I loved him. He betrayed me.
He tried to ruin my chance of happiness, but I’m not going down so easily.
There are questions I need answered. Secrets that need to be brought into the light. And a king who needs to be taken off his throne.
I’m still the object of his obsession, but I can work around that.
They say all’s fair in love and war. But if Caleb Asher taught me anything, it’s that this … taught me anything, it’s that this is definitely not love.
What do you think, Caleb? Are you ready for one last game?
This is a dark high school bully romance with mature content and themes. It contains dubious situations that some readers may find offensive. If you’re looking for a white knight hero, this book is not for you.
Wicked Games is book two of the Fallen Royals Series. It is part of a trilogy and NOT a standalone.

OMG Are you KIDDING me with this!?!? Seriously I could NOT put this down! Nonstop action, lie under lie, so much angst… WHAT IS GOING ON? Caleb and Margo, WHAT HAPPENED? You want them to fix whats broken instead of continuing to destroy each other. It seems like every step forward we take its two steps back. I love these two together! I love that they have a shared history and I’m really rooting for them working everything out to find their HEA. Robert and Lenora are the best and what every foster kid dreams of. The supporting characters are intriguing, many of which I want to know more about. What’s up with Claire? And AHHH that ending, I absolutely can’t wait for the next book in this series!
If you thought the first Fallen Royals Book left you speechless and needing more—you haven’t seen anything until this one! S. Massery once again takes you on a crazy secret and deceit filled ride, with so many twists and turns it has you second guessing everything and everyone!
As crazy as it sounds, I love the crazy possessive and slightly stalkerish relationship that Margo and Caleb have going on, and love how their relationship is slowly evolving—especially with Margo finding her own strength and powers over Caleb. Her development as a character is fun to read, and I love how Massery slowly (oh so slowly) starts to unveil the secrets of her past and takes us further down the rabbit hole of mystery, suspense and hidden agendas.
However, in a world fueled by secrets who can you really trust? Just when you think you have something figured out another player enters the field, a strategic chess piece is moved and bam! You’re back to square one. And that ending?!?! What can I said…I do love a good cliffhanger! 😉
Wow, this second installment in the Fallen Royals series was excellent! Jam packed with action from beginning to end, I just could not put it down! I ended up starting and finishing it all in the same day!
Caleb and Margo continue with their push and pull relationship throughout some of the book, but there’s also some mystery to it that makes it that much better. I love Sara Massery’s writing style and storytelling, and I am definitely going straight to the third book in this series, because I just can’t wait to see what happens! Definitely recommended!
This was a re-read for me, and this time on audio.
I have to say it again how much i LOVE Stephanie and Troy as Margo and Caleb. In fact when I hear them on any other audios I keep thinking I’m listening to this trilogy.
I love Margo and her strength. Despite all she’s been through she shows a lot of resilience. Caleb has been scorned but has and shows a lot of redeeming qualities. He is still keeping too many secrets from Margo though. I know he thinks she can’t handle them but sometimes you just have to rip the bandaid off.
I still don’t think at this point Margo is on the right track with “Unknown”. After all she has been through in her life I want her to be double cautious of those she trusts and lets in.
Relistening to this reminded me there are MULTIPLE CLIFFHANGERS! Like ummmm excuse me S Massery, but what are you doing to us?!?!
I can’t wait to finish this series out on audible!
OMFG WHAT THE FUCK HAPPENED IN THIS BOOKKK S. Massery is coming to be on my top fav authors list just love how her mind works. She writes such amazing characters and such a mysterious spicy story.
For what seems like a long time I loved a Heroine when she was sassy and feisty. *Don’t judge* Because when heroine tries to be sassy or anything I mostly get annoyed by that but gosh how much I loved Margo in this book and How she was SO NOT EASILY GOING TO FORGIVE CALEB.
And Yup she was able to bring Caleb to his knees and I loved how the whole story is playing out so so ready to dive into book 3.
I love how Margo relationship develops with Robert and Len but also it was disheartening how they ignore her and I hated some of the things Riley Did in the book like I was so so irritated with her how she got selfish at points in the book and always leaves Margo alone.
And FOR FS I have my share of guess like who could be UNKNOWN and it is giving me certain vibes when I was reading it hehe.
But I want to know WTF IS UNKNOWN??? But I hate spoilers
THE CLIFFHANGER JUST GOT ME AGAINNNNN.
