Liars.
Every last one of them.
The kings and queens of my new high school.
The father and stepmother I never knew.
Each has more wealth and privilege than I could’ve ever imagined.
Each has a pile of wicked dirty secrets they’d do anything to protect.
These people have grown accustomed to getting what they want and what they want is to make my life a living hell.
Too bad for them, you … life a living hell.
Too bad for them, you can’t break someone who’s already broken.
Too bad for them, I won’t give up without a fight.
Too bad for them, I’m going to make them pay…even if it’s the last thing I do.

FIVE WICKED STARS for Jasmine and Kingston !!!
I WANT MORE!!!
Ah, this book is pure perfection from the first page until the last one.
The prologue is so good that was the main reason why I couldn’t stop reading this book until the very end.
Laura Lee is a new author to me so when I decided to read this book I didn’t know what I can expect from it.
I only knew that I love the stunning cover that book has and dark bully high school romance is lately my favorite genre to read.
And once again my instincts were right because I love this book so much!
“Wicked Liars” is a dark bully high school romance with enemies to lovers trope.
Jasmine aka Jazz is a badass and fearless female character that nothing will stop her from intending to reveal the truth about her mother’s death and an intention to secure a better life for her younger sister even though it means living with people who despise her and they are willing to do anything to send her away.
Kingston is a male character that I didn’t like at the beginning because his behavior toward Jazz was awful but after I found out the truth about his hatred Jazz which stands behind his behavior, I changed my mind.
Jazz and Kingston’s relationship is from the very beginning of a real explosion. There are so many emotions between them that after a while they turn into a fire that is impossible to put out.
I also love other characters (Ainsley, Bentley and Reed) and I can’t wait for their stories too!
One more thing…
Cliffhanger.
I need “Ruthless Kings” right now!!!
If you’re looking for a dark bully high school romance book, then this is the book you should read the next!!!
Highly recommended!!!
P.S. Bentley is MINE !!!

She lost the two people who were her everything in life, now she’s been claimed by some rich bloke claiming to be her father.
The minute she walked through the front door she knew it was a whole new lifestyle. She wasn’t one of them and didnt care to be.
Windsor academy is her new school and where she meets them. The kings, the untouchables the most sought after of all.
He sees her and instantly realises it could all come crashing down around his ears.
Plans need to change, to include her and make her toe the line.
What can he do to achieve this without her realising his lies …
Oh wowsers this here folks is my kind of read!
From start to finish the world and everything in it was forgotten. All that mattered were the words on the pages. I devoured this in one sitting and that tells me everything.
Jazz is extremely resilient, and in your face. She doesnt hide nor cower even when the going gets rough and I admired her for this. She’s strong, hardy and easy to like.
Kingston on the other hand is sneaky and devious. Knowledge is power and the answer to everything.
The moments that made him shine, made my heart sing and I was a complete goner. The rest was forgotten.
*shrugs* I like a bad boy!
The chemistry between them is electric and the tension oh my it’s delicious! The will they, wont they moments had me on the edge of my seat.
This is a freaking awesome start to a new academy series!
Such a fun story and a slightly different than the usual bully romances with the element of mystery. What is the hero, Kingston, trying to uncover, and what this the heroine’s, Jasmine (Jazz), involvement? Jazz recently arrives to LA to stay with her newly discovered biological father after her mother’s passing to live with her new family and attend an exclusive preparatory academy. There, she meets Kingston and his crew, Bentley and Reed, along with mean girls, led by the queen bee, her stepsister, currently dating Kingston.
Initially the usual bullying occurs — taunting, belittling because of her impoverished background, harassment. However, Jazz is nobody’s dormant, she can and does defend herself. Goodness I like this heroine! I was pleasantly surprised since often heroines in bully romances tend to endure sometimes relentless taunting without retaliating. Not this chick. Jazz proves to be a self-reliant and strong character while Kingston and other guys are steadily developing an interest. The story continues, tension building, becoming more steamy as a mystery is unfolding.
I really enjoyed the storyline. There was a good balance of dimension in characters, not the usual melodrama of extremes — evil and good, in addition to intriguing arc line transpiring through the series. Great character development, engaging and often spirited interactions between characters and smoldering, steamy sexual tension. At some point, I thought my e-reader would explode. I will add that while the tension building was great, and yes, indeed there were steamy scenes, I was looking for more love connections (yes, sex). I would have enjoyed more adult activity as befitting an erotic, adult romance.
I loved the diversity the author portrayed in the story. Huge kudos for that. I tire of reading homogeneity in new adult bully romances taking place in school or university settings. What is the likelihood all characters are going to look the same way? Instead, this author described a more accurate slice of life, and set in LA, I would have expected no less. Our heroine was of mixed race, and beautifully described as caramel, gorgeous, while other characters in the book were of other backgrounds.
A bit suspension of disbelief at the exuberance of wealth the 18 year olds demonstrated. I might give more credence to it in Dubai. All in good fun, but unlikely. Still, it didn’t detract from the story.
