In the newest Night Rebel novel, set in New York Times bestselling author Jeaniene Frost’s Night Huntress world, beautiful, daring vampire Veritas risks all to protect Ian… to break every rule by secretly hunting down the dark souls that were freed in order to save Ian. But the risks are high. For if she gets caught, she could lose her job. And catching the sinister creatures might cost Veritas her own life.
Some vows are forever…
Ian’s memories might be fragmented, but this master vampire isn’t about to be left behind by the woman who entranced him, bound herself to him, and then disappeared. So what if demons, other Law Guardians, and dangerous, otherworldly forces stand against them? Come hell or high water, Ian intends to remind Veritas of the burning passion between them, because she is the only person seared on his mind—and his soul…

Having more of Ian could only be a good thing. This vampire/bad boy has been around for many years. He has shown us the good and bad of him. He has even showed that there was still a heart beating in there somewhere. Not many could or would see this side of him but he has found something that he never dreamed he would ever have. He found a purpose.
Since the first book of this series we get to see more of Veritas. She was something fierce in the NightHuntress series and world. She explodes in to her own special something now that we get an even closer look at her with Ian
Love this author! Read everything she’s written.
Wicked Bite is book two in the Night Rebel series & I thoroughly enjoyed it!! Ian & Veritas/Ariel’s story continues with Ian getting his memory back and him looking for Veritas to get her back. This book was funny, entertaining & action packed while introducing some new characters that I hope we get to see in the next book. Just when you think Ian & Veritas are going to get their HEA after sorting their relationship out & taking out a couple of their enemies think again hence the third book coming out (soon hopefully)! Loved this book & can’t wait for the next one, you won’t be disappointed.
Try it… but I suggest you read the previous books first
LOVED this installment and following the adventures of Veritas and Ian! We learn so much more about Veritas’s heritage and family, catch up with some series favorites, and see more of that noble side of Ian normally kept hidden away by the vampire king of debauchery. Looking forward to more, especially when a character we’ve never seen but long wondered about turns up in the most unexpected place!
After the cliffhanger in book one, I couldn’t wait to read this one to see how the whole heroes and villains conflict was resolved. I wasn’t disappointed.
Veritas thinks that she is home free to make good on her promise, but little does she know that Ian isn’t about to give up on his own quest. So, when he finally faces her again, he is determined to get to the bottom of what previously happened. He is ruthless in his efforts while Veritas tries to keep him in the dark.
This book is a page turner with all its mysteries and surprises. It’s nicely paced and the adventures are action packed. Their interactions are sometimes funny and sometimes frustrating with all the secrets. I thought that this second book wraps up their story, but they find themselves facing a new challenge at the end. I can’t wait to see what’s in store.
I thoroughly enjoyed this second installment, and now have to patiently await for the next installment.
Wicked Bite by Jeaniene Frost is book Two in the A Night Rebel Series. This continues the story of Veritas and Ian, so you really should read the previous book ‘Shades of Wicked’ first. This book picks up where we left off in the last one. Veritas had saved Ian from the demon, Dagon but now she is out to hunt Dagon down to keep Ian protected. Ian knows something is missing although he can’t remember what/who but he can’t rest until he finds it. Of course Ian ends back with Veritas where they both go forward to take down the demon. This book does end with a soft cliffhanger story line to set us up for the next installment. Can’t wait…this is a page turner of a series.
I loved this book! It is no secret that I adore the entire Night Huntress universe. Ian has always been a great character and I was thrilled when I learned about this spin-off series featuring his character. I loved the first book in the Night Rebel series, Shades of Wicked, and couldn’t wait to get my hands on this newest book. Let’s just say that I went into this book with sky-high expectations and I wasn’t disappointed. This book was just as good as I had hoped it would be.
This is the second book in the Night Rebel series which I would recommend reading in order. This book picks up shortly after the events of the previous book. Ian and Veritas are not together. Ian shouldn’t remember any of their time together and Veritas is committed to finding all the souls that were freed in order to save Ian. There is one big problem. Ian doesn’t want to forget Veritas or let her go.
I love Ian and Veritas. I was a bit frustrated with Veritas at the start of this book because I just wanted to see Ian and Veritas together and she was making things difficult. It all works out though because Ian rises to the challenge. I thought that their personalities really shined in this book and their feelings for each other made my heart happy. I think that I liked each of these characters a bit more with every page. They are both smart, tough, and willing to take risks.
I thought that the story was really exciting. Even though I feel like I know this world really well, I love that there were a few surprises in store in this book. There was plenty of action and there were times that I didn’t know how things would work out. It really seemed like they were outmatched at times and it was great to see Ian and Vertias rise to the challenge.
I would highly recommend this book to others. I had a fantastic time with this book and loved that it was everything I hoped it would be. I cannot wait to read more of this amazing series!
I received a digital review copy of this book from HarperCollins – Avon Books via Edelweiss.
