A Paranormal Women’s Fiction with a bit of class, and a lot of sass, for anyone who feels like age is just a number!Midlife’s a journey. Enjoy the ride. Crisis included.Never knew that life after death was far more dangerous than real life.Never in my forty years did I think my new normal would be gluing body parts back onto ghosts and hosting a houseful of dead squatters. Thank God for superglue … ghosts and hosting a houseful of dead squatters. Thank God for superglue and a strong stomach.
Never thought I’d date the Grim Reaper and that I would be the one to blow it. I mean, how idiotic does one have to be to get dumped by a dude who lives in Hell?
Going about business as usual is not usual in any way. No one is who they seem to be… and to be honest, neither am I. What I’d known to be true has turned out to be myth. The Angels are frightening and the Demons are hot. Wait. I mean not. Who am I kidding? The Grim Reaper is very hot—like a freaking pre-menopausal hot flash hot.
Now I’m in a race against time and all sorts of unsavory supernatural horrors to save my deceased gay husband’s afterlife. And that was a sentence I never thought would leave my lips.
Whatever. I’ll yank up my big girl panties, stock up on wine and lean on my girlfriends as needed. As they say, when the going gets tough, the tough get inebriated… or something like that.
With everything to lose, I have no choice but to grow some lady balls. That I can do. I just hope balls will be enough.
I had planned to live midlife in peace, not in pieces.
Good luck to me…

This book had me laughing so hard. Daisy is a Death Counselor, has fallen in love with the Grim Reaper and is trying to save her gay best friend Steve. And that doesn’t even begin to describe it. Pure fun.
Robyn’s books are always amazing! Seriously. Just pick it up.
I need more stars to give to this book! It was freaking fantastic and incredibly hilarious journey through this book! I absolutely loved it! I love Daisy how she grows her “Lady balls” – her words, not mine. Love her friends even weird ones, and of course Gram! She is something else!
Loved the storyline with unexpected twists and turns. Robyn Peterman did a wonderful job writing this book that made me feel all kinds of emotions. I laughed out loud until cried, then cried and laughed more.
Can’t wait for the next installment!
Ahhh Robyn Peterman does it again. An amazing book that gives you all the feels. This is the second book in her midlife crisis series Definitely read the first one first. This picked up right where the first ended. A fabulous series can’t wait for the third
When I think of a “midlife crisis” I sure didn’t think of this! Robyn has written the story of Daisy, Steve and Gideon and their ups and downs. I went from laughing hysterically to crying like a baby. I feel like I’m right there in the room with each of them.
Overall rating :5
From one book to the next, I really wish I could just give a copy of these to anyone that is sad or feeling despair. Especially these midlife crisis books! Of course, these are perfect for mature readers who don’t mind a bit of shark here and there! Once again, I laughed so much my tummy felt like it went through a grueling workout. Love this series! All my reviews are always voluntarily written.
This story is Daisy’s journey to try and save her ghost ex-husband and best friend who are one and the same! We see her travel to a dark place to begin that journey! And you will never guess who she is going to find!! So much great fun also in this book!!
Oh what a tangled web we weave! I loved this story. It has laughter coming out the ears. It is one that has you sitting down and unable to put it down. I started to read it and said one more chapter before bed. That did not happen. I read through it in one sitting because I had to find out how it ends. The characters are stunningly beautiful. Their personalities are magnificent. This series is addictive and I can’t wait to the next book. Yes, it does end in a cliffhanger but oh my goodness is it fabulous. This series is a fantastic must read!!!!!!
All I can say is “Wow!” I have been waiting it seems forever for this second book in the series. Wow! It was worth the wait! What a roller coaster ride! I giggled hysterically, I cried tears of sadness. With a new BFF that puts her electronic boyfriends on display while she is navigating the darkness, a whole slew of new Immodiums, er, Immortals!, What can go wrong? It does help to have read book 1 first, but I loved every word and can hardly wait for book 3.
I really enjoyed this 2nd book in the series! Once again the storyline is unique, hilarious and well written. The characters are funny, strong and show amazing character. The story brought smiles, tears, laughter and happiness to me so it’s definitely a must read!
I was a bit nervous about reading “Who’s Mid-life Crisis is it Anyway?-Book 2 of the Good to the Last Death Series” by Robyn Peterman. She had left such a cliffhanger in Book 1, I wasn’t sure how she was going to get Daisy out of the mess she left her in.
