Always the bridesmaid and never the bride. It’s something I’d resigned myself to. Fourteen dresses, three caught bouquets and counting. I thought I was doomed to live my life alone. Then he came along. Grant ‘Bear’ Warren. I stand across from him at the altar, an imposing man, big like his name, but quiet and reclusive by nature. He’s the best man to my maid of honor. Our eyes meet. I think I … honor. Our eyes meet. I think I see a smile, maybe some interest in his eyes. He doesn’t want to dance, but I convince him. I don’t want to stay past dinner, but he convinces me.
Then we start drinking.
I remember laughing.
I remember talking.
I even remember going for a long walk together.
What I don’t remember is saying ‘I do’.
Somehow, I’m the bride, married to a man—a mountain man—I just met.
What do I do now?
Note: Get your swoon on with this soft-spoken mountain man and a curvy bridesmaid who fall into each other faster than you can say ‘love at first sight’. As always, this Megan Wade book comes with her ‘Sugar Promise’. High heat, low drama, guaranteed.

Jolene is a special kinda gal whose just waiting for the one. When he’s standing at the end of the aisle as she walks in her bestie’s wedding…. Well, let’s just say she falls head over heels – or makes a good effort.
Gavin isn’t known for his people skills but with Jolene, life is simpler, more complete. I like how he fights for her especially when secrets come to light. It’s a sweet with heat novella. I enjoyed this as part of the Whoa! I Married a… collection.

This was a cute and sweet insta love story. It had great characters and was a super fast read.
this was an interesting read. a girl who was always the bridesmaid and never the bride, thought her time would never come. but after falling for a mystery mountain man, they wake the up to find they got married too. it was sweet and gave a lot of understanding for both parties to finally find the person they were suppose to be with.
Always the bridesmaid and never the bride……..until she is and doesn’t remember it
Whoa! I Married a Mountain Man! is the first book in the Wedded Curves series by Megan Wade. It is fast-paced and sweet story. Jolene is the mayor’s daughter who is always the bridesmaid and never the bride. She is at another wedding, this time as the maid of honor for her best friend Marnie, when she spots the best man that she is paired with. Gavin is a huge man who is an ex Marine but a gentle man and is living in the mountains away from everyone.
Add some alcohol, dancing and a moonlight stroll and you end up waking up in the morning married. Ooops!!!
But Jolene has a medical condition where she has a reduced mental capacity. So now what happens???
Overall I enjoyed this book and found it to be fun, sweet and entertaining. I really liked Jolene and how Gavin is protective of her immediately. What I was not a fan of was bringing her condition into the story because it added an element that was a bit creepy to this already older man/younger woman (by about half). I still enjoyed the story though.
I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.
I kind of loved this story. It was short but sweetly entertaining and enjoyable. The characters were likable and relatable. I really loved Jolene’s sweetness.

I loved that Gavin and Jolene were both all-in immediately. The way they both only had eyes for each other was super sweet. The way they met was both hilarious and cringe-worthy. Jolene getting Gavin out of his comfort zone to do something he didn’t normally do was awesome. Both of their reactions to being married was wonderful. I loved their happy ever after and I recommend reading this book.
