A fantastic well written suspenseful romance. This well written engaging storyline had me glued from beginning to end with romance, drama, suspense, protection, and love. The characters are realistic and full of chemistry. The narration was wonderfully done really adding to the storyline pulling me into this fun sweet romance.
This book has everything you could possibly want in a good romance. Plus it will leave you breathless. If the swoon-worthy kisses don’t knock the wind out of you, the nail-biting suspense will! Who’s sending the threatening notes? Who’s watching? And their kisses were to die for. No pun intended. Lol. This book was also funny! Harry is not an Alpha male. He’s so quirky it’s actually endearing. And Julie compliments him so we’ll. I loved every twist and turn. Except when Harry gets beat up. Poor guy. But when Julie fights back and saves him, that’s when I thought… They were so perfect for each other. I highly recommend this book if you enjoy a clean, sweet read with kisses that will make you blush. This book will leave a warm smile on your face that will take days to fade. Loved every scene, and look forward to the audiobook when it comes out! Can’t wait for book 2!!
This book was so much fun! I loved the spunky FMC and her billionaire was definitely swoon-worthy. 🙂 Read it. Today.
Well this is my first time reading this author and wow am I so glad I did. Julia is a seamstress in high fashion world in ny and agrees to be set up on a blind date. Harry is a rich movie producer and an introvert same as julia but when they meet its pretty much instant love for them but when things start to happen can they weather the storm together? This book is completely different from all the insta love billionaire books as it has mystery and action packed and suspense and romance and chemistry all in one. I’m loving this couple. Cant wait to read more from this author.
A fun, clean romance with a twist of mystery! Julie and Harry’s new relationship is challenged by someone who does not want them together. I enjoyed that even though they had a “love at first sight” experience, as they got to know each other, their love deepened. A quick, fun read for anyone who enjoys clean romance!
This story about a “billionaire” differs greatly from all the other that I have read in this genre and quite enjoyable. The male protagonist is an intriguing character with endearing characteristics. Throw in some dubious characters and threatening letters and you will continue to read until the end. My only complaint – it is written in the staccato style that so many new American writers favour.
“An insta-love story with two adorable people…and just when you thought you knew how it would end, something happens to change everything.”
Julia is a simple seamstress who loves making others happy. When friend Emily asks her to go out with Harry as a favor, she hesitates but eventually says yes. Harry is a shy billionaire who wants to find love, but his ex and mother have left me a little broken. Their date starts out a little awkward, the chemistry between them develops quickly. By the end of the night, Harry knows that sweet Julia is exactly what he wants and needs, although someone obviously thinks otherwise. But Harry won’t let the threatening messages stand in his way.
I really liked this book. A little suspense made it even better. I had an idea of who was behind the threats, but the depth betrayal through me for a loop. I loved that Harry wasn’t the “alpha” male. He was sweet, kind, and not obnoxious. Some alpha males are just too much for me, but he was really likable. Julia as well. Very good story.
I am a little skeptical when it comes to billionaire romances, so this story was going to have something to prove. I like rugged blue collar men. Then the romance almost seemed too easy….
That’s when the cryptic messages began. I didn’t see them coming, and the mystery hooked me.
In the end, the love at first sight-sweetness won me over and the guilty party came as an interesting surprise!
I received this book as an ARC, and I’m giving a voluntary review.
Wow! I didn’t expect some of the curveballs in this one! Who Wants to Love a Billionaire is a clean romance full of drama and suspense. The main characters have great chemistry. This is a page-turner.
I received this book as an ARC and have chosen to give my honest opinion.
The two main characters are sweet, shy, awkward and overall very likable. This sweet insta-love is made even more interesting by the dark events, suspicion, obstacles. The relationship between Julie and Harry has sort of a fairy tale vibe, it was a really sweet story.
This books was cute, an insta-love story with two adorkable people, with a mystery/suspense twist. It seemed a bit like a modern fairy tale in parts, and just when you thought you knew how it would end, something happens to change everything. This book easily held my interest from beginning to end. And the next book in the series looks like it will be just as good
Laura Burton has written a 5-star intriguing, page-turning book that has a little mystery, betrayal and some twists and turns you will not see coming.
