“Non-stop action and a hero to die for!” —Alexandra IvyWorking as an informant for the DEA, Victoria Monzelle is used to living on the edge. But she’s not a big fan of getting kidnapped. And definitely not by a bunch of bad boy witches with fancy-colored fire to shoot at people. So when Adam Dunne shows up and claims to be a witch enforcer, she’s not going to put her life in his hands based on … hands based on his word, no matter how smooth and smart and beautifully Irish his words sound. But on the run from a tribunal of witches, she isn’t going to make it far . . .
Before she knows it, Adam’s word is all that stands between her and execution. Sophisticated, just-gotta-ruffle-him Adam has vowed to make her his one eternal mate, wild and unpredictable as she is—to save her from a sentence of certain death. But Tori isn’t interested in being anyone’s pity date. And if they think she’s unpredictable now, they should see what’s coming next . . .

Being a DEA informant was never Victoria Monzelle’s plan. Neither is she prepared to be thrown in the middle of conflict between these crazy people shooting fire and darts at each other. Her mission was simple: observe and report, otherwise her friend would be incarcerated for distribution. However nothing prepares her to deal with witch enforcer Adam Dunne. Adam’s life has always been black and white, but recent events endangering his family and fellow Enforcers (as the rest of the witch nation) has shown him that stepping out of the line sometimes is the only way to get results.
Thrown together into this investigation with death threats all around them, Adam and Tori will have to navigate through their feelings for each other, motorcycle gang members and flying darts with the street’s most deadly New drug: Apollo. This drug can kill not only humans but witches, and is being tested in Seattle and Dublin.
I must say this was kind of a roller-coaster journey for me. When one thing is coming to a resolution, they find themselves again in the midst of danger, so saying that you’ll be on the edge of your seat all the time while reading is an understatement. Furthermore, we’ve got glimpses of previous characters, not only the Enforcers are back, we’ve got a few priceless moments with the King of the Realm and, moreover, Bear is back; although his health is quickly deteriorating. I truly can’t wait for Bear and Nessa’s book, and what awaits them.
And the last of the Dunne witch brothers and Coven Nine Enforcers has his turn to fall. But for this controlled, highly intelligent skilled enforcer, it won’t be just anyone. And it wasn’t. He has definitely met his match. A hidden agenda, betrayals, and edge of the seat excitement surround quite the spirited romance.
Wicked Kiss is book four in the Realm Enforcers series which is the extension of the earlier Dark Protectors. It follows on the heels of the books before it and assumes the reader is familiar with the world and characters so it doesn’t do well as a standalone or out of order.
I loved getting Adam’s story as he was the interesting brother of the three witch brother enforcers. He’s so put together and now he is matched up with a woman who is as far from put together as can be. Victoria Monzelle is not new to the series and is the sister of the heroine from book one. Unlike Alex who is a tough cop, Victoria is the wild child. She gets into trouble without trying and she has a defiance issue that sparks to life the second she’s in over her head or anywhere near Adam.
I confess that I’m on the fence about Victoria. On the one hand, I find her fun and amusing as a heroine who discovers herself along the way. She was a good foil for Adam and got him down off his high horse at times. On the other hand, she just blissfully trots into danger with no thought for consequences because A. she wants to and doesn’t think through what her actions will cause or B. She has a switch that turns off her brain the second Adam gives her an order even if its for hers or other’s safety. So, they had good banter and some chemistry, but I was reserved about her oppositional tendencies.
The ongoing troubles with the attempt to destroy the witch nation continues to draw ever more suspenseful and tight as Adam and the others get closer to the instigator behind it all who is protected behind well constructed allies and plans. Things are particularly rough in this one because most of Adam’s family are in hiding because the lead witch of the Coven Nine wants them incapacitated or dead. I liked the sense of desperation and the great action scenes. It didn’t hurt that Dage the Vampire King made a few appearances.
Each book reads fast and leaves me thirsty for the next installment. I love the hints that a certain Council Witch and a crotchety, crazy bear shifter might be the next to see some action.
All in all, I eagerly snatch up the next books and love the blend of action, suspense and sizzling passion the author brings to her paranormal romances. Those who enjoy strong action plot and characters should give these a try.
