Tobias Walcott, the Earl of Blade, has learned it is best to exercise rigid control over his passions and emotions in all that he does. Uncaring that it makes him seem cool and aloof to most in the ton, he is content with his desire to only woo agreeable and demur females. Then unforeseen circumstances see him trapped in a closet at a house party with the last woman he would ever make his … his countess.
Lady Olivia Sherwood is everything he should not desire in a female-unconventional, too decisive, and utterly without decorum. But passion ignites between them and they are discovered. Honor demands they wed, and while Tobias finds himself unwillingly drawn to the bewitching beauty, he must do everything not to tempt the passion that burns in him for her, lest it leads to disastrous consequences.
Each book in the Wedded by Scandal series is a standalone, full-length story that can be enjoyed out of order.

The best grand gesture ever!
Tobias is the coldest of Earls, holding tight to every emotion, never letting even the hint of passion for anything into his life. Olivia is, of course, nothing but a flaming burst of excitement. When they are forced to marry Tobias tries his best to resist the fiery beauty, but Olivia is determined to be the wife he needs but not wants. This book contains one of the best grand gestures ever, I loved seeing the aloof Tobias brought to his knees!
The Duke Has A Secret
Tobias, Earl of Blade lives his life to always be in control,. Then he meets Olivia Sherwood. A free spirit who swims, loves fishing, fences, rides astride and is an exception painter whose paintings are actually making money. Caught in a compromising situation, Tobias marries Livvie. He constantly fights his feelings as she turns his world upside down. The more he resists his feeling, the more he hurts Olivia, until he breaks her heart. To win her back he must reveal his secret and his love. A real year jerker with a lot of angst for an HEA.
4.5 stars
Oh, this sassy, feisty, strong willed heroine can’t seem to help herself, folks. No, Olivia Sherwood definitely speaks her mind and doesn’t want to be boxed in by London’s society’s long list of do’s and don’ts, especially when it comes to signing up for a loveless marriage. She does make attempts to reign her tongue in, but her eyes and raised eyebrow usually give herself away. Feeling at times like a hopeless, utter disappointment does weigh heavily on her soul though, because she knows the painful, hurtful consequences of the Ton’s tongue wagging can cause.
Tobias, the hero, is carrying emotional baggage of his own. Therefore, he keeps denying it but Olivia brings out a long suppressed part of himself simmering under the surface. He keeps telling himself he must remain aloof, avoid scandal at all cost, and never be manipulated by love. Olivia is the only woman free spirited/hot blooded enough to challenge those theories by taking him on…nose to nose..and heart to heart.
There is lots of relationship angst, back and forth bickering banter/even insults thrown around, but these two opposites attract lovebirds’ destiny won’t be denied. The proof is in the pudding, my fellow romance book loving friends, in their heated arguments and hot and heavy smexy scenes. There were a few things here and there that maybe should have lowered my rating a tad more. But, overall, I enjoyed seeing this hero eventually brought to his knees by love enough I didn’t let them overly sway me.
The storyline had a classic romantic undertone where the hero does stubbornly protest too much he doesn’t need or want love but ends up ultimately having to fight for it. Along the way, you will have to endure his stubborn, knucklehead hardheadedness and hurtful at times words/actions. As a lover of relationship angst and grand gestures, I did enjoy seeing them finally get their HEA.
Title: Wicked in His Arms, Series: Wedded by Scandal (Book 2), Author: Stacy Reid, Pages: 236, stand-alone but part of a series, sassy/feisty heroine, refuses to love knucklehead/hard headed/hurtful at times hero, relationship angst, back and forth bickering banter, attempted rape scene, grand gesture, groveling hero, OW want him.

Lady Olivia aka is a woman ahead of her time and refuses to let the rules of ton change her. After the scandal of her father , Olivia mother remarried once her step dad was sick he decides to send her to his cousin to prepare her for a season. While there the sparks fly with Olivia and Tobias.
Tobias is known as the cold duke . Never shows emotions and hate womanly acts of manipulation. He once ended an engagement with a woman when she had a temper tantrum. Even though he hates to show emotions he has a dark past of a father who was controlling, abusive , and a rake. He refuses to become so worrying becomes his outlet where can reveal his emotions . Then comes lady Olivia full of spirit one whom makes him show his hidden emotions and it scares him. Upon acting on those emotion he decides to send her and they send Tom a bunch entertainment.
I absolutely adore this author, her characters are strong but some what broken. Once I started reading i couldn’t stop till finished. I felt the pain, love, and passion that these characters have… Absolutely loved this book ..
What a read it was!
I do adore how Stacy Reid builds her story and draws her characters, everything is perfectly crafted and the plot goes smoothly.
Olivia Sherwood is such an awesome woman, she was not raised the usual way for a girl born during this time period, she was brought up like a boy, permitted to fish, swim or fence like no other girl. I do loved her spitfire personality, her sharp tongue and unusual opinion. She lets nobody walks on her, when hurt, she returns blow for blow. She knows she is unconventional but for no one will she changes who she is, she might compromise but never will she extinguishes her inner core.
Tobias Walcott was quite an arse and often a jerk with her. Even if he has his own reasons to be as he is, he was often cruel and mean with her, carrying forward his frustrations on her. He has two sides but he lets only show the polite, controlled one, hiding his wild nature as ashamed of it. He thinks that doing so he will redeem the past sins of his forefathers.
They appear at first as very opposite to another but not so when you know what they keep under key.
Many times I would have slapped Tobias on his head for belittling Olivia when he was afraid of his feelings, while she is one to be cheered up, she is not to be crushed, she fights back with her fists or her smart tongue and she does it with magnificence. She is also not shy to confess her sentiments and does not cover up what she feels.
But I also do loved that when he makes the last of his many errors, hurting so deeply his wife, she decided to leave to lick her wounds, Mrs Reid made his grovel, and he has to grovel big, and he does it the most awesome way possible.
I do just adored this enemies to lovers tale with no time-outs, a tortured alpha hero and his perfectly complementary half.
Tobias and Olivia are perfect opposites; she is holding out for love and he is running from it as fast as he can. He wants the perfect society wife; perfect isn’t in her vocabulary. They can’t stay away from each other. Can two totally different people come together and be happy? Warning! Olivia in not your average shrinking violet. Great book and has 219 pages to thoroughly enjoy.
