Well this author does it again!! I love all of the Loki men when the story is about them and I especially love revisiting their lives. The series moves from one book to the next seamlessly. This story is an emotional rollercoaster from start to finish. Murphy and Heidi deserve their HEA but will they get it with all the white lies being told? I can’t wait for the next installment of this series!!
This book. This friggin book made me tear up way more than I was expecting. Autumn brought her A-game and threw in twists I didn’t see coming. I’m a die hard fan of the Lost King series and an even bigger fan of Murphy. I love everything about this burly ginger! He and Heidi are so perfect. I adore their family dynamic and everything that surrounds them. Loved it!!
#dibsonmurphy
This is book 15 in the series and Murphy and Heidi’s happy after. It’s full of laughter and will have you cracking up with the guys. I was happy to see things worked out as they did and can’t wait to read more Lost Kings.
Phenomenal!!
Only this author has the ability to create a series where every book is so worth reading as every character has a purpose and is created to shine and stand on his own.
This is THE other royal wedding!!
Romantic, intense, and full of twists and turns, I could not put this book down.
I’ve been waiting for this moment for so long. I swear these characters are so well developed that I’ve enjoyed them seen them grow, fall in and out of love and I hang on to every new development.
Of course this author doesn’t just give a story she adds twist to said story.
There’s never a dull moment as new developments and new secrets are revealed.
I cannot wait to see what’s coming up next!
Be still my heart! Murphy is the sweetest, most caring, loyal, loving, alpha ever. I think he’s got all the guys beat with that big heart of his. Murphy’s really come into his own. I enjoyed his sarcastic side with his witty comments, comebacks and thoughts. Also, his love for Heidi, Alexa, and LOKI is undeniable and shines bright. Now, more then ever, Murphy is struggling with changes in the club. He is surprised how much faith his brother’s have in him to be a leader. Maybe this is due to his younger age, but I think part of that struggle and lack of confidence in his abilities is due to having crap parents growing up.
Heidi is still hurting from the past. She still feels massive guilt over her decisions from the time she got pregnant with Alexa til now. She can’t help but second guess all her current decisions after making so many, of what she feels are “mistakes,” in the past. She still goes through the woulda, coulda, shoulda scenarios and worries about disappointing everyone she loves. Especially when it comes to Alexa, which is natural and what makes her a good mom. Heidi has personally grown a TON since More Than Miles and she’s a real badass in this book. She does not back down from a challenge and she has become the ultimate ol’ lady. I didn’t expect anything less since she grew up around the club and has had some great mentors the last few years. One thing has never changed though, Heidi is still a gingerholic.
Heidi and Murphy are completely in tune with one another. Her and Murphy have been in love for so long, since they were kids and before they could even act on it, that they can read each others emotions and thoughts. But Heidi is still extremely young and it shows with some of her decisions and thought process. When she omits important information it contributes to already building issues the club and Murphy are dealing with. They are supposed to be getting married and starting their ginger baby making factory, but things come to a head and escalate quickly leaving everyone reeling and emotions high.
Being back with the LOKI crew was phenomenal as always. We also get to meet some new characters, which have sucked me in, wanting their stories too! Can’t wait to read them all in the future! My boo Rock is his typical, sexy, moody self in case you were wondering. #RockisMYfox #LostKings4Life
I can’t even begin to start with how much I love Heidi and Murphy. I feel like I’ve been waiting for this book for forever! I have to say, I didn’t expect a lot of things that happened in this book and that’s one of the reasons why I love Autumn. She always keeps us guessing and doesn’t always go down the most obvious path.
In every book you can tell how much Heidi has continues to grow as a mother, a sister and a girlfriend but she has really matured to a full woman in this book. She will move heaven and earth to protect and support her family. She is so strong and absolutely the most perfect woman to hold the position of Murphy’s old lady. She literally kicked a** in this book. Murphy is such a loyal man and I’ve just grown to love him so much throughout this series. He absolutely adores Heidi and Alexa and there’s not a thing he wouldn’t do for them. He and Heidi have built such a strong relationship and considering everything they have gone through, they really deserved to be happy with each other. They finally got their wedding, though slightly unconventional, it didn’t matter. They just wanted to finally be the family they both wanted to be for so long.