Steve, her dead, gay, ex husband, was in a fix being doomed to the darkness, when he should have been sent into the light. This was not good, and it was NOT right! She had to save him and get revenge on Clarissa, while she was at it. To do this she needed Gideon’s (her ex) cooperation. How was she going to solve this pickle???!!!
Robyn leads you on, and leads you down roads you didn’t expect (no I’m telling), but by the end, your mouth will be hanging open and you will be scratching your head and thinking wth? Again! Leaves you begging for the next book!!!
This is hands down, my favorite series from Robyn Peterman. The characters are the most relatable that I have ever come across, and this story absolutely comes alive within the first page! It is funny, witty, sad, and ridiculously snort worthy all at the same time and takes you on quite the journey from start to finish. With the ending of this one, I can’t wait for book 3!! Thank you for the opportunity to review one of the best books from this year!
I am on this journey with Daisy until the end!! Whose Midlife Crisis Is It Anyway? is a fantastic continuation of Daisy’s story in the Good To The Last Death series. There were so many times were I was laughing out loud, and a few times the book got me solid in my feels. I can’t wait to read what happens next!
Who’s Midlife Crisis is it Anyway by Robyn Peterman
2nd book in the Good to the Last Death series. Paranormal women’s fiction. Best by in series order. Last chapter from book 1 is the first chapter in book 2. (Love that!) cliffhanger.
Daisy will do whatever is necessary to protect her ex husband from the dark side of afterlife. That includes seeking out the Grim Reaper and taking back her power to help the dead and glueing on their appendages.
Some laugh out loud moments, some moments a bit sad, following Daisy on an extra-world adventure is a unique trip filled with puns, laughter and plenty of pop culture references.
This is book 2 of 6 so expect a cliffhanger in all of them.
I alternated between a paperback copy and an audiobook. Both were equally fun but I enjoyed the audiobook a bit more for the performance of humor and sarcasm that came through clearly. The narrator is Jessica Almasy.
Daisy is back with her hellhound and rescue dog. Daisy helped a ghost figure out her unfinished business. I LOVE DAISY! This series like most of Robyn Peterman’s books crack me up. I like the way Daisy helps the ghosts. I miss the way Daisy and Gideon seemed so great together. The narrator for this series is the one who does all the Astrid books. She is so great. I can’t wait to listen to the rest. I recommend all of Robyn Peterman’s books, especially on audio. Ten times funnier than what i can imagine.
This series doesn’t disappoint. Daisy and her friends are fantastic and I love how she cares for strangers and her dead squatters. I don’t think I have laughed this much while reading a book in awhile. It’s definitely a page turner and I laugh every time I hear John Travolta and what Tim did while Daisy was away.
The audiobook is fantastic and I love the narrator. It makes me feel like I’m watching a play. Very vivid. Absolutely love it!
If you’re a fan of paranormal women’s fiction, be sure to check this series out. The author doesn’t disappoint.
In what words can I say. CLIFF HANGER! But it’s a good thing for me the next book is ready for me to listen to.
Oh man just like the first book in this series it gave me all the feels! It had me looking bipolar to my family. Laphing out loud and crying in like 10 min and then laughing again the next sec. I road the anger with Daisy, and I felt the love she felt as well, her sorrows were my own. So worth the credit. Thank you Robyn and Jessica for bringing this beautiful story to life.
I really love the direction this series is going. It’s definitely kissed with curve balls. I was completely absorbed reading it. Another great book.
Turning forty means weight gain, memory loss and finding hands in your laundry basket right? Oh and dead people. I see dead people. Seriously from the first paragraph I was on board for this zany midlife disaster. No one is who you think they are and the creative cursing is a huge source of entertainment. The ups, downs and completely off your rocker moments will have you rolling and praying you don’t need a depends to read this book. Joking, well only slightly because let’s be real sometimes it happens. Seriously fun read. Can’t wait to see where Darcy, her dead hubs, all her squatter and her merry band of misfits take this story!
Editing to add audio review
Daisy is back with her squatter ghost and a mission or two. Gaining a Birdie was greatness in this book and Daisys heart seems to grow. She’s determined to right the wrongs she has done as well as those of other. I seriously don’t think they could have picked a better narrator for this story! Her voices and personalities for the characters are wonderful and her ghost are so well done! Love the story, love the narrator and love seeing Gran let it all out even if it’s a little sad.
I am really hooked on this series and it made me laugh and took my mind on a strange trip that is very enjoyable. Looking forward to Book 3.