After a gutting cliffhanger, this book starts off with a lot of fire and alpha from the hero, Caleb, and a badass attitude from the heroine, Margo. While I love the sexual tension and power play between the two main characters, it was nice to see the hero work for the heroine’s affection.
There is more character development and activity involving the side characters, Eli and Riley, Liam, and Theo (my favorite). We also see some dynamics in the women friends and faux friends / relationships with the heroine. Margo is now more confident, asserting herself with the hero, and we see their relationship evolve.
There is still mystery in the book, along with the newfound confidence from Margo and steam. We still don’t know all the facts, the history of Margo and Caleb, the cause of his antipathy. Events are excitedly, “suspensefully” unfolding.
This book was a 3.5/4 star read for me because the pace was too slow and more ground should have been covered at the expense of over description. It was still a good story, great characters. I can’t wait to learn more about the dark Theo.
Wicked Games continues Caleb and Margot’s story following on from the cliff-hanger of Book 1. Wicked Games is full of twists and turns, some secrets begin to unfold while others become more complex. For the first half of the book Caleb and Margot’s relationship is much the same as the first book, however Margot isn’t blinded by Caleb’s charm and the chemistry between them now. Wicked Games shows great character growth from Margot from a sheep to a Wolf(e) and I loved that Caleb’s actions and secrets have given her the confidence to stand up for herself and try to find the answers so is missing.
As the Audiobook progressed I found myself trying to figure out the twists and turns that S. Massery throws our way, but needless to say I only ended up with more questions. I loved the relationship that develops between Margot, Lenora and Robert (her foster parents) they love Margot and I found the fact that she has a positive parental relationship in her life for once, very uplifting.
As for Caleb from the Man he is at the start of the book to the one he is at the end of this book is captivating. As he begins to piece things together too he shows a softness towards Margot, surprising himself he begins to care. Of course the novel ends on another cliff-hanger and I am ready to get stuck straight into book 3.
This is the second book in the Fallen Royals Seres, a Dark High School Bully Romance. I love this Series! Margo and Caleb’s story continues where the first book left off. The story is intricate, and captivating, filled with twists and turns, and suspense. I am looking forward to listen to the next book in the Series, Wicked Promises! Once again, Stephanie Rose and Troy Duran did an outstanding job with the narration.
Wicked Games is hot and full of surprises! Wicked Games is the second book in the Fallen Royals series. S. Massery did a fantastic job continuing the story of Caleb and Margo. I went back and forth from listening to the audiobook and reading. Love audiobooks but I also like to read so went back and forth. Love how you can do that and not have to search for your spot you left off on as both the Kindle app and Audible work together. Ok, back to the book… Darn, I want to say so much but I don’t want to spoil anything for any future reader. If you are in the fence then take the leap. The whole Fallen Royal series is a series that tell all about the “adventures“ that Caleb and Margo go through trying to find out the truth to the event that changed their lives. They both have memories that didn’t make sense back then but now that they are thinking about it more questions pop up and as it was said several times in the book “at least you are asking the right question” . Margo had blocked out her memories of that time and is slowly getting more and more back. The chemistry and the heat level of Caleb and Margo is seriously hot. S. Massery brings out so much emotions and food for thought while still keeping me engrossed to the point where I don’t want to put the book down. Let me say that this series just keeps getting better and better. Some series will stall and have more of the same but S. Massery did not do that with Wicked Games. Warning there is some triggers and also the end has a doozy of a cliffhanger. Highly recommend Wicked Games. Also, after reading this book I am going to be checking out more of S. Mastery’s books and hope you will too. Luck for me, I found this series where four of the books in this series is out already. Although, looking at release date of book 5 is not making me happy is we will have to wait for a year before Book 5 is released .
Narrators did a wonderful job with their voices for the multiple characters. The narrators grabbed my attention from the first page to the last. They, also, interjected emotions for each character and how they feel.
Wicked Games
A Dark High School Bully Romance (Fallen Royals, Book 2)
By: S. Massery
Narrated by: Stephanie Rose, Troy Duran
S Massery has me totally hooked on this series. I can’t get enough, and I can’t wait until the conclusion of this trilogy is out! It’s not a standalone, so if you haven’t listened to book 1, go grab it! We pick up with Caleb and Margo and their very dysfunctional relationship. There is so much history between them, their families and what is showing as their future, that it’s impossible to even think about separating them. Each scene leads to more suspense, more twists and turns and Massery is a master at keeping us on the edge. And then there is the curiosity of whether to love or hate Caleb! I definitely love him, but sometimes it is just too easy to hate him. He has a mean streak a mile long! And Margo has strength like no other. She is amazing. Add in her foster parents, the mean girls in school, the upcoming plans and the cliffhanger, and I am patiently awaiting the next book! Smartly written, with an incredible plot, Massery has a winning series on her hands.
