Getting fired and humiliated in front of everyone at my newly acquired secretarial job at Morgan Financial Holdings wasn’t how I’d seen my day going. And then chaos—or maybe luck—ensured. I was set up on a blind date, shocked that my former boss was giving me a month’s severance, and had the perfect interview lined up. Maybe things were looking up for me after all. And although finding a man …
And although finding a man should have been on the bottom of my to-to list, I couldn’t get Jason—the uber sexy blind date—out of my head. Sexy and confident—or maybe arrogant—he had me yearning for more with just a smoldering look and a smirk of his lips.
But when a night of drinking leads to getting in bed with him and having the wildest, most intense night of my life, I didn’t know if I should ask to see him again, or do the good old walk of shame.
And it’s when I walk into my interview the next day and come face-to-face with my prospective employer that the reality of my situation sinks in.
Because there, sitting across from me with that devilish smile on his face, that knowing expression of what we’d done the night before, is the one and only Jason, my supposedly one-night stand.
Looked like my humiliation wasn’t over just yet.

Wicked Bedmate is a part of Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward’s Cocky Hero Club World and is connected to Keeland and Ward’s Stuck-Up Suit.
Linda Morris is left humiliated, upset, and down after being let go from her secretarial job at Morgan Financial Holdings. Clears throat, by Graham Morgan, the stuck-up suit. Out of work, she throws herself into the job search and is unexpectedly setup on a blind date by her best friend with her best friend’s brother.
Enter Jason Shelby.
Jason is a Chief Financial Officer in the financial district at Baxter and Calvin. The very embodiment of the man who embarrassed Linda when he fired her. But beneath the crisp white shirt and tweed gray jacket, Linda is met with a man who is comfortable in a burger joint and just as charming and down-to-earth as he is confident and sophisticated.
Call it luck, but I call it fate. Linda becomes the new administrative assistant for Jason which gives this read a somewhat forbidden feel. Because of priorities Linda is apprehensive of a relationship, add in the man she was instantaneously drawn to becoming her new boss and Linda finds herself resisting Jason… But one can only resist for so long, especially when the one who is chasing is as persistant and driven as they come.
The beginning of this novel felt slow for me which I wasn’t expecting given the premise of said novel. However, once the heroine and hero meet the book takes on a fast-paced vibe. I loved Linda’s inner thoughts about Jason and how she secretly liked his chasing and possesiveness.
I couldn’t get enough of Jason Shelby! Jenika Snow has written an uber sweet yet utterly sexy novel that is filled with instant everything–attraction, chemistry, and love. And oh my heart that epilogue! Gah, what an addition to the Cocky Hero Club!!
Office romance at its hottest and best, you can almost feel and hear the sizzle between these two characters. The tension mounts through the first few chapters before it starts to snap with the force of attraction, I’m actually surprised either character managed any work. Great read and one I didn’t put down
A quick, but sizzling hot read! Linda and Jason meet on a blind date that neither will forget. There was an instant attraction between them, and a connection that felt like they already knew one another. I loved Jason’s alpha tendencies towards Linda. He knew she belonged with him and didn’t want any other guy near her. Linda thought he was crazy, and he was; crazy about her. Jenika Snow certainly knows how to steam up the pages to get you hooked, so you can’t put the book down.
Part of the Cocky Hero Club and I loved it. Each book in this club can be read as a standalone and are extensions of different stories written by Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward. Fun office romance between Linda and Jason and I really enjoyed it. Linda gets fired from her job so to help cheer her up, her best friend sets her up on a date with his boyfriend’s brother. Too much alcohol on the date is involved and they sleep together or do they? She has an interview in the morning so she leaves and when she gets there, Jason is the one interviewing her. The chemistry and attraction between them was so good. Are they able to get what they want in love and business? Great read and I can’t wait read more from this author and the other stories in the Cocky Hero Club series. Highly recommend.
I read an early review copy of this book and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
My very first book from Jenika Snow was short, steamy and sweet. And while insta-love isn’t really my jam, there was something really endearing about it in Wicked Bedmate.
I liked that even though Linda was down on her luck, she didn’t count herself out. With the encouragement and scheming of her best friend, she even went on a blind date. Enter Jason. Ohhhhhh Jason! He had his life together but when he met Linda, he was dumbstruck.
Their connection was instantaneous and even when the embarrassment floating around over how the evening ended, neither Jason or Linda could get the other out of their head. Call it luck, fate, divine intervention- whatever you want- but she stepped in and brought these two back into each others orbit. Cue the awkwardness and sexual tension. Both were off the charts.
I loved that despite the challenge it would present, Jason went full out for what he wanted, Linda. Even with her reservations, Jason laid it all out. He was straight forward, romantic and that dirty mouth…whew hot!
Wicked Bedmate gave me a great balance of humor and drama. For being a quick read, Linda and Jason’s office romance was well developed and had me wishing for more.
Linda is in a big rut. She lost her job, her interviews aren’t going very well and her best friend wants to set her up on a blind date with his boyfriend’s brother. Then things start going well. She enjoyed her date with Jason. A little too well. She wakes up in his room the next day after getting too drunk on their date and has to rush out because of another interview. Only she finds out that her interview is with Jason. She’s happy to finally have found a job, but sad that she has to cut Jason off in order to be professional. Jason doesn’t feel the same. He wants her and is willing to cross the line to have her. Loved these characters!
