If you love the Dark Protectors, these wicked hot Realm Enforcers are for you! “Fast-paced romance . . . very compelling. Highly recommended.” —Library Journal As she hunts for a drug lord killing her fellow witches, all Nessa Lansa’s instincts point to the Grizzly motorcycle club. That might be because their leader, Bear, is the strong, silent shifter type: warm brown eyes and more muscle … shifter type: warm brown eyes and more muscle and alpha male than any woman can ignore. Which makes Nessa’s plan to seduce and betray him all the more dangerous . . .
Bear doesn’t trust the curvy, blue-eyed witch. But Nessa can heal the injuries that sap his strength. And since he can’t stop thinking of her lush body and teasing smile, her plan to mate him to reclaim her own power is highly tempting. Just one problem. Once a desire this wild is loose, no one will ever control it . . .

WICKED BITE by Rebecca Zanetti, book 5 of the Realm Enforcers.
Enemies-turned-to allies-to-lovers troupe involving a grouchy, domineering bear shifter and a ballsy witch who refuses to backdown, their not-so-slow burn including a bear’s love bite, follow by hot and wild animalistic mating. Who needs a boring courtship when there’s assassins shooting poisonous darts, snarling wolves and bears, more witches, betrayal, distrust to ensure their happily ever after?
The Realm Enforcers ends with a startling conclusion of the series. It is an enjoyable hard-to-put-down book from beginning to end. If you love Rebecca Zanetti’s Dark Protectors, you’ll fall in love with these wicked hot Realm Enforcers. Witches, lions, and bears, oh my!
Things have been coming to this moment through the whole Realm Enforcers series. Who is making and selling the drugs to kill off all the witch nation and why? And look at that, its Bear’s story, too. Can it get any better?
As I said, this is Bear’s story and is the fifth book in the Realm Enforcers series. The series has changed out romance leads with each book, but the characters are all connected as is the main mystery plot thread so it is best read in order. And if you are just coming to these, it works even better read after the conclusion of the Dark Protectors series since its a spin-off with some crossover characters.
But back to Bear… the loner, secretive and tough alpha shifter of the Bear Nation and head of the Grizzlies MC. Bear has been an intriguing side character since book one. Slowly his secrets have unwound throughout the series and now he encounters a female with a wild proposal and enough secrets to match and raise the ante on his own.
Nessa, too, is not a newbie to the series. She has acted as a Coven Nine Witch Council leader and now she is pursuing a person mission along with a secret mission for her people. I enjoyed how she had this straight up plan and confidently waltzed into Bear’s life to execute it only to discover that cool and collected and well planned she might be, but she was way out of her depth and had met her own match.
Up until this book, I had no idea who was behind the drug making and distribution that was killing off humans and witches alike. I guessed wrongly a few times. Wicked Bite finally foreshadowed enough that I caught on before Bear, Nessa, and everyone else- and it was a shocker.
The romance was set against an action packed story like most of this author’s books which I love. And I really loved this pairing. Bear has been a favorite character through the whole series so I really wanted a good match for him. Nessa and Bear had sparks. They both have secret pasts and keep to themselves in ways. Bear has always been the one to give and make sacrifices and now he has found a female who will give to him and notices his needs. Nessa has found a male who is not intimidated by her and accepts her as is.
I only had one niggle. I was not in favor of the physicality of their ‘courtship’. Most of their love scenes came with hand to hand combat instigated by Nessa like it was foreplay. I make allowances for the fact that these are paranormals, but the violence when you’re not in danger and only trying to prove your a big bad gal or that he was a shifter so liked it rough so you have to kick him in the head to get his attention didn’t quite do it for me.
That said, this book totally lived up to my expectations of Bear’s story and the answer to the big plot thread through the series. I’m not sure if this is the end of the series since the series arc wound up. I wouldn’t mind if it kept going with a new series arc and taking on some of the younger characters. But, either way, this was a good one and I definitely recommend it to paranormal romance fans who love a strong and passionate action plot.
4.5 stars
I’d really like to know if there’s anybody out there who read this series who doesn’t love Bear? I have been waiting (very impatiently) for his story. I really wanted to know his background and see him find his own HEA, especially after the last book when we get a peek behind the curtain. And while Nessa hasn’t been prominent in the whole series, she did snag my attention in the last story and I was hoping to see more of her. These two together are combustible.
Somehow, them not giving into to their sexual desires in the beginning is a million times hotter than if they would have fallen into bed together. And Nessa’s decision to put the brakes on her initial plans in regards to what she wanted from Bear were even hotter yet. The sweetness in that decision really made me love her even while I still wasn’t trusting her.