Narrated by Troy Duran and Stephanie Rose, we continue with the voices we know as Caleb and Margo. I love keeping consistency and these two are professionals. Each character is easy to remember from book to book and their voices compliment each other. I am enjoying this dual narration and can’t wait for book 3!

I listened to the first book on audio, there was no way in hell I could wait for the next audio to find out what happens next. I immediately had to get the 2nd and 3rd book. oh there is so much going on in this story. Betrayals, lies, secrets, revenge, twists and turns, hot sex, and so many I didn’t see that coming moments. Oh and let me tell you there’s another mind blowing cliffhanger. S. Massery is a terrific writer, There’s so much more complexity, and depth to the characters. now to book 3.
So much better than the first!!! although i loved wicked dreams i still felt that something was missing but was totally compensated in this book.
First of all, Margo is amazing, I loved her in this book so much. Here she begins to finally rescue who she really is and begins to show that she is not the poor sheep that everyone thinks she is. I just loved the way Margo dealt with Caleb and the situation between them, I’ve read a lot of books like that and they usually follow a pattern about how the girl acts after the plot, that pattern that always irritates me, but fortunately Margo doesn’t acted not at all like that. She is so strong and brave, I love her so much, after this book she certainly became one of my favorite characters.
And Caleb managed to win me over again even though I swore I would hate him forever. In this book we know a little more about him and we have a bigger view on what his life is like and I couldn’t keep hating him after knowing him more deeply
This book was also so emotional I found myself crying just with simple conversations, especially between Margo and her adoptive family, they are just incredible. Robert and Lenora won me over so much, it was amazing to see their relationship develop with Margo, especially Robert because he is a little more affectionate, I love them.
And as always this book ends with a shocking turnaround and I have to say Sara outdoes herself. Although some questions were answered I was even more confused lol The whole mystery surrounding this series is so exciting that I’m going crazy trying to unravel everything. I need answers to questions like, who is Unknown? what happened in the past? and so many others, I will devour Wicked Promises.

Still captivating but..
I really enjoyed this don’t get me wrong. I was still so invested in this story and I really can’t to see how Caleb and Margo pan out, but some of the decisions Margo be making in this book…girl. I do not concur. Be that as it may, I’m still trash for this series. Fast trash be me.
I requested a copy of this book from Give Me Books PR and the author for review and my opinion is my own and hasn’t been influenced.
Disclaimer: I received an Advance Reader Copy at no cost from the publisher/author. All opinions in my review are my own.
Well, the secrets just keep on coming in this second installment of the Fallen Royals series. And that cliffhanger! The author really must be trying to kill me.
I have totally fallen in love with this author’s writing style. She pulls you into the story effortlessly. I love that I never know what to expect. She keeps pulling shocking plot twists out of the woodwork like it’s nothing. Her narration is so smooth and inviting that I fall right into it like it’s the comfiest bed known to man.
I loved the character development for both Margo and Caleb in this book. Margo’s evolution was such a delight. She finally finds her confidence and sticks up for herself. She vows to not let anyone break her. Caleb’s change was in a different way. His hatred was strong at the start of the book but he succumbs to his other feelings for Margo eventually. We get to learn more about their pasts even though there is still a lot we don’t know. I liked the glimpses that we got into the secondary characters along the way.
The romance really takes a turn in this book. After what happened at the end of the first book, Margo is determined to hate Caleb just as much as he hates her. Their convoluted past is full of both good and bad so it’s hard for them to pinpoint their true feelings for each other. There is a lot of back and forth between them before they realize that they care more about each other than they thought. There are still secrets between them but they finally find some harmony between them. Their chemistry is still on fire. Their connection is so heated and raw and full of so many emotions that can only come from knowing someone so intimately for so long.
Overall, this is a suspenseful series that will leave you mindfucked. This story will get under your skin and you will get addicted to the angst and the raw emotion in the story. The mystery and suspense will keep you on your toes. This book was absolutely brilliant and I can’t wait to see the conclusion in Wicked Promises.
This is book 2 in the series and book 1 needs to be read first.