4.3 stars
I have read quite a few books from this author and was excited to read this one. Linda is having a really bad day when she winds up being unceremoniously fired from her job. Not knowing where she will find employment, her bestie decides that she should go on a blind date with the brother of a man that he is interested in. Jason is a workaholic who decides to indulge his brother when he is told to go out on a blind date to get him out of his all work no play rut. Color Jason surprised when he meets Linda as she seems to be the woman who piques his interest enough to wind up with her in a one-night stand. However, as the light dawns on a new day, Linda winds up in front of the last person she would have guessed for her interview. Will Linda and Jason be able to keep things strictly professional between them? The connection between Jason and Linda is instant love and their chemistry is off the charts. The storyline is steamy and could use a little more character depth. I volunteered to read an advance copy of this book.
A quick, hot and steamy read. I love office romances and this one was no different. It was a well written and quick read. The storyline was brilliant and captivating. I absolutely loved the whole thing. I would definitely recommend.
I loved the intensity of this slow burn office romance read. Linda seems like she was having the worst week of her life. A chance meeting with Jason ignites a chemistry that was sweet and steamy from the first look. What happens next was sweet, cute and all the heartwarming feels you will love in a fun romance story that didn’t disappoint. My first taste in the Cocky World Series and I want more!
When everything goes wrong it goes all the way, Linda has the worst kind of week, now she meets Jason on a blind date, what else could happen right? Well this story will drag you in and don’t let you go, it hooked me from the start. It was a crazy ride, but one I enjoyed immensely. Opposites attract and they don’t want to let go.
Linda is having a absolutely horrible day but agrees to a blind date hoping it will change her luck somehow and it does, the moment she sees Jason the attraction is instant for both of them and they have a wild night until she enters her interview and sees none other then Jason. This was a sweet, quick, steamy romance but I would have loved more build up.
I am loving this series. Let me just say that these man are cocky, but lovable. Linda has quite the bad week. She gets fired from her job for something stupid. Then she starts looking for jobs and has a hard time because she doesn’t have a lot of time at the previous job and was fired. But then her best friend set her up on a blind date. This blind date leads to so much more for Linda.
Linda and Jason have chemistry right from the get go. But neither one of them realize who the other person is until the next morning. Will these two be able to get past what is in front of them?
I absolutely loved the chemistry between these two. Linda and Jason have quite the storyline. Yes it is fast paced but written amazing to tell you quite the story. Loved it and cant wait to read more in this series
This is a very fun and steamy read. Jason and Linda’s story will quickly pull you in and have you in need of a ice cold beverage to cool you down. I loved these characters. I thought that Linda was super relatable because regardless of the varying circumstances we’ve all had those days, weeks, months or even years. Jason was epically swoon worthy!!! This hot, dirty talking man had no doubts about what he wanted once he laid eyes on Linda! I am posting an independent, impartial review.
I’m so excited this was on audio. My eyes have been too tired lately.
It’s totally my jam when the characters have a sexy meeting then find out they’re going to be working together. Their chemistry and his possessiveness were wonderful.
This was a hot and quick read. I love a good office romance and these two made for an interesting read. The build up between them starts with a one night stand and them not knowing who the other is. It just builds from there and was wonderful!
Wicked Bedmate was a quick, great read. It’s part of the Cocky Hero Club which is inspired by Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward’s Cocky Bastard series. You don’t have to have the Cocky Bastard series to enjoy this one. Linda is a down to earth girl. Some of the things she gets herself into are funny to read but not funny for her. Linda has been fired from her job. She doesn’t really want to go on a blind date but her best friend convinces her too. She had a great date with Jason but this go weird the next day. Turns out Jason is one of the people interviewing her for a job. Jason is sweet and nice but all alpha. He’s a little possession but in a cute way. These two had an instant conection and are good together. This one was my first read by Jenika Snow and I will definitely be checking out more of her books.
A quick, fun read. Office romance. Jason and Linda meet on a blind date and it is insta attraction and insta love. Plenty of steam to heat up the pages too.
This is a crazy, whirlwind of an office romance! And Ms. Snow definitely knows her way around this plot twist. I really enjoyed the relationship build up in this book. Another great one for the Cocky Hero Club!
Jason and Linda…
weeheee omg I love reading books with my own name,
especially these kind of books
One blind date…
surprises all over this book, lovely friendship and such an fun read.
The book is written in easy reading style, a lot of cocky bantering .
An right up my ally kind of book
It’s an adult romance book with explicit sexual scenes, and definitely worth to read if this genre is just like me, up to your ally

Good story for this series, I felt bad for Linda being fired the way she was, and I can definitely sympathize with the stress of trying to find a new job. Liked that Jason wasn’t a jerky d-bag and how he took care of Linda after she got up close and personal with the adult libations, although she thinks more happened between them. Only in the romance genre have I read where two people hook up (or almost hook up), only to discover shortly thereafter that they will be working with each other. Jason isn’t the type to give up, but he’s not being all stalkery and creepy about it.
