This leads to a trek across the Great Plains, searching for a modern slavery ring, on a collision course with three of the most horrible villains Jack has ever faced.
But Jack, and her irritating buddy Harry McGlade, will face them, and much more. Because they’re prepared to go to hell and back to rescue an old friend.
The trick will be getting back in one piece. And—spoiler alert—they don’t.

Fabulous way to make your day look better. The long awaited return of these characters was not without edge of your seat gripping. With the new drama this book is what those of us who have followed Jack Daniels and her bizarre friends have been needing just the right fix and we finally find out what really happened to the ones left in the Mexico Deseret from the last encounter with Luther Knite . Amazing writing as expected and an amazing way to get us all back on track with Jack life and some of her skeletons.
This book is not for the weak hearted or easily disturbed by horrific violence. J.A. Konrarth takes it over the top with the latest Jack Daniels thriller. Jack Daniels, her husband Phineas, their daughter and Jack’s mom have been relocated and are living under assumed identities since the last book. Just when all seems to be going even keel Jack’s buddy Harry McGlade shows up and persuades her to go with him to rescue an old friend. Be prepared for the usual crazy ride in the RV and surprises as they ride to the rescue. Reread the first sentence again; then if you are game enjoy another book in the Jack Daniels series.
There had better be a Book 12 now! Talk about leaving the reader hanging. It has been so long since a Jack Daniels book, I had forgotten how much I like her and the background of her and Phin. Jack seems fairly “cold” in this story, and I had expected her to get past this somewhat. Great story regardless, and I’m looking for Book 12.
Typical Jack Daniels story. Lots of blood, killing, torture, guns with the goofy antics of Harry McGlade thrown in for comic relief.
If it wasn’t for McGlade, these books could be gruesome.
I know these characters. I’ve been with them through 11 books now. They are an acquired taste.
Needless to say, I enjoyed this book.
