Isabelle Malone was recruited specifically to be the sheriff in Tawny Valley because she is a shifter. She takes her job very seriously, especially when Cade comes into town, with a baby, and her suspicions are raised as to the child’s welfare. What she isn’t expecting is for him to be her mate.

Bear shifter, Elise, has a problem. A promise she made on her sister’s deathbed means she must try to find the father of, Connor, her sister’s child. Beau is the man she tasks with the job, telling him she was abandoned by her mate, who left her pregnant and alone.
The only problem… When she comes face to face with Beau, she realizes he is her true mate. Should she maintain the lie? Or should she come clean and tell him the truth.
That secretly she doesn’t want to just find the man who betrayed her sister … she’d like to put a knife in his heart instead!
When secrets are revealed, Beau and Elise find they have more in common than they ever could have imagined. And eventually they will find out who is the daddy, to baby Connor.

I thoroughly enjoyed this collection. Each book in this collection is reviewed separately.
One Bear and a Baby – I really enjoyed this book. I liked the connection between Cade and Isabelle and thought they were great together. Fate sure knew what it was doing matching them together just when Cade came back to town with wee Maisie who he’s protecting and who better to help him protect Maisie and find Maisie’s mother Jenni than his mate who also happens to be the Sheriff. Cade met Jenni while they were both on the same job Undercover to try and break up a dr*g ring. Cade and Jenni solved their case then went onto seperate jobs. It had been about a year since Cade had heard from Jenni when she shows up on his doorstep with Maisie telling him that she’d been set up and he needs to protect Maisie. I’d recommend this book, series, universe and author to everyone.
Her Bear and a Baby – I really liked this book. I thought Elise and Beau were great together once they let down their walls and were honest about what they want. After both of them suffered a massive loss of their sisters’ Eleanor and Louisa. They had know idea that they could both help each other cope with their loss especially after finding out that the same man was responsible for k*lling them both. Baby Connor was adorable. I’m looking forward to reading Louisa’s mate Liam’s book next.
Second Chance Bear and a Baby – I really enjoyed this book. I liked the connection between Carla and Liam and totally thought Fate or at least Louisa had a hand in Joel deciding to put Niq it in the shot and asked Carla to stay with him while he drank it. Carla was a great choice for his second chance after losing his first mate Louisa when she was m*rdered by Connell as when he gave her Niq it, it didn’t work so he wanted to know why she was immune from it. I liked that Louisa’s brother Beau wasn’t too angry at Liam for taking Niq it, even though it wasn’t by choice and that he knew that Louisa would’ve wanted him to be happy and Liam said he’d want the same for her if their roles were reversed. I’m looking forward to reading Joel’s book next.
Baby Protector Bear – I really enjoyed this book. Fate sure knew what it was doing matching Joel and Chrissie together, when Baby Sam who is in Chrissie’s care is in danger and his mother Angela was m*rdered and his grandmother had a heart attack and is unlikely to make it so Sam needs protecting and what better person to keep both Chrissie and Sam safe than Joel a Bear Shifter and Chrissie’s mate. Someone leaked Angela and her mothers safe house location that resulted in possibly two de*ths and the attempted abd*ction of Sam so both Joel and Chrissie are warned by Joel’s Chief that they possibly have a mole in either the Police Department or Social Services where Chrissie works so keep and eye out. Their safe house is compromised and the guy who broke in blames Chrissie for everything but Joel knows that she has nothing to do with it so he knows that it’s someone else so they flee and Joel takes them somewhere safe. I thought Chrissie took finding out about Joel being a shifter very well.
I’d definitely recommend this collection, each book in the series and author to everyone.
