The edgy, angsty, addictive YA/NA crossover series from L A Cotton continues… Some hearts are too broken to fix. Kiera Lessinger’s whole life is a lie. Attend high school with her rich friends, check. Act sickeningly in love with her goofball-of-a-boyfriend, check. Pretend that every day isn’t a living nightmare, check. She didn’t ask to be thrust into her new life, but if it means escaping … ask to be thrust into her new life, but if it means escaping her past she’ll do whatever it takes to stay there. Even if it means forgetting the boy with eyes bluer than the ocean and a smirk that only ever led to trouble.
Trey Berrick has cleaned up his act. No longer the boy breaking hearts with a could-care-less attitude, he’s finally trying to be the man his family always wanted him to be. Sophomore in college, check. The forever girl, check. But despite having the world at his feet, Trey can’t forget the girl with pink in her hair and pain in her eyes.
He’ll always be the boy who broke her heart and she’ll always be his friend’s little sister. Their story was never meant to have a happy ending.
Or was it?
*Wicked Hearts is the sixth book in the Wicked Bay Series but can be read as a standalone

I adore the relationship between Kiera and Trey, they have an instant spark and the friendship that grows in the process of everything else they go through is beautiful. L.A. Cotton did a fantastic job once again with this fantastic addition to the Wicked Bay series. This group has been through the ringer and they keep, not just enduring but thriving, and they do it together. Despite the secrets, they always have at least one other in their group that they can confide in, but it always seems to be for naught. These are some of the most perceptive teens and young adults, and well as the most forgiving and loving. I love these stories and always look forward to reading them!
Forbidden love and more characters from the Wicked Bay series. What was not to love.
Kiera has not always been part of the Wicked Bay crowd but she is now and is trying to find her place. Who is the real Kiera, the one everyone sees? Trey is the player but has he really changed.
Another great read that provides the right amount of angst, steam, romance, and trouble. Ms. Cotton once again writes a story that build in angst and craziness. As two people who try to shed their past and find their happiness there is plenty of turmoil.
Is there happiness in the end…….. well you will just have to read it to find out.
*I received a free copy of this book which I voluntarily chose to write an honest review for.
So this is actually the first book in this series that I have had the chance to read but that does not really matter because this worked well as a stand alone as well. We meet Kiera as she is finishing her Senior year of high school. At fifteen she fell in love with the older Trey yet they were unable to be together so instead each pretty much made some really bad decisions and tried to move on in their own way. Enter the current time where life throws them back in each other lives making things difficult yet again. We get sparks ,drama, tension, and much more in this second e YA moving into NA romance novel. Wonderful writing that kept me hooked. I really liked it so I give it 4/5 stars.
I’m both happy and sad right now. I loved getting Keira and Grey’s story…finally! I was so upset for them. Lost in the idea and devastated by the reality before this book started. Reading their heartbreak in Wicked Surprise was painful even without knowing everything. Seeing their struggle in the background throughout this series was rough. So I’m glad we got our answers! I’m glad we got our happy! But my heart still hurts and it’s not going away for awhile, LA Cotton set me up. She knows it. I know it. I’m not in a forgiving mood either!
Trey and Keira are every bit of heartache, angst, and contentious need you expect from this series. They have some serious pitfalls. It’s all a giant ball of pain and frayed nerves. Until the knots are untangled and pain is released…
These Wicked Hearts were broken and alone. It’s sounds cliche and dorky but together they are whole. I loved this book and I look forward with fear and trepidation to the next book!
Reviewed for Sweet Spot Sisterhood
I loved Kiera and Trey. I wanted to throw my kindle at times over the stupid stuff Trey did and how he broke Kiera’s heart but he redeems himself in the end. You get Kiera’s back story and how the two of the met and then ended. It was truly hardbreaking at moments. You really felt their emotions. And we get a possible foretelling of the next book with Summer and Nick! Can not wait!
