First there was pain, and now there is just… nothing. No one can ever understand the losses I’ve suffered. A solitary existence that consists of my work and the empty house that serves as a constant reminder of all I have lost. After months of paralyzing emptiness, I turn to The Wicked Horse so I can feel something. Anything, really. Any shred of emotion that will explain why I’m still here. Any … here. Any justification for why my life was spared and theirs were not.
It’s all in vain. Not even the debauchery of the notorious sex club can fill the hollowness that consumes me.
Until she walks in.
Absolutely perfect. Gorgeous and bends to my will. Gives me her body willingly, while expecting nothing more from me than the pleasure I offer her. And the more she gives, the more I find myself wanting to take.
Wanting to crawl out of my personal hell for this wicked angel.

Wicked Angel is the sixth book in the Wicked Horse Vegas series. I can easily say that this can be read/listened to as a stand alone because I have not had the chance to have read/listened to the other books in the series.
This was one audio book that I was not able to turn off. Normally my time to listen to audiobooks occurs during my drive to and from work but this one had me putting in my earbuds and listening while doing other things. Yes, it was a lot more difficult on my part with being interrupted often but this was one story I needed to know how it was going to end. It was not at all what I was expecting. My only flaw I found with the story is I either missed the outcome of something with trying to listen with my earbuds and being interrupted or the author didn’t come back to it with the turns the story took so because it could of been something on my part, I’m not having it impact my rating but it is something I plan on going back to find out about.
Benjamin has suffered a major tragedy and has become numb to life because of this. His visits to the Wicked Horse are in hopes of feeling again but he never expect what happens when he meets Elena. Their story has many obstacles and twists that had me glued from the start. The twists kept me wondering how the author was going to end this story and the narrators did a wonderful job bringing this story to life. They were able to really to have the listener experience the emotions of the characters, where it be tears, stress, worry, laughter, frustration, ect. I also enjoyed the depth of the story that was written. Sure there were some hot and steamy scenes but the book had a well written story that felt very realistic. There was a great balance between the story and the sex scenes. I am looking forward to going back and listening to the other books in the series and future books from this author and narrators.
This is a review for the audible version of this story.
Wicked Angel is a heartbreaking, emotional story that you will not want to put down and the amazing voices narrating this book only added to the perfection!
Benjamin’s past ripped me to pieces and Sawyer Bennett wrote his story with such raw emotions my heart ached for him. He has experienced unbelievable loss and is broken when he first meets Elena and is using the Wicked Horse to find a way to feel something after shutting down all his emotions in order to escape his pain. And boy is Elena making him feel! It is almost too much for him, but at the same time he can’t stay away from her and this relationship that they are slowly building is putting him on a journey to rediscover himself even if he doesn’t know it. Yes, he is still fighting his past but with Elena he is finally figuring out that it might be time to look into his future. With her help, understanding and time he is starting to heal and allowing himself to feel the good things in life again. Elena has had issues with her past relationships wanting too much from her without considering her needs but she realizes that Benjamin is different and she would be happy to accept the weight of his problems without losing herself. These two are perfect for each other and now they both have a chance to find love and happiness!
This story is one you do not want to miss!
Wicked Angel is a fantastic stand-alone that only adds to the amazing Wicked Horse Series by Sawyer Bennett. It is a story about a man whose loss is so severe, he’s become numb. Sure he can still perform as one of the best neurosurgeons in the area, but outside of work, nothing holds a candle to the life he used to live. That is until he meets Elena. She brings back bursts of color into his otherwise gray world. Elena is a strong, independent woman who knows what she wants. She is compassionate, but not a pushover.
I love the way Sawyer creates a world you never want to leave. She builds beautiful characters that are strong, determined and grip at your heart-strings from the beginning. She creates the perfect amount of tension, combustible chemistry, and emotions. I was so excited to get more from this series and after reading this book, I know this won’t be the end of this incredible series. I can’t wait to see what Sawyer does next!
PS – Lance Greenfield and Kristen Leigh do a fantastic job of narrating this book. They brought Sawyers words to life.
Wicked Angel is book 6 in the Wicked Horse Vegas Series and it’s Benjamin and Elena’s story, it’s a great addition to the series and this book was everything I have come to expect from Sawyer Bennett and so much more.