I’m very excited to read more about the support club. I think it’s a great idea for LOKI and a great way to bring in more loyal guys to have their backs. I definitely enjoyed Eraser and Ella and would love to see more of them. I feel that there is also a very interesting story to be told between Molly and Griff too! Autumn continues to build such great characters it’s hard not to love them all and continuously want to know more.
***SPOILERS AHEAD***
I’m so happy with Murphy’s new position. He 100% deserves it and I know he and Heidi will make everyone proud with their new roles.
I absolutely loved this book and just like usual, Autumn had me on the edge of my seat. I was angry at times, I laughed a lot, I cried more than I probably should but that’s always how I know it was a good book. One that I don’t just read but one that I feel. Autumn did it again with this one. No surprise there!
The beautiful Lost King Saga Continues! White Lies is another great story in the collection!
White Lies is a well-written captivating story! One of the many things I like about AJL’s writing and this series is that I cannot ever predict what direction she will take the story line. Just when I think I have it figured out, it changes. White Lies does the same. It starts out making us think it is going to be a sweet story about the wedding of Murphy and “Little Hammer” Heidi, but we find the road isn’t paved in bliss. Nope! Club business intercedes and Heidi finds herself being black mailed. All of which alter their course. But it doesn’t curb the depths of their love. Cue the swoon! And the steam! Holy hotness!
Murphy wants nothing more than to marry Heidi. He’s definitely a character that has proven to be patient. Waiting through the years while Heidi grew up and years with Axel. All the while, his love for her has never faltered.
“Heidi smiles at me from across the room. The smile that’s owned my heart for as long as I can remember.”
Both of them are done waiting and ready to become a family.
“The roots, family, and stability I’ve longed for my entire life are within reach.”
Until it’s not. Trouble brews. These two will encounter things they don’t want, nor do they think they are ready to handle. But we already know what bad a$$e$ these two are, so it makes for an interesting journey!!
I like that we get to see the softer, more sensitive side of Murphy and that he proudly wears his heart on his sleeve in this book. The thought he put into getting Heidi the perfect graduation present and his continuous thoughts of how he can be there for her on a daily basis are double swoon worthy!!
Heidi understands the weight and pressure the club puts on Murphy. He has his hands full and she doesn’t want to add to that burden by telling Murphy about her black mailer. However, when he finds out that someone is trying to hurt her and she didn’t tell him, it devastates him. Heidi soon learns that…
“Sometimes the biggest lies are the ones we tell ourselves.”
These two will have to figure out their new roles in the club and with each other.
“Life isn’t always beautiful. It’s not perfect. It’s messy. But when you have the right person with you, it’s a beautiful ride.”
I’ve always enjoyed the Lost King characters because they have such great depth to them. They truly seem to live and breathe. And I really, really loved the banter between the members. There were parts in this book that had me giggling aloud and parts where I was completely tearing up. GAH!
As the Lost Kings series continues we get some questions answered, but in true AJL form….some are still unanswered. And of course new questions arise too. AJL has no problems leaving us hanging! LOL!! I’m eagerly waiting for the next visit with the Lost Kings!!
This has been and continues to be a fantastic series I highly recommend.
I read an ARC of this book. My fair and honest review is voluntary.
***ARC Reader Review***
“Sometimes the biggest lies are the ones we tell ourselves.” And boy were there a lot of white lies in this book. I loved every minute of it.
I have be waiting (not so patiently) for White Lies to drop and Autumn Jones Lake did not disappoint. Autumn is an amazing author and I’m a fan for life.
White Lies is Book 15 in her Lost Kings MC series. Murphy and Heidi’s story has always been bumpy and emotional even as far back as in More Than Miles (LOKI MC Book 6). They have had so much to fight for (and against) that I knew their Lost Kings wedding could never be simple. It was wonderful to see the growth of these characters. Heidi is such a little badass!!!
