“Ms. Harms and Ms. Moose have done an exceptional job of co-authoring a book that flowed smoothly and effortlessly and at no point could I tell who wrote which chapter.” -My Girlfriend’s Couch Blog“Heart-wrenching, intense, smoldering, amazing, and beautiful. This book was so perfect.” -Bookalicious Babes BlogA point in time, an unexpected event, changes everything.Reagan’s life was about to … everything.
Reagan’s life was about to begin. A recent college graduate with her career about to launch, she was living in Boston with her best friends. She had everything she worked hard for until one man took it all away, leaving her feeling empty and desolate.
After spending a few years alone, Reagan finally moves to Chicago with her best friend, Aimee, and vows to put her past behind her. When Reagan lands a job at Powers Financial, she never expects to find the one person that would give her back the girl she left behind years ago.
Drew Powers loves being the powerful CFO of a successful corporation and raising his son, Dawson. He’s known as “asshat” at the company and it doesn’t help calm his temper or patience. Drew’s main focus doesn’t include love or commitment. Those are the last things on his mind.
When the reserved and beautiful Reagan Halloway bumps into him and tests his patience, he ignores the lust he feels for her until she becomes all he can think about.
Fate is a powerful thing. A force that leads two people to one another and gives them both the one thing they didn’t know they were missing.
Warning: This novel deals with a sensitive subject and may contain triggers for some.

I am amazed I read the whole book. It was disturbing on so many levels and not in a good way. The writing was unbelievably disjointed. I read there were 2 authors. I felt there were more. The beginning was dark but our h moved on and found inner strength. Girl meets boy and as the story unfolded the writing style kept changing. The characters change how they address one another. Proper names, nicknames, for one lengthy portion everyone was “Babe”, even the 6 year old. Then it’s back to real names. I found no redeeming factors in the characters or the story. The seemingly wonderful characters suddenly show a brutish side with a confusing lack of empathy or forgiveness. I felt that the “villain” or antagonist deserved severe punishment but the harsh judgement by our protagonist was jarring. Suddenly this wonderful H turns away without a smidgen of kindness or forgiveness. The scene between the 2 men in the prison struck a discordant note, yet the book goes on to end ” happily ever after”. As if nothing will be forgiven but all will be forgotten.
Basically this book takes a cloying, gooey romance and bookends it with violence and brutality. Just No!
I loved this book. It was definitely full of emotion and the main characters were very well written and developed. It does deal with sensitive subject, just so you are aware. But the more I read and the story developed I couldn’t put it down. I had to see how it was going to play out. I would definitely recommend t he is book.
This book definitely had my emotions all over the place in a good way since I’m the type of read that enjoys books that make me feel all different types of emotions. I felt horrible for what happened to both Reagan and Drew in the lives but in the end they both found each other and were able to find happiness together. Reagan was able to finally heal, and open her heart up again and trust again and let happiness in, trust and find love again. Drew was able to find love as well again for both him and his son as well. Yes Reagan had to go through so very horrible things and it made it for some very hard years in her life and made if so that she didn’t want to let anyone in for a very long time but then when she met Drew’s son she finally decided to give it a chance, and luckily she did because in the end it was the best decision she could have made because it brought her true happiness. In the end both her and Drew were able to find their HEA and Dawson was about to get a stepmother who is their for him more often and cares for him. This is my first book by this author and I really enjoyed it, I would definitely read another book!
Many authors have the ability to tell a great story that entertains. A very few have the ability to describe a scene so well that the reader feels as if they can literally see, hear, feel what the characters do. This duo of writers have done that with this book. I was crying within the first 5 pages. I felt real anger during those same first 5 pages. And I was totally laughing out loud at some of the initial interactions between Reagan and Drew. There was one particular conversation between the two that made my heart flutter! It’s a wonderful story of a woman overcoming a personal tragedy to find the life and love she deserves to have.
I love how patient Drew is with Reagan, and how strong she is! To live through what she did and come out stronger than ever is just amazing! And Dawson! He was just an overload of cuteness!
There are some parts that were hard to read, and may be a trigger for some readers, but while their impact has a lasting effect on the entire book, it only encompasses a very small part of the story line.
I loved this book, and would definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys an empowering story of a woman overcoming adversity to take control of her life.
Survival, Healing and finally Love.
C.A Harms and S. Moose make a formidable writing team, and I will absolutely one-click everything I see from them in the future. Their writing is intense, shocking, witty and humorous. Like life often is.
Why I’m yours is about the survival and healing after a harrowing attack, which, disgustingly, is all too familiar to many women. Reagan Halloway had her life set. She’d done the hard yards, was ready to graduate and embrace life, until one man stole it all from her. She’s now no longer the strong, sweet and happy girl she was, just a survivor.
Drew Powers thought he’d married the woman he loved and wanted to create a family with, and for a while, everything was perfect. When his son Dawson was born, he was smitten. Unfortunately his wife wasn’t, and things fell apart. Now, divorced, it was just his hollow and frozen self, and his gorgeous son.
Reagan finally has her life together and has secured a job as a Personal assistant to the CEO of Powers Financial, Miranda Powers, when she literally bumps into the CFO, Miranda’s son Drew. He’s earned the nickname a$$hat, and tries to treat her like his personal slave, since his last secretary was one in a long line who’d recently quit. Reagan did not acknowledge men who threw their power around, especially the most handsome man she’s ever laid eyes on. She stood her ground, and the chemistry between them was INTENSE! This only made him more intrigued, and she successfully ignored him, until, she saw Dawson.
There is no bigger chick magnet than a single father who openly shows his love and devotion to their offspring. And Drew is totally dedicated to Dawson. This kid is just gorgeous, and not only stole the book, but Reagan’s heart. Just when things look like they might head in the right direction, a massive road block occurs, and has the potential to set her back.
Secondary characters in the form of Drew’s cousin Remy, and Reagan’s best friend Aimee add a deep dynamic to the thread of the story, and there is the best hook ever at the end, to ensure that I just can’t wait for their next book, due next year! I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy of this amazing book, and highly recommend it as a 5 Star read!