Overall, a great story, absolutely enjoyed it. That cliffhanger was lethal. I cannot wait to read book 2 and see what arises with this crew.
I really enjoyed Wicked Liars. It’s filled with intrigue, emotion, tragedy, suspense, steam and so much more. Jazz loses her mom and is saved from the system by a father she never knew. But life on the other side of the tracks is not as safe as it may seem.
A new family, complete with a stepmom and stepsister. A new school, full of pretentious rich kids. Bullies, both beautiful boys and mean girls. An undeniable sexual attraction. Secrets and lies galore. There’s something sinister going on. All Jazz really wants is to survive her senior year and be a part of her little sister’s life. Too bad someone has another plan.
So much stuff happens in this book. I’m really rooting for Jazz. She’s had a hard life. You know a book is good when you want to yell at a character for choices they make. Kingston’s actions leave a lot to be desired. His possessive nature is sexy but some of the things he does to Jazz are almost irredeemable. I can’t wait to see what happens in book 2. I’m totally invested!
I didn’t think I was going to like this book but it didn’t take long to change my mind. I was drawn in and got trapped. These characters are something else. So many secrets and lies. I wish the second book was done already because you left us with one he’ll of a cliffhanger.
This book was so dark and keeps you guessing from beginning to end! The characters are so well developed and really draw you into this amazingly, thrilling story. I was completely blown away and cannot wait until the next book.
What a total mind fck!! This story will suck you in from the very beginning. Jazz is a bad@$$ chick with a rough past, and zero f*cks to give. Her only weakness— bad boys, and she gets that times three! She hates her new family, and pretty much everyone at her new school, but she hates the “Kings” the most. They’re entitled dicks, and what’s even worse, they’d smoking HOT, irresistible entitled dicks. Jazz is instantly attracted to them, even though she wishes she wasn’t. She’s got the their full attention too, which put her in an impossible position. Are they exactly who they appear to be, or is there more to them than what meets the eye?
I’m gonna go ahead and leave this review off with a cliffhanger, because that’s exactly what this book does. For the record, I actually enjoy a good cliffhanger, when it’s executed just right, and this book does just that! I highly recommend starting this series, because it will blow your mind! <3
Jasmine “Jazz” Callahan’s world has just been turned upside down, her mother has just passed away, and now she has found out that she will be sent to live with a father she hardly knows. He is a wealthy man who only owns the best things, and surrounds himself with people who live comparable lifestyles. Which also means Jazz will now be expected to follow in his footsteps whether she wants to or not, and also means that she will be expected to attend the very best school, Windsor Academy.
The moment she sets foot on campus she knows she is completely out of her element, everyone looks at her like she doesn’t belong, and it’s evident she won’t be making any friends any time soon. She feels like she has just walked into a danger zone, and their first strike is destined to hit her soon!
Wicked Liars is a dark, daring, and suspenseful tale that will have your full attention from the get-go, the moment my eyes hit the words I was fully invested… and it didn’t let up from there! Page after page these characters pulled me farther into their menacing world and had me dying to know more, I couldn’t believe the lengths they went to, to get what they wanted! This one is riddled with deception, tension, games, secrets, passion… all the things that will keep you on the edge of your seat and holding your breath! I cannot wait to see what happens next for these characters, that cliffhanger has me filled with questions, and dying for answers!! If you like angsty, suspenseful, and dark young adult romances then I highly suggest you get your hands on this little gem, it will wreck your heart in the best possible way!
I requested an advanced copy of this title from the publisher, and I am voluntarily leaving my honest opinion.
I absolutely love this book. The Bully Romance genre is not one i associate with Laura Lee, so despite loving the blurb i was worried that this would be a FLOP, but i was so wrong, this has catapulted Laura up to one of my new favorite authors for this Genre.
So this is a Dark Bully Romance, which has a really good plot/story. The characters are so well written, we have Jazz who is the strong heroine that i like, shes feisty and independent but she still has a vulnerable side which you cant help like. As for the boys….well swoon!! You have Bentley who is you funny guy, the LOL moments in this book usually surround him. Then you have Reed, well hes still a bit of a mystery, i sense we will get more from him in the next book. Then lastly you have Kingston and WOW he is everything you would want in the hero, strong, broody alpha hot head!!! The chemistry between him and Jazz is of the charts! I loved the plot so far, i genuinely don’t know where the author is going to take this but i just cant wait. You know you have a read a good book when you find yourself still thinking about it, long after you’ve finished it! Well i am still thinking about this book now!!! I literally screamed at my kindle at the cliff hanger ending….how am i going to cope waiting for the next book, i really don’t know?? Laura Lee you are a genius!!! Thank you for giving us this story and PLEASE don’t make us wait too long for the next one!
I received an ARC from the author via Voracious Readers.
Simply amazing!! I can’t wait to read the next book in the series. I usually hate cliffhangers but with this book… How can I?
There are some pretty graphic scenes do buyer beware!
