alexandra Monzelle is a hard-fighting, heat-packing Seattle vice cop, and she’s not much interested in being protected. Her short skirt and sex-kitten heels are tools to lure her suspects into talking about the deadly new drug hitting the streets. She can take … drug hitting the streets. She can take care of herself and then some. Unfortunately, she can’t seem to get that through to Kellach Dunne.
Kellach is a fresh import from Dublin, and he’s landed at the heart of a vicious motorcycle club that deals in guns, narcotics, and mayhem. He’s all male, all rough power–and all interference in her damn investigation. Maybe he’s one of the good guys. Maybe not. Lex knows an affair with an immortal like him would risk everything. No matter how delicious he looks…

I love Rebecca Zanetti and her writing style!
I wanted to like this SOOO badly and it just didn’t hit the way I wanted it to.
That’s in large part because of the heroine.
She got on my nerves in the way that made me want to throttle her and throw my kindle lol. If she announced that she was a cop one more damn time…….OOF.
Kell and the story itself def saves this for me and were my fave parts.
I am curious to see if Kell’s brothers get their own HEA!
We’ve met Kellach Dunne for the first time as a Coven Nine’s enforcer in the Dark Protectors series. He’s tall, dark, dangerous and badass, an irresistible combination to Seattle’s PD detective Alexandra Monzelle. She’s not the typical damsel in distress that Kell thinks at first: she’s strong minded, intelligent and brave, all making her a temptation for the witch enforcer. However, she has a lot of trust issues, mainly because of her criminal father betraying her trust and ruining the lives of those around him. This trust issues Lex has, put her in the crossroads with Kell more than once and, in my opinion, sometimes get the reader a little tired of her circling always around the same topic. This doesn’t mean the story is bad, on the contrary, Rebecca delivers a great story, full of intrigue, laugh and steamy scenes but , those doubt moments that Lex has sometimes got me bored and wanted to just skip it.
On the other hand, it was great to see the Dunne brothers with their cousin Simone, also, seeing characters from the Dark Protectors series who make you smile with their antics and wish for more stories with them in it.
All in all, it was a good story, and I intend to keep reading the next book. Can’t wait to see Daire Dunne eat his words on his “ideal” mate, something tells me it’s destined to happen.
Kellach and Alexandra, two cops from different worlds. An unwanted surprise when they get together and it’s quite the ride to figure out if they will survive the ride. Loved the family interaction and all the knowing glances from all the different species, like jokes that went over her head. Loved the leather jacket and the tree, loved the ribbing between Masterson and Bundt and Monzelle. Words to describe Alexandra, fierce, intellect, sweetness, warrior. I loved Kell’s total alpha and protectiveness. Great series.
I voluntarily reviewed this book.
What a great start to the series. Had to get the rest.
I feel like I’m constantly saying this about my go-to authors lately, but it’s been far too long. Even just a few months is too long to go without reading a Rebecca Zanetti book when there are still so many of her stories I haven’t read.
The last few books I read in the Dark Protectors series (this is a spin-off of that series) were actually published after this book. While it didn’t cause any real issues, when I read Talen I had wished I knew more about these Realm Enforcers. So here I am, finally getting around to reading the first in the series, absolutely loving the ride.
On top of the amazing chemistry Kellach and Lex have, they also kept me laughing. I know it doesn’t seem like this should be a lighthearted and/or funny story, but the struggle these two had trying to prove who the Alpha is was so much fun. It was needed in the dark story of drugs and gangs.
There were a few times that I wanted to scream and pull my hair out when it came to Lex. She had a rough life, and I had to remind myself of that over and over when she kept losing her faith in Kellach. And to be fair, on the other side I felt was a bit too aggressive at times. While I can understand the frustration and confusion he was presented with by Lex’s hot and cold attitudes, he was straddling a line I didn’t like and, quite frankly, it knocked a bit off my overall rating. While all of this author’s male leads are very alpha and very forceful in all of their day to day dealings, I was still uncomfortable with a particular scene and how it played out.
