If they’d just stop moving “The Cheese.”
But things keep changing…
Most people are fearful of change, both personal and professional, because they don’t have any control over how or when it happens to them. Since change happens either to the individual or by the individual, Dr. Spencer Johnson, the coauthor of the multimillion bestseller The One Minute Manager, uses a deceptively simple story to show that when it comes to living in a rapidly changing world, what matters most is your attitude.
Exploring a simple way to take the fear and anxiety out of managing the future, Who Moved My Cheese? can help you discover how to anticipate, acknowledge, and accept change in order to have a positive impact on your job, your relationships, and every aspect of your life.

Fascinating how the book remains relevant over time. Your first impression may be that this book seems silly. But that is being overly simplistic. Keep your mind open!
Life is filled with ups and downs, and sometimes it feels like the only constant in life is change. This book taught me to roll with the punches, keep going, and follow my dreams, no matter what. And it almost made me like mice, but let’s not go that far! 🙂
The art of telling people why they should happily accept working three times as hard for less money.
I’ve read a ton of self-help type books. This little book is a treasure. It was recommended at work, but I’d recommend it for every citizen, working or not. A delight.
This book was a must read in a bank call center I worked in years ago. You know how we all feel when someone tells you that you have to read something especially an employer. Well I am glad I did. Learned a lot from this book. Read it. I think you will be pleasantly surprised.
A good look at how we adjust to change.
A big corporation bought out the place I worked at several years ago. They had all of us read it, & used it in meetings. My mil & I (who both worked there) still use it as an inside joke sometimes. It does help keep things in perspective, especially if you are a person who doesn’t do well with change.
It helped me learn to adapt. Insightful.
Love this book a fun business book
Love this book every manager should read this
I taught Interim Miinistry in the PCUSA system. This was one of my favorite books too use.
Who Moved My Cheese is a modern classic tale that sheds light on practical ways to deal with all the many changes in life . You are guided through a Maze with a ‘map’ so you can enjoy less anxiety and more success.
This was a book given out by a former employer, in an attempt to help staff learn to deal with life’s every increasing pace of change.
It is simple to understand, and if you are determined to survive in the future, is a must read.
Interesting story on how to deal with change. It held my interest and provided situational examples on change. Small story with big impact.
Good book to help get unstuck and deal with change.
I make reference to it all the time.
Older title now, but creative in its time for presenting novel ways of broadening perspectives in a rapidly changing environment. Though notably, corporate structures embraced this book and had employees read it in droves, I actually used it with my students in alternative school. They enjoyed it and were far more engaged than even I anticipated. Sparked great in-class discussions from which they determined to set up action steps for themselves to pursue new ways of thinking to reach for new goals.
Thought provoking
mind opening – made me look at life in a different way
This is one of the first books I read that helped me move beyond my routine, to start building my future reality. It will take you an hour or so to read it, and the message in the pages may stay with you a lifetime.