A lot has to happen in this story since it’s the last book in this series. Sure, it’s an off-shoot of the larger Dark Protectors series so there is a chance to see these characters again and for other smaller side stories to play out in another book. But the overall story of Apollo and the attack on the witches needs to be wrapped up in this book. So, as in the other books, there is a ton of action.
I had my suspicions here and there about who was behind the distribution of Apollo, as I’m sure is the case for most readers of this series. Those suspicions change and grow during this series and the twists and turns had me doubting myself and changing directions throughout. I loved it!
The humor this author always weaves throughout her stories is one of my favorite things. There’s a running joke throughout all of the books in the Dark Protector universe about how much King Dage Kayrs knows and how people are always shocked by the depth of his knowledge. It reaches some hilarious heights in this story, and then trickles over to Bear as the leader of the grizzly nation. So much fun infused in this bloody, intense, momentous story.
Once the villain is exposed, things move at the speed of light. Almost too fast for my brain to keep up with it all. It wasn’t sloppy, everything checks out. It was just a bit rushed so it was hard for me to enjoy the reveal in all its glory.
Overall, I adore this series. I cannot get enough of these supernatural beings and their families.

Nessa goes to bear territory to try to heal the damage Bear did to himself when he shifted into a dragon. She has her own agenda though, a mating. Unfortunately, someone is after Nessa and wants to kill her with Apollo. With each new attack Bear and Nessa grow closer and see they really are perfect for each other.
I loved this one!! (Thank goodness because I didn’t love the last one). I have wanted Bear to fall for someone since he was introduced and this book did not disappoint. Bear and Nessa go into this relationship with terms but those quickly get thrown out the window as they get to know each other. I loved Bear. He has been hiding a soft side from everyone. Nessa was such a badass and full of surprises. She could kickass and maneuver people exactly how she wanted them with just one conversation. These two were able to bring down the Apollo ring and save the witch nation and humans. These two are the perfect power couple and I can see them leading the future generations for years to come.
I’m glad this series went out strong with this book. There was betrayal, love, and a lot of ass kicking. Now that the Realm is safe from the threat of Apollo I wonder what will be next for the overall Dark Protectors world.
The final Bite is here and it’s wicked
The final story in this spin off series from the Dark Protectors featuring all our favourite characters is here and the fight against Apollo is almost at an end!
Nessa at the behest of Simone goes to Seattle in order to help Bear heal, especially after he helped save Simone when she was kidnapped by the dragons. Now she’s here and her plan isn’t going the way she wants or how she planned.
When Nessa suggests healing him in exchange for them mating, Bear knows there is more to the story! Bounty hunters are after her as well as someone else who wants her dead and finally the Apollo on the streets which is lethal to all witches. Action packed story, a mating of convenience that could be more and betrayals that you never saw coming until the last minute
I’m sorry to see this series end but I have to admit it was nice to catch up with some old favourites and find out more about Bear and Nessa
5 FREAKING AWESOME STARS!!!!!! Ms. Zanetti has done it again! I loved, loved, loved this story. I have been waiting for Bear’s story and man, this did not disappoint. Ms. Zanetti picked the perfect heroine, Nessa Lansa from the Council of the Coven Nine. I did not see that pairing, Lol. This is a breathtaking roller coaster ride from the very first page and the surprises just kept coming. Nessa is a healer witch unable to form fire, like the other witches in the realm. She comes up with this bright idea that if she can heal Bear,(because he is actually two forms and he really shouldn’t have changed into his other form, but he did to save his sister Simone, and ended up hurting himself on a physiological level) then he needs to mate with her. Bear was like, say what now? Lol. Bear doesn’t like witches because there are always hidden secrets, agendas and politics with them and boy was Nessa’s secret a HUGE ONE! I won’t spoil it. Suffice it to say, I did not see that one coming at all. Great Job, Ms. Zanetti. The action was riveting and I simply could not wait to get to the next page. I hated being interrupted and having to put the book down even once. It is that good! The sex was off the charts and the dominance that Bear showed to even attempt to get Nessa to submit was wonderfully sweet. He is a typical bear, named Bear, too cute, right? Lol. I just could not get enough of this story and all my favorites were back, Garrett, Logan, Simone and Nick (and I know the sex of the their baby, but I won’t tell, Lol), The Dunne brothers, and so much more. I have to admit one of my favorites parts is when King Dage Kayrs is speaking to a conference room of shifters and Nessa and people always wonder how he knows things. “The. King. Me. I’m the damn king.” Lol. Poor King Dage, every one seems surprised that he knows things…A Magnificent, Amazing, Wondrous Read!!!!!! Loved every single second of this story. I pray, really pray it is not the last, so many more characters need their story as well.

