A fun romance with a slew of twists and turns!
An HEA with a twist!!
Emily owns a matchmaking business and wants to expand to LA. But her investor insist she be married to have the proper image for a matchmaker. Enter David, who needs a wife in 30 days or he will lose his inheritance.
This story is well written and captured my interest. It remains clean, but I found myself getting a little warm sometimes! The narrator does a good job and is very engaging. At first I really didn’t like Emily, but she grows on you as she matures and makes better choices.
There is a very unexpected twist at the end. I was kind of expecting a twist, but not this one! Well done Laura Burton!
I recommend this audiobook.
Fun addition to the series with a modern marriage of convenience story. I liked that both Emily and David had some real character growth throughout the book. Some surprising plot twists made the book even better! A fun, easy read for any fan of contemporary romance.
I liked this book from the very beginning (the characters, the story, everything!). I think this is my favorite in this series.
ARC review
Who Wants to Date a Billionaire has an interesting storyline and characters. The plot included a couple of twists I didn’t expect, which I appreciate.
I received an ARC and have chosen to give my honest opinion.
This review is of the audible book. I thought this was just another romance book. Boy was I surprised. David comes to Emily needing a wife in 30 days but one that he will stay married to. She decides he is just what she needs to help with her needing to be married to get money to start a new business. There is fun with the first 3 women Emily sets up with David. Then there is the mystery as they both don’t know till the very end who has set both of them up for this marriage. This is definitely a different love story I’ve ever read. I just loved it & Ms. Shabshab does a fantastic job reading the book. I received a free copy from the author. This is my voluntary review.
Who Wants to Date a Billionaire
By Laura Burton
Main Characters: Emily and David
I voluntarily and honestly reviewed this book without bias or persuasion from the author.
4 out of 5 stars
Both m/c were less than likable in the beginning. Emily runs a matchmaking business and was in need of money to expand her business. David is a billionaire who needs a wife. What could go wrong with this story? Happy to see the characters evolve into likable people. I liked the fact that this author ties up the loose ends and gives us a HEA ending. I would love to read more of her books.
