Clover and Van Gogh (V) are two strong, enchanting characters that stole my heart, both vulnerable and courageous, both shy and daring, both immensely sexual and playful. They were easily related and drew me in and refused to let go until I had read every part of their story, some of which was sweet, some was so hot that flames were pouring from the pages and some was heart breaking, so the story made me feel a whole lot of different emotions throughout the story including some chuckles. Not many romances show the male heroine as vulnerable as this romance does and I it was also very realistic with the situations and events that took place, especially how someone not used to attention and suddenly getting it might react and behave.
Tina Donahue always brings her wonderful characters and delightful world to vivid life, so visiting with the characters of Wicked Brand is always a treat, but I might just have to say that Wicked Design is my favorite of the series. And let me tell you that I could definitely picture the ink, that V wore and the jewelry that Clover made, so I am wondering if cuffs like Clover Cuffs really exist.
I had not read the previous books in this series, but I had no problem getting into the story at all. This one can be read as a stand alone with no problem at all.
The book was HOT & STEAMY! It was also well-written with great characters. It had drama and emotion and wonderful romance. Did I mention that it was hot and steamy? Deliciously so! Loved the book! I’m going to be reading more from this author.
Wicked Design by Tina Donahue is the story of Clover and Van Gogh (V) and also a part of the Wicked Brand series. Although you can easily make this a standalone book I do feel it helps to read the previous books first.
Clover has feelings for Van Gogh but she feels that he doesn’t even know that she is around. But really Van Gogh is just not confident enough to act on the feels he is having for her…because he does know she alive. When they do end up having a hot encounter it leads to more hot encounters but while doing all the hot and heavy stuff they have to stop and start to really learn more about the other person.
Overall I really enjoyed this book and seeing how their story came to be.
Great Hot Read!
I’m on the fence with this one. It’s part of series and I had no trouble following along. It started off okay for me, but then it started to go down hill. I pushed through to the end just to see how it ended. I liked the tats and jewelry parts, but everything else was kinda meh.

Wicked Design by Tina Donahue is part of the Wicked Brandseries and I’m definitely intrigued. The books are standalone, but the characters are fun and a good blend of kink and “normal” to be very relatable.
Clover Dasleigh is a strong, independent woman trying to get her jewelry business off the ground, while also trying to get the attention of Van Gogh. Van Gogh is “the hottest guy she’d ever seen” and he just doesn’t know that she exists. What Clover doesn’t know is that Van Gogh not only knows she exists, but he is just as captivated as she is. Van Gogh is a tattooist at Wicked Brand, whose real passion is painting. He’s just too shy and insecure to speak to the gorgeous woman who inspires his art. Who is going to make the first move and get this romance going?
Clover and Van Gogh fall into a hot and heavy romance quickly and then have to deal with the realities of actually learning about each other. Can their passion sustain them when real life, ambitions, and past insecurities clash with the present?
Wicked Design is fast-paced and hot. It felt a bit rushed when Clover and Van Gogh get together and maybe a little forced for them to discover their mutual kink. A little more of the storytelling from later in the story at the beginning would’ve made their “coupling” a bit more realistic.
