“Entertaining, great character development, lots of twists and turns, even one of two parts I found funny. Great read for a lazy weekend or rainy day! Will definitely read more in this series!”Helping her aunt grow her floristry business has given a new purpose to Tracy’s life. She’s delighted to be introduced to a young entrepreneur who plans to open the trendiest restaurant in the Pacific … restaurant in the Pacific Northwest. The addition of her lily arrangement transforms a dull-looking room into a swanky functional space that has everyone responding in awe and admiration.
On the opening night of the restaurant, things take a sour turn when the jovial atmosphere is ruined by a rival restaurateur. Things go from bad to worse when the spouse of this rival is found dead.
Did something the deceased ate at the restaurant cause their death or something else?
The police arrest the young owner of the restaurant and make him their number one suspect. The rumor mill in Fern Grove is buzzing as the cause of the murder is discussed in every nook and corner in town.
Tracy is filled with pity and sadness as she watches this young man transform from a confident and passionate individual to a broken and bitter one.
Tracy knows how it feels to be wrongfully accused. The public court of opinion can be unforgiving in its verdict… even when the facts don’t add up. Can Tracy piece together clues that will reveal the truth and set this person free?

This series is exactly my kind off cozy mystery. They are fun, quick reads with just enough information to get to know the characters. The ending is always very much a surprise. There is some romance, but very little.
I enjoyed White Lily and a Fatal Chili. I was given a free copy of this audiobook at my request in exchange for an honest review. Tracy helps out Luke, a young man opening his restaurant. When a competitor’s wife dies during the opening Luke is arrested for the crime. Tracy works to solve the mystery of who killed the woman and how to get Luke back in business. I liked the narrator. I recommend this book.
White Lily and a Fatal Chili (Fern Grove #3), my fourth read from author Abby Reede & my third read in this series in the last 2 days. Well-written & enjoyable. another cute, clean cozy mystery with well-developed characters and detailed settings. I look forward to reading Freesia and Lethal Amnesia (Fern Grove Cozy Mystery Book 5). I was given an Audible copy of this book & am voluntarily reading & reviewing it. Narrator Elena Marino’s narration adds to the book’s enjoyment. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 – July 24, 2018).
This third book on the series has Tracie ,Tiffany and Aunt Rose trying to help a new restaurant owner update their decor before the opening. But when a competitor’s wife dies at the opening and the restaurant can’t open, the three try to figure out what happened so Luke can open. It’s fun to watch them. And Tracie may have romance in her future with the detective! We’ll see!
Loved this book. The characters and the story are entertaining and have a wonderful depth to them. Tracy and Warren are just realizing that they enjoy each other’s company. Tracy was in the right place at the right time to help Warren solve a murder.
Thank you for your review.
White Lily and a Fatal Chili emphasizes transformation. The local pastor encourages the transformation of Luke, a young man in Fern Grove who has a troubled past. Tracy’s flower magic transforms Luke’s budding restaurant from dull to happy and inviting. Of course, a murder occurs and Luke gets blamed. Tracy, Aunt Rose and Tiffany work through who poisoned the wife of Luke’s competition.
Abby Reade has created a fun cast of characters in Fern Grove. Join them for another adventure.
White Lily and a Fatal Chili is the third book in the Fern Grove Cozy Mystery series. I loved this entertaining cozy mystery. The characters are well developed and interesting while Tracy, Aunt Rose and Tiffany gain more character depth with each book. The storyline is well written and engaging, with humour, murder, twists and turns, and a bit of romance.
I am looking forward to reading more books in this series.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Great addition to the series!
Lots of twist and turns to keep me interested. Tracy tries to help an up and coming restaurateur open his new restaurant when the wife of the competition dies from food poisoning at the opening. Was it murder? Tracy, Aunt Rose, and Tiffany try to come to the rescue! Can they help before Luke’s chances of his dream are totally shattered? I’m really hooked on this series!
I received an ARC. This is my honest review.
I enjoyed this book immensely! Great characters and great storyline. There were so many twists and turns between all the characters that I didn’t want to put the book down. I like the direction Tracy and the detective are heading and hope a relationship blossoms between the two of them. I was very surprised to learn the identity of the killer as the person was not one of my suspects. Overall, a great new cozy. I hope to read more on how the characters develop and Tracy’s adventures in Forest Grove. Abby did a great job keeping me guessing. This is a feel good story. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.
The author has again given us the fantastic team of Tracy, Aunt Rose and Tiffany. Tracy and Tiffany meet Luke while volunteering at the community center. Luke is opening a restaurant and wants Tracy to help him with the decorating. While at the opening, one of the patrons is poisoned and the blame falls on Luke. Hopefully the girls can help save his dream of a restaurant.