Benjamin is a neurosurgeon who is having a hard time with life, he has shut himself off from his family and friends after losing his wife and daughter in a tragic accident but The Wicked Horse Fantasy App seems to be just what he needs to release his bent up frustration.
Elena is a successful hairdresser but something is missing from her life, she is not looking for a relationship just a bit of fun she also turns to The Wicked Horse Fantasy App.
What starts off as a release and some fun soon turns not so much more and this story touched me on so many levels, it has all the feels from heartbreak to finding love again, my emotions were all over the place as this book captivated me and took over my life, I could not put it down! The chemistry and sex is off the charts and this book has the perfect mix of love and passion as well as a great story to get your teeth into. Love this series and I can’t wait for the next book.
AUDIOBOOK REVIEW
Wicked Angel is Book 6 in the Wicked Horse Vegas Series by Sawyer Bennett and it another great addition to the series
I’m a suck for a story with a doctor as one of the main characters and Benjamin Hewitt, a renowned neurosurgeon, fits the bill! Having suffered a tragic loss a year before and finding himself a shell of his former self he joins the Wicked Horse in the hopes of feeling alive once again. There he encounters Elena Costieri and boy do the sparks fly!!!
As usual, this audiobook has everything I love about Sawyer Bennett’s books – great characters, on point banter, off-the-chart sexy times, a bit of angst and a well-paced plot. I liked Elena as a character – she was strong and was no shrinking violet and Benjamin was definitely an Alpha male, but he was unexpectedly emotional, which was a positive for me.
Kirsten Leigh is an excellent narrator and always delivers a strong and confident narration with the right amount of emotion. Lance Greenfield is great narrator and has a nice deep voice, but I did feel at times he was overdoing the “husky” male tone. But overall an excellent narration from both
So another great listen from Sawyer Bennett and I can’t wait to listen to what she has instore for us next
AUDIO REVIEW
THE STORY:
First of all I really liked Elena. She was so strong and understanding in every way that counted. Even though she was hurt by the men in her past she didn’t let the experiences deter her from going after what she wanted when she knew that feelings were involved. I have to admit, I was skeptical at first, thought she’d be one of these typical women who’d be like ‘oh whatever I KNOW this is just a fling, I won’t catch any FEELINGS and get hurt’ and in the end cry about how stupid they were for falling in love but Elena proved me wrong by being so incredibly poised? about it. I absolutely loved that! There are specific scenes I would love to talk about but oh well, you just have to read the book and find out yourself 😉
Okay so this is getting a little complicated, even though I loved that side of Elena, I just wanted to know more about her as a person. Everyday life, quirks and habits just so I can relate to her a litte more than how she handles her relationship with Benjamin. The same goes to our hero. I guess this is also the reason why I wasn’t overwhelmed by their chemistry. I know they’re sexually compatible, I know they had talks about themselves but I don’t want to be told about it I want to be part of it and just see how well their chemistry is without the sex.
THE NARRATION:
I had some difficulties with Lance Greenfield’s narration. The way he narrated didn’t feel very natural. Often times he would overpronunciate certain words or phrases which made me question whether I should pay attention to this or not.
Kirsten Leigh did a fantastic job with Elena. I really enjoyed listening to her.
What a wicked ride! A heartbreaking storyline filled with hope and combustible chemistry. Everything happens for a reason is a definite theme to this story and will have you rooting for Benjamin and Elena through their journey. A great addition to this wickedly hot series. Lance Greenfield and Kirsten Leigh’s narration is fantastic and brought life to this storyline. I highly recommend this book/audiobook.
Love the narration of both Lance Greenfield and Kristen Leigh in this heartbreaking, yet build you back up romance. This love story broke my heart for Benjamin, yet mended it again by the strong, beautiful Elena…can she help mend Benjamin’s heart and find their HEA or will he throw it all away because of his fears.
I love going back to the Wicked Horse!
It took a little patience, but I absolutely fell in love with Benjamin! He can be a little prickly in the beginning, but once you find out his story, you’re heart immediately latches on to him and you root for him to get a ‘happily ever after.’ Deep down, he has such a good heart and is a great guy, but you have to peel off those layers he’s hiding under before you find the true him.