This may seem to be a weird place to start my review of this book, but I want to talk about the author’s dedication. Just days before reading this story, there was some controversy after some dude talked about trashy and not trashy romance, basing his opinion strictly on the covers of two books. (For the record, there is no such thing as trashy romance in my opinion. Different people like different things, doesn’t make one thing trashy and another not.) After a lot of back and forth and the guy trying to defend himself, it turns out his young daughter (I believe he said 10?) loves romance and he wouldn’t want her reading anything with a lot of sex. Ummm, dude. There’s a YA category of books for a reason. Doesn’t make an story meant for adults trashy just because it’s not appropriate for a tween. Anywho, then I see this dedication Rebecca Zanetti wrote to her son back 3 years ago basically saying he’d get a ribbing from friends for his mom’s mushy words, but his friends aren’t old enough to read her books anyway. And if any girl ever says she read his mom’s books then they’re too old for him. Oh boy, I know this has nothing to do with this story and how it’s written and all that, but it sure made me love this author even more. I just had to mention it because it made me laugh and brought me joy.
On to the story! The stories in the Realm Enforcers series tend to have a lot of action. I think this one had even more than the previous books. After all, Tori was already in dire straights when Wicked Burn ended, and Adam had already put his reputation on the line more than once to get her to safety. That means this book ended up quite the page turner.
There is part of me that was thoroughly annoyed with Victoria. Why couldn’t she just listen to Adam and let him help her? So frustrating! For some of the things, she had good reason. No spoilers here, but we all know that Tori, like her sister, is going to be an enhanced human. Turns out her “gift” is a bit different and really unexpected. But instead of confiding in Adam, even after she realizes he knows there has to be something special about her, she just keeps taking off on her own. I’m telling you, Adam had way more patience than I would have had!
On the other hand, I felt for Tori. One second she’s unfortunate enough to witness a weird fight at her friend’s house, the next she’s waking up in another country across an ocean with no explanation of the crazy things she keeps witnessing. And once the crazy things are explained, she’s supposed to come to terms with the fact that there are witches and vampires and demons and more. Plus, her sister is married to one! That’s a lot for anyone, seriously. Which made me try to cut her some slack when she was being unreasonable about the whole situation.
That all being said, I really enjoy the relationship Adam and Victoria have and the chemistry that sparks between them whenever they’re together. As much as Tori just wants to keep her friends and loved ones safe, she’s in a situation that makes that extremely difficult to do without hurting other friends with her new knowledge. Once she gives herself over to the fact that the best way to do that is to accept Adam’s help, she jumps in with both feet and turns out to be a very bright and crafty ally to her immortal friends.
I love the way everyone bands together in this story. It’s been building and building in momentum through each book. We still don’t have all of the answers, but the key players are watching each other’s backs and putting it all out there to help in any way possible. There is such a deep loyalty within these groups of friends and I love it all. Now if they can just help Bear and get to the bottom of everything else I’ll be a happy camper.

Adam Dunne has finally tracked down Tori and saved her from the Council. She doesn’t trust any of them and tires to leave at the first opportunity. Adam quickly realizes there might be a connection between the recent upheaval of the council and the drug Apollo.
To start with, I liked the overarching story for this book. We finally see some headway with the Apollo drug and the Council. I really am curious how this will conclude and how it will tie into the Dark Protectors series.
Sadly, I didn’t really like Tori. She was annoying. I felt she never took the situation seriously and would try to joke it off. Or she was always trying to be the one in control when clearly she wasn’t. I liked Adam though. He was dedicated to the safety of his race and the Council, even when it was falling apart. I didn’t love their relationship. It never clicked for me and maybe it would have if I had liked Tori more.
Overall, I know this was important for the continuation of the story but I just didn’t love this couple.
Everything this author writes is intriguing. Great character development and integration
A wicked she will never forget!
Tori’s world is literally crumbling as everything she’s ever known has been turned upside down! When she’s taken hostage by the witches, she never once imagined that a world of immortal species could exist on Earth with humans. Adam finally tracks her down and intends on her finding her way back to Seattle on a plane, but Tori has other plans Tori is working as an informant for the DEA and keeps finding herself in trouble or on the wrong side of things until Adam comes to the rescue
Tori and Adam are constantly at logger heads with everything but her sassy nature certainly brought Adam out of his logical indifference to almost loose control a few timesSuffice to say that Adam and Tori are some of my favourite characters but they are below Daire and Cee Cee who are both just hoots
Looking forward to Bear and Nessa next
Wicked Kiss is the 4th Realm Enforcers book, sexy and action packed. I really liked it. I loved Adam, but Tori got on my nerves at first. Thankfully that only lasted for so long. Together they balanced each other, each being exactly what the other needed.