Holy hell, what can I say except Bear is HOT. Keeps you engaged from first to last page. Ms.Zanetti had me going through a range of emotions, laughter, tears, rage and happiness. We finally find out who is responsible for manufacturing the drug Apollo and why .Witches, shifters, demons, and humans thrown together to make a great book. Secrets, twist, turns, suspense, hot sexy moments, funny moments, lies and I can’t believe that happened. Loved having characters involved from other books in this series make appearances to wrap everything up.
Wicked Bite is the last book in The Realm Enforcers series, and it was a pretty good conclusion. Bear, the leader of the Bear shifters, and Nessa, a witch investigating the Grizzlies MC for apollo. As per the usual in this series, we have a bossy alpha male, and a female who won’t listen to said bossyness, I really liked Bear, he was strong, but had a sweet vulnerable side to him too. Nessa got to be a bit much at times, there is only so much defiance one can take before it gets old.
I liked the ending to the ongoing storyline. Without giving anything away, I wasn’t all that surprised when everything came together. A few familiar faces make an appearance to help out.
It definitely left me wanting more.
Yay Bear’s story! God I have loved me some big ol’ grumpy Bear. I was so excited to finally get Bear’s book and I loved every single minute of this read! Rebecca Zanetti is one of my top 5 favorite authors and she never fails me. I have loved every one of her books(that I have read) and I can’t get enough of the Realm. Whether it’s the Witches, Demons, Shifters, or the yummy Vampires(my favorites) I can’t get enough of this world. So anytime I get to set aside the troubles of everyday life and dive back into this world and lose myself that is a great day for me.
Bear was amazing! He was smart, sexy, and protective. This grumpy, antisocial loner bear had a lot of depth to him. He felt deeply. He was hurt in the past and didn’t feel like he fit in anyone’s world, so he made his own MC family. Raw and animalistic he was everything I could want in a shifter. Nessa was way more than met the eye. She came off all prim and a little snobby, but she could kick major butt! Nessa was very sweet and she was loyal to her few loved ones. Being a witch Nessa was keeping secrets and could be a master manipulator when the situation called for it. Brave and smart Nessa was the perfect mate for our Alpha bear.
Nessa and Bear together were wild. Nessa brought out the animal in him. She challenged him and pushed him to give her his all. Bear was so gruff antisocial, so when he fell hard for his little witch I totally melted! Wicked Bite was an action packed thrill ride filled with awesome cameo appearances from some of my Realm favorites. I got me some Dage and Emma, Garrett(mini Talen) and Logan time. I so love Garrett and I long for his book. There was no Talen which made me a bit sad. OMG the bad guy I didn’t see that one coming at all! I was totally shocked. Overall I truly just enjoyed this book so much.
I love this author’s books.
Wicked Bite is the 5th book in those bad-ass alpha boys also known as the Realm Enforcers, and this book is all about Bear. Even thou Bear ins’t actually a Realm Enforcer he’s been in all the books and he’s just as much a major player in this series as everyone else.
Bear is well a Bear shifter and head of the Grizzly motorcycle club. He’s an dominating Alpha male to the bone. He takes no crap, is grumpy one minute and lovable the next. Of course he is only lovable to a hand full of people one being his sister, whose a witch, and the other being another annoying witch named Nessa, who has gotten under his skin.
Tessa Lansa’s aka Nessa is a Coven Nine Witch Council leader on a mission. She is looking to find out who is behind the manufacturing of a drug called Apollo which is killing off her kind and all things point to Bear!
Tessa plans on Mating Bear to strengthen her powers, figuring out all his secrets and put an end to the death of her family and friends. Bear doesn’t trust the little witch anymore then he trusts any witch but he’s got problems of his own and needs her to heal him.
This is one action packed, seat of your pants, sexy, wow didn’t see that coming books that you just can’t put down. The Realm series is a continuation of the Dark Protectors series. If you loved the DP books you’re in for a treat since as always characters from that series play a part in this one as well. We finally get the answer we’ve been looking for since book one but hopefully not the end of Rebecca’s amazing paranormal world.
It was a fantastic conclusion to the series. I always liked Bear, and I’m happy that he got his own story.
These books are great fun to read!