Elena has all the patience in the world, and she definitely needs it. I love her personality. She owns her sexuality and independence and doesn’t sugarcoat anything. I love her strength. She’s also sassy and unfiltered, and she has no problems getting straight to the point where Benjamin is concerned.
This book gives you plenty of naughty with ALL the feels mixed in. You can always count on Sawyer Bennett to give you both heat and heart. The chemistry between Benjamin and Elena is on fire. And it’s fun to see how both characters grow and evolve during the course of this book.
It’s a beautiful story that I think you’re going to love!
Audio Review: Wicked Angel (Wicked Horse Vegas Book 6) by Sawyer Bennett, Lance Greenfield, Kirsten Leigh
Anyone who reads a Sawyer Bennett novel doesn’t do so for the beautiful words or the flighty happily ever after. Wicked Angel takes a detour into darkness that is as pure as it is tragic. Elena and Benjamin want to feel complete after heartbreak has ripped their lives to shreds. Pain is the answer to a prayer, even as love sneaks into the equation. Though not always likeable, Benjamin is an understandably, empathetic character. His despair left my heart bleeding and my soul breathless. Elena was more of a paradox. Not easy to figure out, but intriguing to get to know. Narrated by Greenfield and Leigh, Ben and Elena are a taste of real life. Bennett turns heartache in a sensuously, unpredictable wake-up call.
Hold on to your heart-strings ladies! Wicked Angel is the sixth book in Sawyer Bennet’s delectable Wicked Horse Vegas series and is a second chance at love story between a neurosurgeon who once had it all, and a hairstylist who has yet to find true love.
Benjamin is particularly compelling because he has closed himself off from the world since the tragedy that took all that he lived for away. He is numb to life, and watching him slowly start to wake up once Elena comes into his world is riveting.
Elena doesn’t trust herself anymore after picking a bunch of losers, but she can’t turn her back on the instant pull she feels towards Benjamin. Their connection is full of heat and sass.
If you love an angst ridden hero who isn’t so sure he ever wants to put his heart on the line again after heartbreak, this story is for you. You can’t go wrong with any book in the series so far, but this one was particularly emotional and I highly recommend it.
5 Stars
Wicked Angel by Sawyer Bennett is the sixth book in the Wicked Horse Vegas series and OH MY GOSH it was incredible. It was an emotional tale that grabbed me by the heart and didn’t let go. It was also HOT AS HELL and I was so into it that I couldn’t put it down!
After suffering a tragedy Benjamin has been living a shell of a life-with only concentrating on his work and keeping himself closed off. Benjamin figures going to the Wicked Horse will hopefully bring back emotions to his life. He wasn’t counting on meeting the beautiful Elena and having a deep connection.
Elena has had the worst luck in dating and she is tired of it. Going to the Wicked Horse provides everything she needs-no attachment and hot as hell men. When she meets Benjamin she knows he’s not like the others. But he is broken and that scares her. Will she be able to break down his walls?
I LOVED this book so much. From the characters to the plot-everything was absolute perfection! The connection between Elena and Benjamin was so beautiful. I highly recommend reading this book!
This book is heartbreaking and hopeful. Ms. Sawyer has such a special gift of bringing the reader’s emotions into her story and feeling all the feelings of the characters. Benjamin is a neurosurgeon who has had unimaginable heartache. He is not living or letting anyone in his life—just his surgery. He goes to the Wicked Horse hoping to feel something through sex. Here is where he meets Elena who has sworn off men except for sex. The two have a connection that surprises them both. Their love story is up and down. I loved how Elena is so open and gets right to the heart of the matter with Benjamin. I couldn’t help but feel bad for Benjamin, but wanted to shake him at times! I strongly encourage you to read the the book. I voluntarily read an Advanced Reader’s Copy of the book.
Benjamin and Elena provided a nice, unique side angle to the Wicked Horse Las Vegas. Benjamin’s loss is palpable throughout the story and it makes it challenging to endure as a reader. I can’t imagine suffering as he has, so his coping mechanisms are understandable. Elena is strong and independent enough to manage Benjamin’s needs. It was great to see Jorie & Walsh again, too!
This book is a wonderful addition to the Wickee Horse series. It’s hot, steamy, and delectible dirty. If you enjoyed the rest of this series, you will love Ben and Elena’s story!