What amazing read that will blow you away. You will falling in love with this story and words that come off the pages. This is a amazing book that will have your hearts in piesce and wanting it put back togther.
Wicked Hearts had some angst and some Aww moments where you fell in love with Trey & Kiera.
Both of them were stubborn but Kiera was strong and fiery and also very sweet, as for Trey well he was handsome, and like I mentioned. He was the friend of Kyle so of course he had to be careful with his sister. Through it all we revisit the past to what led up to these events and to how they are. But you will love it. I do know that I need to read the rest of the series because I would love to know more about the side characters that were involved in the story.
***I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.***
This was another great book by L.A. Cotton! This book follows Kiera and Trey’s love story!
They have quite the series of ups and downs and Kiera’s lifestyle doesn’t exactly help as she has been trying to fit into the lifestyle her Brother Kyle has grown up with. Kiera and Trey came in hot then sizzled right out, but every time they saw one another, the flame reignited. They both thought they shouldn’t be with the other. Trey was Mavericks best-friend and Kiera was Kyle’s little sister.
“Trey Berrick wasn’t just any guy. He was that guy. The guy your heart wanted, but your head knew was a bad idea. A very bad idea.”
I cannot wait for Summer’s story in the next Wicked Bay series!
I enjoyed this story. Kierra and Trey had great personalities and they meshed so well.
The beginning started off a little slow for me, but once it picked up I couldn’t put it down. I needed to know why Kierra was so guarded.
L.A. Cotton kept me waiting up until the very end to see how everything was going to turn out, which I loved!
Overall this book was well written, 4 stars.
Loved, loved, LOVED this book!
It was love at first sight… unfortunately, it was forbidden love. She’s the little sister, he’s always been the playboy. Kiera’s life hasn’t been an easy one. On the outside she appears to be tough-as-nails, but on the inside she’s broken. Trey was a “bad boy” with no plans to stick with one girl… until he sees Kiera.
Another great book in the Wicked Bay series! L.A. Cotton gets me every book… once I start, I just can’t stop until I hit that last page! So much angst, drama, and absolutely amazing characters!
Wicked Hearts, a Wicked Bay Book #6.
Kiera Stone, the newest addition to the Stone/Princes family. On the outside she is happy, but on the inside she’s feeling like a fraud, and are filled with insecurity.
I liked her a lot. But I can’t say the same for Trey. The way he act’s and how he treats Keira…just why?!
Wicked Hearts is a story about young love and filled with so much angst!
-Stina, A Woman & Her Books
A nice addition to the Wicked Bay series. I’m hoping there will be more.
Kiera and Trey’s story was fantastic. A story that kept me on my toes and reading way past my bedtime! It was an emotional rollercoaster and as always, filled with the originality, the feels and angst that we have come to expect from this author. I love this series, and this couple were a brilliant addition.
There was a lot of hurt and a lot of pain from both of their pasts and their history together. My heart hurt for them as a couple. But the chemistry between the two was strong and as a reader I really rooted for them to finally get their HEA. They just had to go through a lot of stuff along the way.
Having followed the entire series, I’ve been waiting to see how this would pan out and so pleased we finally have our answers.
4.5 Stars
“Trey Berrick wasn’t just any guy. He was that guy. The guy your heart wanted, but your head knew was a bad idea. A very bad idea.”
With Wicked Hearts L.A. Cotton continues to amaze me. The love story of one of the youngest and definitely newest Stone-Prince family member brings us right back into the Wicked Bay world. Kiera is an easy lovable character, she’s fierce and fearless, she’s content, simple and complex at the same time. I love how the author let her grow through the story. Not only her character but also her place within the family and friends.
”I wasn’t the white knight in this story; I was the wicked king.”
Kiera’s and Berrick’s story was entertaining and kept my interest from the first page to the last. It has an easy flow, even though we are going back and forth between past and present. That’s because their past is as important as the present because it still holds some strings that inlfuence their present. However, I’d love to have had some more time with them as a present couple. I personally think that part was way to short.