Some real progress is made in the ongoing storyline. It was fun and exciting, all while being a bit angsty. It made for a really good combination!
Wicked Kiss, the 4th book in the Realm Enforcers series by Rebecca Zanetti, was awesome. I love me some Rebecca Zanetti. She is one of my top 5 favorite authors and she never fails to deliver amazing action packed reads with sexy heroes, and sassy heroines. I have been looking forward to Adam’s book since Wicked Burn. Adam and Tori had major sparks in the last book and I knew they would be smoking hot together!
Adam was all cold logic and strategy so it was fun to see him burn hot for Tori. Adam was all about smarts, calm, control, and following the rules. Things were black and white for him no gray areas until Tori. She made him feel alive. I loved how he would go from calm Mr. cold logic to total bada$# if someone dared to hurt his Tori! Tori was very cute. She was sassy and wild but she had some daddy issues. I loved that Tori wasn’t super tough but she was brave. I also loved her strange enhancement. In this world enhanced human women can be mates to vampires, demons, witches, etc. Most enhancements in this series and the Dark Protector series have been things like empath, telekinesis, Second sight, or other psychic abilities, but Tori’s ability was unique and I liked that it was different.
Wild Tori and reserved Adam together were like fire and ice. Tori really got under Adam’s skin. She made him feel so much. She got him to be playful, and she just really brought his character to life. Adam and Tori really complemented each other. Just like Tori got Adam to loosen up a little and live, Adam tamed Tori. He believed in her and supported her. He helped her calm her powers and he loved her for who she was. I loved getting to see the Dunne gang again, including Bren and Jase. Dage (The king from DP) was in this book and I loved every moment with the King! I would have loved more of the Dark Protector gang because I love and miss them so much, but I also love getting to know the witches of the Realm better too. The plot in this book was fast pace and full of action. The smexy time was yummy. Rebecca Zanetti also gave us readers more yummy Bear who is having some health issues and I can’t wait for his book!!
Tori has been kidnapped by the witches because she knows about them. Adam, the only Enforcer from his family left working for the Coven Nine, is the logical, sexy, suit wearing brother. He rescues her but they are caught and taken before the council. He either mates Tori within a couple of days or they will kill her.
They go to Seattle and hide out, trying to find out who is making the drug Apollo. It is dangerous and can kill mates and humans. What Adam doesn’t know is that Tori is being blackmailed by an agent for the DEA. She finds who is distributing Apollo or her friend goes to jail and her cop sister is arrested. So while Adam is trying to find the drug maker, prove his cousin innocent of treason, and keep Tori alive, she’s running all over town getting into trouble.
Tori is wild and independent. And it’ll take more than just fantastic sex with Adam to tame her.
Loved this story. I laughed and I was totally hooked on this book. It’s fast paced, exciting, and hot as heck.

Rebecca Zanetti’s, Realm Enforcer book 4, Wicked Kiss is totally explosive. This non stop action pack, twist turning sexually heated book is one once you start reading you don’t want to put down.
Tori has been kidnapped by Witches because she has recently found out they as well as demons and vampires live in this world that she lives. The withes can’t have their identity known and sentence her to death.
Adam is the last Realm Enforcer brother who works for the Coven nine council. A council which is slowly falling apart. He needs to protect his family, who are in hiding, thanks to some drummed up charges. Stop the drug Apollo from hitting the streets and from killing both humans and witches. And now he feels the need to protect Tori, hi sister in law, as well.
Adam tries to buy time by agreeing to mate Tori in exchange for her life, which does not sit well with Tori. Together they try to beat the Coven Nine at their own game while going directly against his beliefs. He refuses to mate because he is forced into it and she feels the same. Too bad the chemistry between them is so explosive they can’t deny fate.
This is a fast paced paranormal book that once you read it you want to go back and re-read it all over again hoping you didn’t miss anything. I so can’t wait for the next book to come out in this awesome series.
Zanetti can do no wrong! I love her!!!
Wicked Kiss by Rebecca Zanetti may be the fourth book in the Realm Enforcers series but I easily read it as a stand alone.
I can always count on Ms. Zanetti to develop a fast paced plot, well-defined characters that a reader can become attached to and a story that engages you from the first page. From page one the story grabbed me and I couldn’t put it down. Tori and Adam played perfectly off each other and it was interesting to see their relationship develop as they both worked together to save Tori’s life. Suspense, paranormals and hot romance make this a mesmerizing read.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book from Kensington via NetGalley. All of the above opinions are my own.
