I’ll admit: I like a bit of taboo here and there. And ever since I read K. Webster’s Schooled by a Senior, student/teacher (as long as all parties are consenting and of legal age) has been a go to of mine. So even though I had never heard of R.L. Kenderson, I was totally on board to review Passing Grade when I read the blurb – and I’m glad I did. It’s a quick and sexy and (low-key) sweet ditty, that touched on a lot more than I expected. Our heroine, Eden, had a (non-trigger warning necessary) traumatizing experience when she was in high school that added to her pre-existing struggles with body image and self acceptance. Mace/Mason is an intelligent jock with a preference for junk in the trunk (and mature women). I call that a match made in heaven. The issues that they faced were realistic, particularly her reticence in regards to the whole thing. The book is told in first person POV from her standpoint and I think I would have enjoyed it even more if we had gotten a glimpse into his mind. I really did like the flow and pacing of the book, so I’ll definitely be looking out for more chances to read more from this new-to-me author duo. 3 out of 5 wine glasses.

A TABOO STORY TO PULL YOUR HEARTSTRINGS
I received this book for free and am giving my honest and voluntary review
Eden, a heavily hipped woman, goes to Texas to teach with her best friend, Becca. At her first football game, she falls in lust with whom she believes is the assistant coach and the man of her dreams. The person happens to be, Mason, the assistant coach’s cousin and her student. The relationship grows and even though it was taboo, she couldn’t end it. Things progress and eventually, she runs away. The book is written to keep the reader immersed in the story’s dynamics.

This was a good book. I was really into the story. Am not really big on younger men and older women, but this book is an exception. Plus they were not too far off anyway. I really liked this. I enjoyed reading it. It was a fun read.

Mace might be a teenager but he’s also a man that knows what he wants and his sights are set on his chemistry teacher, Eden. This book captured me from page one when Eden mistakenly thinks he is the assistant football coach. She manages to resist him for a while but can’t hold out against his dominating personality and unwavering pursuit. I like Eden a lot but Mace is sex personified. He’s hot, he’s intense, and he’s a dirty talking dream. This forbidden romance kept me up all night because I couldn’t put it down. I loved this hot, sexy love story. 4.5 stars.

When Eden first sees Mace he is on the sidelines of the football field. Think he is a coach or something, she keeps eyeing him and he notices her so their connection is made. Only later does she realize Mace is a student! Yikes! But the attraction is still there and both realize they may not be able to fight it. But Eden has some issues from past relationships but Mace is absolutely the best. While he is 18 and still a student, he is much more mature than a typical 18 year old. He actually makes his own decisions and knows what he wants – which is Eden. Can these two make it even though a relationship is forbidden. My only problem (and it is my problem) was I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop. As in, when are they going to get caught or when will the crap hit the fan. Therefore this book had my nerves on edge.

This one was a good read. Eden always wanted to be a teacher. With the help of her friends she finally is a high school teacher. When she first see Mace she thinks he’s an assistant coach but it turns out he’s a student. She twenty five and Mace is eighteen. Even though Mace is younger than Eden, at some points Mace acted more mature then Eden. Mace is sexy and confident. He’s her student but there wasn’t any creepiness and the story flowed perfectly.

Eden is curious to see the assistant coach everyone is talking about. However all that curiosity ends once she learns that he is a student in her class. Mace isn’t about to let Eden being his teacher stop him from getting what he wants. And all he wants is her and he is determined to convince to see things his way. Eden knows that anything to do with Mace would jeopardize her new start in Texas and tries to stay away from him. Mace knows that she wants him and he is going to prove to her that they will work. What will happen when others learn about them?
This is a steamy story that will have you on the edge of your seat wondering what will happen next. The chemistry between them is off the charts hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend it to any book lover.

Quite possibly my new favorite R.L. Kenderson story! They manage to create some pretty great characters and stories, and this one had me hooked from the start and I pretty much read it in one sitting (minus the break to get some all-the-way unhealthy snacks). I love a good forbidden love story, and what’s better than the student/teacher romance? Only this time Eden is the teacher and the assistant football coach (or is he?) The character development was spot-on and believable; especially Eden’s thoughts about how hot guys like Mason don’t go for the women who look like her physically. I loved that Mason isn’t a d-bag and is really into Eden and wants to be with her, like for real, not just as a notch on his bedpost.

Eden is a first time teacher at a Texas high school. She meets a hot guy at a football game that she assumes is the assistant football coach. Mace is the all American guy, football player and hunk that all the girls want to date. He is also Eden’s student and she tries to fight the attraction for him. This was a hot story and I recommend it.

So I’ll admit, I only read this book because of the author. I’m not a big fan of student-teacher romances.
It turned out, however, to be pretty good. The characters were likable, the story line was believable, and the love scenes were hot.
I not only liked it, but would be willing to read it again (and that’s high praise).

I didn’t like the setting. I wish it was college at least. However, the author is a very good storyteller. She makes the reader interested in turning the pages. Even with my reservations, I find Mace’s and Eden’s feelings heartfelt. Their characters sounds genuine down to Mace’s sometimes crude comments which demonstrates his youth. Eden’s questionable decisions can be construed as that of a typical twenty-something. Their attraction resulted in several steamy sex scenes. The plot is easy to follow and you know something is going to happen that will end their happiness but by then, you’ll be invested in their HEA. I’m glad the author didn’t turn it into a gut-wrenching drama before the conflict gets resolved. I also love the epilogue. As I’ve said, RL Kenderson is a good storyteller.