Wicked Angel is the sixth book in the sexy Wicked Horse Vegas series by the fantastic Sawyer Bennett. Each book can be read as standalone. If you read Wicked Wish then you have already met Elena as the friend that dragged Jorie to the Wicked Horse where she got the surprise of a lifetime. Well, now it’s Elena’s turn.
Benjamin has been living half a life since the day he lost his everything. Since then all his does is work and push his friends, colleagues, and family away. Only one thing has made him feel somewhat normal and he found that just a few month ago at Wicked Horse. He goes there to forget. To lose himself in a woman even if it’s just to get his rocks off. And even that really has done it for him. Not until he walks in and sees her. Blindfolded and willing to give over her body. And in that experience and in her body, he feels something. And to be honest…it freaks him the fuck out.
Elena only goes to Wicked Horse a few times a month to get down and dirty. She isn’t looking for a relationship. She was tired of being with used by her best boyfriends. So she only uses her membership to get off and get out. She hadn’t felt a connection to any of the men until he walked in. He was someone she couldn’t forget even if she never saw his face. But then fate stepped in and he saw her at a party and wanted her again.
They make a deal. Thirty days. It was only supposed to be sex. But what happens when feelings get involved? When he starts to feel more than numbness? When she opens him up? Will one of them run?
I loved it! It’s not only fucking hot but emotional and sweet. No, there aren’t flowers and candles. Ok…maybe some wax but you know what I mean. It’s about their connection. Hope. And understanding.
Overall…I know I said it already. It’s fucking hot! I loved the story. The characters. The writing. The heat. The love.
Quotes:
Damn that feels so good. I want to stay lost in this moment forever.
“Don’t,” she murmurs, her hands moving to stop me. “You’re beautiful, and I’d like to see more.”
“You’re the least broken person I know.”
Wow! Holy guacamole Elena and Benjamin burn it up in a huge way!! Such a deep and emotional book while bringing back the heat I expect from this series!!
Benjamin, an extremely talented neurosurgeon, has not only witnessed great loss, but has suffered great loss. Over the past year, Benjamin has gone to extremes to NOT feel. Benjamin pushes away all the important people in his life. He hasn’t spoken to his mom, dad, or brother. He’s neglected his relationship with his best friend and their business is under fire due to his inappropriate words, actions. At home, he’s moved into the spare bedroom, removed anything that reminds him of his late wife and daughter, and covered all the furniture. He’s buried his emotions so deep, they have no hope of escaping. Until he meets Elena…
Elena doesn’t do relationships. After being used numerous times, she figures she’s better off concentrating on her business. Since her best friend, Jorie, is now happily married Elena decides to try the new Wicked Horse app. Through the app, Elena “meets” Benjamin. Benjamin is intrigued by Elena, so he asks her to meet him at the Wicked Horse. After a night of the best s** Benjamin has ever had, he flees-afraid of his feelings. When fate throws them together again, they have to decide whether continue a friends with benefits type of relationship or take a chance on something more meaningful.
Sawyer Bennett is AMAZING! Each story in this series is different and unique, yet connected. You do not have to read the series in order either. The stories flow effortlessly. I felt as though I was living through every emotion Benjamin experienced. The story pulls you in, makes you laugh, makes you cry, and makes you FEEL. I don’t know the last time I thoroughly enjoyed a novel this much. I read a gifted copy and all opinions stated are my own.
4 scorching stars!! Wicked Angel is a story of 2 people who are flawed and broken who find each other and somehow they both become stronger. Benjamin and Elena meet at the Wicked Horse club and have an immediate connection. Initially, it’s meant to just be an arrangement but their relationship quickly changes and grows and they find themselves spending time not having sex.
Benjamin has been dealing with crushing grief after losing his family. He’s pushed away his friends and family trying not to feel the pain. But after meeting Elena, he decides to try to feel again. But Elena makes him feel too much and he doesn’t handle it well.
Faith is also a big part of this story. Elena’s faith is very strong but Benjamin really struggles with this. Together they have to work through fear, grief, and faith and somehow find love.
This book was so good. It was emotional yet sexy and it was unputdownable. I highly recommend!