I also loved that I got to meet some new and old characters. So many new story ideas I can’t wait to see who gets their own book next (Rooster…fingers crossed ) As always, I recommend you read Autumn’s other books in the Lost Kings MC series to get the full story. It will help with context and understanding of characters. #KingsForever #ForeverKings #LostKingsMC
I just finished White Lies.
IT. WAS. EVERYTHING.
I hope Autumn never runs out of story’s for this cast of Outlaws because I’m never going to tire of reading about them.

Welp, that epilogue has me all in my feels now! Lol Autumn did a phenomenal job as usual with this book! I loved Murphy and Heidi’s story and seeing them get their HEA after all the crap with jackaxel fills me with joy! Heidi has matured so beautifully as a young woman and mother and puts her daughter before everyone, including herself. She busts her a*s to get through school, while doing placements, working with trinity, raising her daughter and being a bada*s* old lady to Murphy! The love she has for him makes my heart happy! Murphy is soooo sweet, loving, protective, thoughtful and a bada*s in his own right! The way he loves and cherishes Heidi has me grinning like a fool! I swear Autumn makes me love each man more with every book! The LOKI guys are like Pringle’s, you can’t have just one! LMAO Seriously though, this book had twists and turns that were unexpected and painful, but I love the way the story flows and builds more and more for the future! Honestly if I was told I could only pick one series to read for the rest of my life, that the author would just keep continuing until I die, it would be this one! It’s like coming home every time a new book releases. The LOKI gang are like family and I love watching them grow! Awesome book!
First, I have to start by saying that I absolutely love the Lost Kings MC world Mrs. Lake has created. I have enjoyed all of her books and will continue to preorder/one click any book she writes.
This book made me laugh out loud many times, I cried, and in the end I was left smiling. This was an entertaining, emotional, and heartwarming journey to go on with Heidi and Murphy. I enjoyed this story immensely.
Oh my! It made me cry! Heidi’s speech!
I’ve never cried in a book before! Tears of joy Then Alexa, my heart was breaking. I don’t want to give anything away. Just love this series. Now I’m going to read the standalones because I didn’t catch on about the Ultimate reading order Thank you Autumn
Leaves You Wanting So Much More… I love Murphy and Heidi! Next to Rock and Hope, they are my favorite Lost Kings couple. I look forward to visiting with my favorite ginger alpha every single book, even if it’s only a glimpse. And Autumn Jones Lake never disappoints, giving me my fix of this giant, grizzly bear biker with the wit of Loki, and a heart of gold.
Heidi and Murphy’s story has been a joy to watch. A true, coming of age, tale of two young, insecure souls, with hearts marked by childhood abuse and neglect. Both fighting for the life, and love, they’ve always dreamt of. It has been a tale about overcoming fear, learning to trust inner instincts, tuning out other people’s overbearing demands and unreasonable expectations, and learning from mistakes made. And where “More Than Miles” was about watching both Heidi and Murphy come to terms with their pasts and overcoming said obstacles, this book, the aptly titled, “White Lies”, is about what happens once you make the decision to live beyond your past but your past sneaks up on you nonetheless. A story about what happens to love and trust, and everything in-between, when instead of communicating openly, spouses instead give into fear, resort to hiding, and shouldering things for the “protection” of the other, and ultimately lying to themselves.
Within the pages of “White Lies” we see a stronger, more mature, much more capable and fiercely protective Heidi! We are also treated to a more analytical, disciplined Murphy. A man who has grown in his own power and capabilities, while maintaining his openly loving and teddy bear-like love and protection of his family. However, we also see, that despite ALL this growth, exists a mountain of lingering insecurities. Insecurities that lead them both toward paths of choosing to shoulder burdens alone rather than as a team. Choices that threaten to unravel them completely as a couple, compromise Heidi’s safety, and cause horrifying harm to Murphy and endangering his very life!
This couple epitomizes for me the survival of a broken soul. Their story is an exploration of the truth of the emotionality childhood abuse survivors endure when rebuilding their lives. Here Lake realistically portrays life’s messier moments. She explores how decisions made in youth, out of fear, can ripple to tsunami levels of catastrophe, leaving life long consequences in their wake. She bravely portrays these stories. Writing gritty, messy, real-life scenarios within the LOKI landscape in provocative, soul churning ways, that make you think deeply. And for me, Murphy and Heidi are the absolute heart of what the Lost Kings are truly about at its very soul, love, loyalty, family, overcoming all the odds life throws your way, and creating the life you truly want.