”I want you. I want your flaws and insecurities and hopes and dreams. I want evrything about you.”
Wicked Hearts is a beautiful and lovely addition to the Wicked Bay series. A book you definitly don’t want to miss, if you love this great series!
Another brilliant story from L A Cotton in this series.. have loved every single one and Kiera and Trey’s story is no exception !
As always plenty of angst and broken hearts along the way making for a real page turner. These characters just come alive in the hands of LA Cotton, you want to jump on a plane over to Wicked Bay and become their new best friend.. or girlfriend!!
These men sure do know how to claim their women !!
Not quite as much sizzle as some of the others in the series as this is a very on off deal that doesn’t conclude til near the end of the story.. so whilst there are a lot of feelings running deep there’s much more “will they, won’t they” than actually getting it on !
I loved finding out more about Kiera, and Trey wasn’t quite what I thought he’d be either.
Can’t wait to get Summers story now.. Ms Cotton has certainly sown the seeds ready for that one !!
I love this YA/NA series. L.A. Cotton has delivered another great read filled with angst and young love. Words cannot express how much I love this series. LA Cotton always knocks it out of the park with her books making her an instant 1-click author.
If you haven’t read the other books in the series then I suggest you do so you can fully appreciate the relationships between all the characters.
This instalment is Keira and Trey’s story. Keira is Kyle’s half sister and is relatively new the Wicked Bay crowd seeing as they have only just met. Trey is one of Maverick’s best friends.
I loved Keira, she has had a different life then the Kyle and the others and often feels out of place around them even though they couldn’t be more welcoming. When she meets Trey during her first introduction to the group she is immediately attracted to him despite him being 18 and off to college and her being only 15.
Both Trey and Keira are hurting for different reasons and putting on brave fronts with everyone else, but together when they aren’t fighting their feelings they seem to help each other heal in some ways.
I could understand Trey’s reluctance to give into his feelings for Keira as he is older then her and she is off limits as his friends sister but my heart broke for her with each rejection from him.
In this book you go back and forth between the present and the past so you can see what has happened between them to get them to the point they are at now.
As much as they both have tried to move on from each other the connection between them can’t really be denied and its inevitable they will be brought back together. Its just a matter of timing
As much as I have loved reading Trey and Keira’s story, im sorry but Lo and Maverick will always be my favourite Wicked Bay couple
Okay so I’m late in the game (hangs head in shame) but I promise that I will go back and read the rest of the Wicked Bay novels as I fell in love with Kiera and Trey. From start to finish their love was undeniable, how they each held each other’s stares being unable to do anything about it as Kiera was too young and pretty much it would be jail bait if Trey to pursue her the way he wanted. But nonetheless, they both knew they had too many obstacles in the way for them to be a couple. So they went on their merry ways.
But Kiera couldn’t deny how hurt she was that Trey didn’t make an effort to try and make things right and the only people that counted were her brother and her mother’s approval, but Trey didn’t think that her brother would be game with him dating his little sister so he cowardly left it alone and instead found himself a girlfriend that his father approved of, now that he never approved of anything Trey did.
Kiera also found solace in Jack even though she knew that what she had with Jack was just in passing, a fling for the summer until she had to leave to San Diego to start college. She wasn’t in love with Jack, he was just a distraction for her.
But when Trey comes back to Wicked Bay, can he prove to Kiera that his love for her is true and all he wants is to make her happy?? Kiera already has doubts when it comes to Trey, so can she trust him?
This was such a cute romantic love story between these two kids. I am the type that will root for the main characters until the end no matter what obstacles are put in their way, I know they will find a way to make their HEA happen and that’s exactly what Kiera and Trey did.
A great read.” You are enough” as Trey tells Keira . Trey needed to realize he was also enough just the way he was. Two people who had to a few obstacles to finish before they could finally be together. I only wished we got to see more of Trey & Keira after the relationship took off.