The story starts off hot, and keeps it up through the whole book. Jazz is unlike any Windsor Academy has seen. She is tough as nails, but hurts on the inside even though she doesn’t want anyone to see her. She is battling a new school, horrible bully’s, and a home that feels like a prison. She is supposed to move into her dad’s home and forget that she ever had a life before Windsor Academy. Her step-sister doesn’t want to be ousted from her top spot, and will stop at nothing to make sure Jazz is out.
Warning: The book tells you that there are triggers, and be warned this is true. This warning is not something to be taken lightly. Personally, I have few triggers, and enjoy the dark and gritty.
Wowser.
I dont usually read bully books but OMG this book was fantastic. I couldn’t stop reading. I absolutely loved it. The story was brilliant and entertaining. The characters are so well written about. The way the story unfolded kept me wanting more. I am in desperate need of the next book like yesterday.
Wicked Liars drew me in from the start, I devoured it in a afternoon. I had to know what was going to happen between Jazz and Kingston. It was full a suspense, high school drama and meaniness, and secrets. And after that cliffhanger ending, I really need the second book now!
Title: Wicked Liars by Laura Lee
Genre: Bully Romance
About the Book: Jasmine “Jazz” loses her Mother and suddenly is living in a world she has never been in with a Father she doesn’t know. She begins at a new school where the queen bees and the men they are after have set themselves to make her regret stepping into their world.
Review: There are some triggers in this book. I have mentioned this before in other reviews but I only like multiple POV when it is done right and this book did it right. This book had so many twists and turns. That cliffhanger left me frustrated and needing to read more
Overall Rating (Out of 5 stars): 5 out of 5 stars
No Spoilers
This goes a touch beyond simple bully romance
There are so many skeletons hanging out in closets with this group
I swear not one of them is anywhere close to being honest with the other
Even “besties” are only looking out for themselves
Jazz has been reunited with her sperm donor ( her words) and is having a hard time adapting to the world of plastic women and Botox smiles
But she needs the clout and the education said sperm donor can provide her. So, for now, she will learn to navigate and conform
Kingston is on a mission of his own looking for vengeance and to make certain payment is rendered for crimes committed
But when Jazz becomes a liability for his crusade he finds he needs to alter his game plan
Should be easy since women can never separate their emotions – right?
Get close enough to make contact then go in for the kill.
Quick, simple
Oh you naive little man
With the cliffhanger this ended on I’m not sure who I believe at the moment
Heck I’m not even sure if I want to know who is behind all this
Be prepared to have your mind warped a touch –
To question which direction is up and which is down
It’s so easy to like these characters
Fall for their smiles
Believe their kindness
Get trapped in the web of lies
Uhm…I don’t even know where to start!
The term “bully romance” is new to me, I don’t think I’ve ever read a “bully” book before, but Oh.Em.Gee.
“Wicked Liars” is the first in a series by Lee and it has it all…a great storyline, love, sex, drugs, rock n roll, romance, love, hate, mystery, characters you’ll cheer for and characters you will want to slap.
Jazz is a girl from the other side of the tracks whose life of barely getting by and losing everything she had (albeit very little) now finds herself surrounded by luxury and prestige. After the death of her mom, she is forced to move across LA to live with her father and his spoiled, rich, bratty and evil daughter, Jazz’s half sister. Even though Jazz has the looks to fit in at the prestigious Windsor Academy, her sister and her atrocious friends make it their mission to ruin Jazz’s existence and any chance of happiness she has at fitting in. When Jazz makes a few new friends, tempers boil and jealousy rages. Family means nothing in this world of liars and selfishness. Jazz’s life is not only changed from the move, but learning who to trust also seems to be a lesson she has to learn the hard way.
The ending left me wanting more, and I can’t wait for Book 2 in this series.
If you want a book that will leave you with ALL the feels, you need this one!
I really couldn’t put this book down, even tho sometimes it felt like total cliche. At times it was predictable, but it had it’s own story line.
After her mother dies,Jazz is sent to live with her father, who she hates. She never really knew him,and he was never really interested in her.He is a very rich snobbish lawyer who is only interested in money and status. That’s not the kin of life Jazz lived, her mother was poor and hardworking woman.
Jazz is not impressed with her new family, especially after they put her in a school for really rich kids.
There she meets Kingston, who is high-school king and in a sort of relationship with her step sister.
They quickly fell in lost with each other, but Kingston’s plans are different.
I liked the plot. It’s a high-school bully romance,it has elements of romance and a little bit of mystery.I want to know more about Kingston plan and his vendetta against his and Jazz’s father.
What I didn’t like too much was the relationship between Jazz and Kingston,it was just too weird and I wished it was more explored, but I expect that in the second part.
Jazz and the Windsor Boys
OMG!!! This was one book I had no idea what would happen! The Windsor boys- Bentley, Reed, and Kingston- Are HORRIBLE!
But I have to love them!!!
Jazz, poor girl gets thrown into a completely different world than she is used to .
The boys take her under their wing, then dont, then do. OMG!! The twists in this story!!! I have to have book 2!!! Summer can’t get here soon enough!! 5 stars!!!