Overall, I’m excited to find out more about the rest of these enforcers. I know we’ll see stories on Kellach’s family, I can only hope we see a whole lot more of Bear. In the meantime, I need to be more diligent to be sure I don’t go months without a Zanetti fix.

Awesome, your guaranteed to have a book hangover because you won’t be able to put it down.
Wicked and action packed
Lex is a homicide detective and it appears homicide is on the rise amongst junkies with a new drug on the street. In an attempt to get the drugs off the street, Lex goes undercover. However, she encounters Kell and life suddenly becomes a lot more complicated!
Loved this story and I’m a massive Dark Protectors fan, so it was great to see some of the Kayrs family and more make appearances in this story Looking forward to reading the other Realm Enforcer stories
A must read author and series
I love Rebecca Zanetti!!! I read as fast as she writes!!!
Wicked Ride is a spin off from the Dark Protectors series, if you haven’t read those, I highly suggest you read them first.
While we see many familiar faces in this first Realm Enforcers book, it does have a different feel to it that the Dark Protectors.
Kellach Dunne, realm enforcer for the Coven Nine, finds himself in Seattle investigating a new drug that can harm witches. Lex is a local cop, and their relationship was a little explosive, literally. There were some things about Lex that I really liked, but even until the very end her lack of trust, and way of thinking bothered the ever loving hell out of me. Just when I thought I liked her, bam, she did something stupid again.
The storyline was good, and I’m looking forward to the plot developing further.
Kellach Dunne, enforcer to the Coven Nine, is in Seattle trying to track down a new drug called Apollo. It gives users magic for a few minutes before burning them up inside. Detective Alexandra Monzelle is also on the case. There is an instant attraction between them but Lex pushes him away because he is part of a MC that deals drugs. Once she realizes that he is undercover and no longer human things change.
I like that we are getting this side series with the enforcers. They are mentioned in the Dark Protector series but mostly are background characters protecting a Coven member. I am also glad we get to see more of the witches because they have not got much page time so far.
Kellach is a very protective person. He is constantly in protection mode just like Lex. These two are perfect for each other because they are both strong characters with a strong sense of justice. The need a strong partner that will keep them on their toes and challenge them. Alexandra is a strong, kickass female detective with trust issues. I liked her but those trust issues really got in her way throughout this book. I feel it was one or two many times for her to mistrust Kellach and try to arrest him. It was getting close to being annoying.
Overall, I enjoyed the start of this side series. I can’t wait to see how Daire and Adam fall.
Wicked Ride is the 1st book in the Realm Enforcers series. The Realm Enforcers series is a spin off to one of my all time favorite series Dark Protectors. Where Dark Protectors focuses more on the vampire part of the paranormal world, Realm Enforcers focuses on the witch part. So all the witches we met and fell in love with in Dark Protectors get their stories. Wicked Ride picks up pretty much right after Marked from Dark Protectors ended. Kell, his brothers and Simone are in Seattle trying to find the drug Apollo which is made of planekite which we learned in DP is deadly to witches.
Kell was so yummy. An Enforcer for the witch nation Kell really kicked butt. I liked him when I first read about him in Hunted book 3 in the Dark Protectors series. In this book I fell in love with him. He was so protective and dominant. He really made this book for me. Alexandra (Lex) I liked but at the same time I wanted to smack some sense into her. I loved that Lex was a kick butt cop that knew how to take care of herself, but I hated her trust issues. I understand where they came from but I felt the mistrust of Kell just went on too long for my likings. I liked how protective she was of the ones she cared about but I wanted her to be more loyal to Kell her mate.
I loved the animalistic passion between Lex and Kell. I felt that they made a cute couple and I loved that Kell was so understanding of Lex’s daddy/trust issues. I loved getting to know Kells’ two brothers better. Adam and Daire were both fascinating and I can’t wait to get their books. I also went straight fangirl crazy when some favs from DP made cameos in this book. There was Dage the King, Emma the Queen, Garrett (Talen and Cara’s son) and Logan(Zane’s brother) and I loved every minute of it. I loved the action in this book. It kept the book flowing. I really enjoyed this book and I can’t wait to see who else pops up in the next few books. And God Please Rebecca Zanetti I am begging give Garrett a book Please!!!!