I have been in love with this series since the very 1st book! There’s drama, love and ohh so much angst, no one does it quite like Cotton! I have a seriously low attention span and get bored with things very easily but, 6 books in and I’m still totally wrapped up in this series.
I have been so interested in Keira ever since she first made her appearance, wayyy back when she was stalking Kyle! I think it was Wicked Suprise that we first figured out that there was something more going on with Keira and Trey but we never knew to what extent their relationship was or their heartbreak…
Now, we finally get Trey and Keira’s story.
“A broken girl and a lost boy healing each other, murmuring promises of the future and forever.”
Keira Lessinger, the girl from Rotunda and Kyle Stones long lost little sister. Keira hasn’t had it easy, growing up where she has and her mom being an addict who only recently got clean. Keira has grown up with the sense that she isn’t enough and now she is stuck in between two worlds. One in Rotunda, where she’s from and around what she’s used to, and the other in her brother’s upper-class world of Wicked Bay, where everything and everyone seems perfect, unlike the sassy girl with pink hair.
Trey Barrick, smartass playboy, and Kyle Stone’s best friend.
From the first traded insults at The Shack, Tray is smitten with the smart-mouthed pink haired beauty. Then his best friend introduces her as his baby sister AND tells him she’s 15 years old. That kind of puts a damper on things for a while but, he still can’t get the pink haired girl out of his head.
They run into each other a year later and the two strikes up an unusual friendship, one that’s hidden in secret. They start sneaking around meeting whenever Trey is home from college. The chemistry between them is palpable and their feelings are only getting stronger.
Trey knows she’s young and that Kyle would never be OK with them being together but there’s something about Keira and her undeniable unique ways that make Trey want more, more then he’s ever wanted, and more then he’s allowed to want. After sharing a kiss they agree it can’t go anywhere with them and to just stay friends. So when Trey goes back to college they continue sneaking around talking and texting for months.
“Trey Barrick wasn’t just any guy. He was that guy. The guy your heart wanted, but your head knew was a bad idea. A very bad idea.”
Until one day when Trey texts Keira telling her he’s coming home and “they need to talk” Keira has completely fallen for Trey by this point so when he calls she assumes that he wants to talk about them actually being together no matter the consequences from her brother or anyone else, but unfortunately when Trey picks her up… that’s not the conversation that they have.
Trey, trying to be the kind of man his father would be proud of, makes decisions that unfortunately hurt Keira and she’s left yet again feeling as if she isn’t enough. What Keira doesn’t know is how destroyed Trey is after doing what he thinks is the right thing.
Eventually, they both meet other people, which takes us to the NOW.
Trey has a serious girlfriend, Keira has a serious boyfriend. But Trey is back in Wicked Bay and those feelings have never really gone away… so where does that leave them? Will it finally be the right time for these two?
You’ll have to read Wicked Hearts to find out!
*I voluntarily reviewed an advanced complimentary copy of this book.
Kiera had never fitted in since she found out Kyle was her half sibling, as much as she tried it never worked, neither did her boyfriend but she was just waiting to leave to go to college, no one could find out about the boy who broke her heart.
Trey realised that Callie needed someone who could give her one hundred percent, which wasn’t him, but they worked for now. Deciding to go home, Trey forgot about the engagement party, she was going to be there, but she’d moved on and he assured himself he could handle it.
Seeing Trey brought back memories, seeing him appear jealous at the mention of her boyfriend eased her pain, but she couldn’t talk to him anymore. Kiera assures Macey that he kept his promise and had stayed away until tonight. She can’t help but remember when she met Trey and was told that Kyle and Maverick would never okay with the idea of them.
They were young before and it was the wrong place, wrong time, but can they make it work now there older, Kiera has never felt she’s good enough for their world, Trey never thought he was good enough for her or that anyone would accept it, can they both stop running from what everyone else sees and they think they don’t.
