The Lucky Penny Ranch Series: Wild Cowboy Ways Hot Cowboy Nights Merry Cowboy Christmas Wicked Cowboy Charm more
If you love hot cowboy romances, then you will love the Lucky Penny Ranch series. Hot cowboys and strong women! Carolyn Brown gives the readers stories with characters that you get to know and feel as if they are your friends. I loved this series!
Wicked Cowboy Charm by Carolyn Brown is book number four in the Lucky Penny Ranch series. This is Deke and Josie’s story. Yay! Deke gets his story!
Deke has never had a relationship. He only does one-night stands. Deke really wants a family like his friends but hasn’t found that one yet. Well, that is until he meets Josie. I thinks Deke has met his match with her. I loved Deke and Josie’s characters. Boy, Josie was one tough cowgirl!
Deke and Josie end up stranded in a blizzard in a one room bunkhouse. Boy, you could feel the sexual tension between them. It was fun watching them develop a real relationship.
FYI, includes mature content. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
If you’re down and out or just need a change of pace, Carolyn Brown is the author for you. Her stories make me laugh and sigh. Loved these characters and the plot of this book. Can’t wait to read more of her tales.
I have loved the Lucky Penny Ranch series since book 1. The first 3 books in the series I loved, but this one just didn’t do it for me. I had been looking forward to Deke’s book and it makes me sad that I didn’t really care for this one. I really like Carolyn Brown’s writing style and I loved the first 3 couples but I felt nothing for Deke and Josie. I didn’t connect to them individually and I didn’t feel their relationship. It just fell flat. On top of that the book crawled for me. Deke and Josie didn’t really have anything going on until the 69% of the book. The pace was way too slow for me and I found myself getting bored. Now that being said the book wasn’t bad and I didn’t hate it. I just didn’t get into it. I still love Carolyn Brown and I can’t wait to try the spin off series!
Wicked Cowboy Charm is book four in the Lucky Penny Ranch Series and it’s the last story where we finally get Deke Sullivan’s story. This book interconnects with the others but it’s still a stand alone and it doesn’t have to be read in numerical order. The characters are wonderful, the plot is life-like and the dialogue is humorous. You won’t be disappointed in the Family, Religion and HEA.
Josie Dawson has come to Dry Creek, Texas, to find out whether her brother, Jud has oil on his ranch. She has heard all the rumors on the town playboy, Deke Sullivan, but she had no idea that he would be so smoking hot. She’s determined to keep her distance and won’t be the next in line to fall for his sweet, charming, sexy ways. Even though seeing that he is great with babies and tasting his hot chocolate, melts her insides, she will stand strong.
Deke Sullivan may enjoy women and partying on weekends but one look at Josie and he may decide to become a one woman man. He’s done a lot of looking and playing and there is just something about Josie that he refuses to let slip away. When they are stranded in Montana during a blizzard and have to stay in a tiny cabin, they talk partnership. Deke sets out to convince Josie that they have what it takes to be more than partners and make two hearts one….
Love all of Carolyn Browns books
Deke Sullivan’s reputation with the ladies precedes him, he didn’t intend to earn the reputation, but in his quest to find Miss Right, he dated a lot of Miss Wrong’s, and left a trail of broken hearts behind him. But this time he thinks he has finally found the right one, problem is she wants nothing to do with him, so maybe he’ll just have to kick his cowboy charm up a notch, and see if he can win a date… and her heart too if he’s lucky!
The minute Josie Dawson sets her sights on Deke Sullivan she knows that if she isn’t careful her heart could be in serious trouble, the man is drop dead gorgeous, loaded with southern charm, and dead set on winning her over. So, she decides the best way to keep her heart intact is to avoid him at all costs, but no matter how hard she tries he always seems to find a way to put himself in her path. And before long she feels her resistance to his charms start to falter…and the shell around her heart start to crack!
It has been a while since I have had the pleasure of diving into one of Ms. Brown’s stories, and I have to say it didn’t take long for me to remember why I enjoy them so much, she has this special way of creating these characters that charm their way into your heart and stay with you long after the last page is turned. I love a good romantic western story that has a strong alpha cowboy, equipped with a gentle spirit and kind heart, at the helm and Deke fit the bill perfectly! He is the kind of cowboy ladies dream of finding, and one of those characters that are hard to forget! I absolutely loved every minute I spent with these two, they had me smiling the whole way through!! Definitely one of my favorites from Ms. Brown to date, highly recommend you give it a try!
