Bridger Payne is an enigma that no one can figure out. Wise beyond his years, eerily intuitive and sexy as hell, every woman in The Silo wants him.None can have him.Not the real man, anyway. He might wield the lash for you if you ask prettily, but he’ll get no gratification from it. He’ll definitely make you scream, but he won’t think twice about you when he walks away.Bridger carries the darkest … away.
Bridger carries the darkest of secrets. He’s filled with too much pain.
He’s utterly untouchable.
Until she came along.

Wicked Bond was the fifth book in the Wicked Horse series by Sawyer Bennett. It was well written, well developed and an enjoyable read.
I’ve been looking forward to Bridger Payne’s story from the first book. He was mysterious, dark, cold, unemotional, dark, loyal to friends and wise; yet we really knew nothing about him….until now. I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know his story; although it was painful and heartbreaking at times.
Magdalene “Maggie” Waylon was smart and beautiful, but troubled as a result of a string of poor decisions. She met Bridger after she had been badly beaten and tortured. She was truly broken, yet she had an underlying strength that wouldn’t die.
Wicked Bond was a journey of facing past struggles, acceptance, healing, and moving forward for both Bridger and Maggie. Bennett also included a secondary story that added depth, dimension and suspense to the main storyline.
This is not a safe book for some. There was no cheating with the main characters but it was dark. At times it was difficult to read, but once the stage was set, the darkness was primarily a past reference with the building of a bright future.
I thoroughly loved Wicked Bond and felt it was a great close to the series…..unless of course Bennet chooses to continue it with Ted’s story. In the meantime, Bennett has graced us with a spin off series, The Wicked Horse Vegas with Wicked Favor as the first book in the series.
Hmm. Yeah. I couldn’t get over the fact that the woman had a kid during all the violence and intense sex with some stranger so soon after being beaten, to near death, after having been a sex slave to some kink monster. It was all a little too much for me.
Not my favorite of the series but still a good read.
I’ve read several books in this series; the first few books had strong, definite story lines and the characters flowed with the story. A few of the books fell flat and a bit rushed. This book seemed to get back on track. I liked the characters, there was a good blend of story line and character development.
So different from Sawyer Bennet’s hockey stories! I loved it. A broken man “fixed” by the love of a good woman.
Awesome & steamy
loved it
I loved this whole series!
Love this author and this series!!
Great characters! Continuation to the series but not needed to read other books first.
Awesome book!
Romantic perhaps not in the traditional sense but there throughout. Believable character strengths & weaknesses. Perhaps not for a Victorian mindset.
I wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t great either. I go tired of the drama and after the first sex scene they got repetitive. This was not as good as other books in the series IMHO. It’s unfortunate as I really wanted to know more about Bridger who was such a badass in the previous books but not so much in this one which was puzzling.
One of my favorite Sawyer Bennett books. I really enjoyed this series and this book was hot hot hot!
Love this series. I have a few more from this series to read, but this one was intense. Lots of emotions.
I expected this book to go one way and it went completely left… in a good way. If this was adapted into a movie, I’d watch it multiple times a day. That’s how good it is
Great read
Well, it’s the first book I read by this author and I’m going to read the rest of the series as well. Very intense story that keeps you glued to your device.
Super hot!
I loved this book! I feel that I was so invested in the character of Bridger after reading about him in the four previous books, that I was very ready to learn more about his past and to hopefully see him have a romance of his own in this book. This book had me happy, sad, crying, joyous, and had me yelling at the characters, and it was my favorite of all of The Wicked Horse books. It was a great way to end the series!