Julie is a fashion designer but she is working as a seamstress for a fashion line. Her friend Emily is known for her matchmaking and somehow sets up a blind date for Julie with Harry. Harry can not believe that he is doing this, but when he sees Julie he feels a connection to her. As they go on another date, he gets a note telling him to walk away from Julie or he will be destroyed. He ignores the note and asks Julie if she would like to go to England with him for the weekend and she agrees. As they are going back to his apartment they are stopped and there is another note across the road. This is the first Julie knows about the notes and it upsets her. They decide to leave his security team behind and go visit her parents. They are out on a walk when they are attacked and Harry is hurt, Julie puts up a fight to protect him. Harry is taken to the hospital and while there Julie thinks the only way to keep him safe is to leave him, so she goes home.
Will Julie get over her feelings for Harry?
Will Harry go after Julie or will he let her go. Will he find out who has been setting up the attacks on him?
This was a wonderful book to read and will have you from the first page to the last page.
I received an ARC copy of this book for my voluntarily and honest review.
“Who Wants to Love a Billionaire?” by Laura Burton
Wow, what a suspense filled sweet clean contemporary romance story. I received an ARC of this story via Bookfunnel from the author with the hope that I would post an honest review. And, honestly this was a really good read.. as a matter of fact. I was so caught up in this story I couldn’t put it down for more than just a few minutes at a time. Had to answer the phone, get something to drink, one cannot just read for hours without giving the old eyes a change of pace every once in a while. So by now you know I really, really, liked this story. Sure hope you enjoy your time in this story as much as I enjoyed my time with Julie, Harry, and Emily, too! Happy Reading ! !

Who wouldn’t want to love this billionaire!
This was a cute story about Julie a seamstress and Harry a movie producer, billionaire. They were set up on a blind date by Julie’s best friend and match maker by trade. The attraction was immediate. As the book quickly moved along, there were twists and turns that kept my attention and made for a interesting story. One thing that drove me crazy was Julie’s name (Julie Andrews). I kept waiting for the sound of music to start playing. Overall it was a very enjoyable book!
Good start to a new series. Laura Burton brings romance, humor, danger and family drama. I’m not sure all the perks of being a billionaire outweigh the danger and drama but the perks are nice. Julie’s best friend/professional matchmaker made the perfect match. I look forward to Harry’s friends falling in love.
I loved the story line and will definitely read another in the series.
There are so many issues with this first book in the series. It was like watching a bad movie and picking apart all the things along the way that made no sense or didn’t work, and then being disappointed I’d spent two hours watching anyway.
Cons: WHO WANTS TO LOVE A BILLIONAIRE
***Harry has the worst security detail EVER!
***The dialogue is seriously lacking. This author goes on and on in descriptive pros yet the hero and heroine seem to have precious little to say to one another. And then the author would write herself into a detailed corner she didn’t know how to get out of so she’d have Harry and Julie suddenly engaged in a sudden make out session.
***If Julie went to fashion design school and is now working for one of the top designers, why does she rely on her rich bff to buy her clothes instead of making them herself?
*** Harry is portrayed as a total nerd, unable to stand up for himself in the slightest situation yet he was named one of the top sexiest men in Estelle’s Magazine.
All of these issues cause the story to be distracting and too unbelievable for me.
This is a fast-paced, fun story.
Julie doesn’t like attention and her friend hooks her up on a blind date with a billionaire she finds herself in the center of attention and also drama she doesn’t want when His ex comes back wanting her man.
There are some twists and turns and lots of romance with a touch of mystery.
Connie Shabshab does a great job narrating. I liked that she didn’t do odd voices for the men and the acing is good. She made the story sound believable and interesting.
Another billionaire romance.
There’s so many billionaire romances out there, and a lot of them are kind of similar and unmemorable, but although this one was quite ‘shallow’, it was still enjoyable to read.
The romance was not very realistic, I mean they fell in love after 3 days… and there were a few unbelievable aspects in the novel, but if you look past all of that, there was a certain charm to the characters and story. There were also some suspenseful moments and plot twists, which was an interesting addition to the story.
Was the novel a bit predictable? Yes. Was it a bit cliche? Yes. But did I still enjoy it? Yes.
Probably not my favourite billionaire novel ever, but if you like this sort of genre, I think it’s worth giving it a go.
A HEA, but the epilogue does set up the next book in the series.