Margo Wolfe has grown up in foster care since her mom disappeared and her father went to jail on drug charges. She believes she has finally found the home she wants to be in when everything is sabotaged by Caleb Asher.
Caleb Asher hates Margo and wants to ruin her life after she ruined his. Unfortunately Caleb is also attracted to Margo and doesn’t want to see her with anyone but him and he knows he is playing a dangerous game.
As Margo tries to figure out why Caleb hates her so much she is beginning to remember events from the past. Will they help her figure out what she has been blocking out for so many years?
Caleb is also walking a fine line and must contend with his Uncle David who has his own agenda and wants Caleb to be more under his control.
Can Margo discover the truth before it’s too late?
This was such a great book and I loved it from start to finish and I can’t wait to see what happens next!!
I love Margo and I hate how she has no memories of what happened in the past and can’t figure out why Caleb hates her so much. She is constantly used by everyone, except Riley, and struggles to figure out who is friend or foe. I liked that Margo was stronger in this book and began investigating her own past with Riley’s help.
Caleb is one of the biggest jerks in the world yet he also has this other side that shows how much he really cares about Margo. Caleb is stuck in between trying to figure everything out for himself and really struggles with what is expected of him and what he wants. I had some guesses to what happened to make him bitter and I was on the right track but I also know that there is information we are missing that will fill in the puzzle pieces.
Caleb’s Uncle David was the most vile and cruel person and it is no wonder that Caleb has issues.
Through the book Margo is still receiving messages from Unknown and I have a couple of guesses but I feel like it’s going to be someone under our nose and everything will make sense yet still be a surprise.
I was so proud of Margo at the end of the book for going where she needed to and it filled in some of the pieces. I was excited for her to get a chance to go back.
The end was so jaw-dropping and I have a huge guess on who is behind it as I think that is the same one tied into her dad as well!!
Can’t wait for the next book!
By Rebecca
I swear this series just keeps getting better and better! This literally had my mind wondering who is unknown and why are bent on destroying Caleb and Margo..
In this book, Margo is in charge. She wants to give Caleb some payback. We also see a different side to Caleb in this one as well. There’s some dark issues in his family and they are controlling him. It was nice to see him finally stand up but I feel there’s going to be some setbacks because of it. Margo, on the hand, is trying to make sense of everything she heard and hiding from Caleb. As you expect especially if you’ve read book 1, you know this is hard for her to do. He always seems to find her and is always sneaking into her room. This one packs a punch and makes you crave for more! I am seriously hooked on this series and am desperately waiting on book 3!!! This series of books will keep you up at night and have your mind wondering just like mine. You will have theories and I have this feeling that no matter what you decide, it will something totally different lol. I absolutely loved this book and it may sound weird but the characters as well. Yes they are dark and disturbed but they are lovable in their own way..granted not all of them.. Just a few of them
Fallen Royals is definitely one epic series! WOW!
I loved Wicked Dreams but Wicked Games took it to a whole other level!
Margo and Caleb’s relationship gives me whiplash. As hot as it is, It is all over the place and a complete clusterf**k. But I guess that is what makes them so perfectly suited. Not to mention, they still have so many secrets between them. But boy are they hot. Holy! Those steamy scenes.. wow… (fans self). Temps rise!
This book is seriously addictive. So many mind games, secrets, lies, twists and turns. And of course another killer cliffhanger!!!! Not only am I dying for answers to the many questions you are left with, but I am also really wanting to know more about Theo and Eli. ITS ALL TOO MUCH!!!!!!!
If you haven’t read Wicked Dreams yet, stop what you are doing and get started now! You will not be disappointed.
So many suspicions. So many theories. So many questions!!!!! I think we all need book 3 asap!!!
Another solid 4.5 WTF stars.
I’m still frustrated, because even though I knew this was also going to be a cliffhanger ending, I desperately want the next one (yes, there’s a trend here)!
This is a bully romance, hate to love-ish, lots of ugly history and the hero is NOT a hero. The author has a way of getting you to empathize with him no matter what he’s done which is astounding.
I just want all the ANSWERS! Margot is not a shrinking violet and I’m ready for the conclusion to this twisted story.
5 STARS
The second book in the Fallen Royals was just as captivating as the first! The continuation of Caleb and Margo’s story is enlightening and we begin to see more into their past. This book is an EPIC read as is the first, and now I can’t wait for the next. Wicked Games by S. Massery will join the ranks of the BIBLIO-ARISTOCRACY!!!