And it is because of this devotion by Lake. This devotion to use these two as the symbol for the true healing power of this brotherhood. The care she’s taken to inlay Murphy and Heidi, with purpose, in almost every LOKI installment, that I’m consistently perplexed as to why her installments devoted strictly to them come across unusually choppy. Why, in comparison to other couple’s stories within the series Murphy and Heidi’s story feels rushed and unfinished. More so than any other book in the series.
Here again, as with their first book, I am enormously conflicted about “White Lies” because Murphy and Heidi’s story is so very intricate. Such a big, multifaceted tale to tell, full of winding roads and equally winding emotions it could easily fill three or even four books. And even though this book begins with Lake’s typical exquisitely paced, detail rich, character and scenario building, the second half feels rushed, and incomplete.
Additionally, despite actually liking the direction she takes Murphy and Heidi’s tale. I still leave it feeling as though It deserved to be more. It deserved to be afforded the same care and detail as Zero and Rock’s. And although the story given is a beautiful one, one I cherished despite it’s brevity. I left the last page wanting so much more…
The Lost Kings MC series is one of the best I have read. A must read!
Whenever I start a LOKI book I tell myself that I’m not going to cry, but I have no idea why I think that because that’s how a book gets a 5-star review from me, by tugging on my emotions. It’s futile to think that because most of the time I’m so into the book I don’t even know I’m crying until I feel the tears falling down my cheek. The laugh out loud moments are more frequent because of the way all the LOKI men pick on each other out of love. Although Heidi gets some good ones in there along with the other LOKI women. I’ve always loved Heidi’s character, even when she was being a bratty teen, because I understood the hurt underneath. To see her go from that annoying child to a fierce momma bear that did anything and everything for Alexa made me misty eyed more than once. To see her and Murphy’s love was heart warming because the wedding was finally going to happen, but getting there was the journey you have to experience for yourself. It always makes me sad to finish a LOKI book, but happy I was able to check in with family. I highly recommend this book that will leave you with a very warm feeling and some questions too. But what would a LOKI book be without some questions left up in the air? Enjoy!!
Every time a LOKI book is released it feels like a homecoming of sorts. There is nothing I love more than being immersed in this world and peeling back more layers of these beloved characters.
In this series, we get the exploration of relationships after a traditional HEA. Life is messy, ugly and hard, even after you find your person. Hedi and Murphy have come a long way since they were first introduced. They have grown so much as individuals and as a couple, but they still struggle with insecurities and demons from their past. When the truth comes to light these two have to learn to lay down their pride and fight for the relationship they want. Hedi and Murphy each have their messy/ugly side and together they must learn to accept each other, willing to be vulnerable with each other and trust that they will always have each other back. What they continue to learn, it isn’t about being right or who is stronger, instead, it’s about doing life together and leaning on each other during difficult seasons in their lives.
I will also say that Murphy has always been a character that I’ve been a bit indifferent too. No real strong feelings either way, but Autumn did what I thought was impossible, she made me fall in love with this character. He truly was heart-melting and finally wormed is way into this heart.
And 15 books into this series and Autumn still keeps it fresh and interesting. She does a phenomenal job of interweaving all of our favorite characters (and some new ones) into each book without feeling trivial or forced. Everything is written has a purpose and a meaning and we see how this world/characters continue to change and evolve.
Little white lies, are still lies.
Murphy and Heidi have been through everything, and have come out on the otherside. now it is time for their wedding.
We get to visit with everyone, see how they are all doing.
Really love this series
AJL keeps hitting it out of the park…GREAT read, if you love reading about MC’s this series will NOT disappoint.
AJL has out done herself with White Lies! I am a die hard LOKI fan for life and I am so thankful that she keeps providing more stories! Murphy and Heidi’s story played on my emotions but my heart was overflowing with their love in the end. As always catching up with the LOKI men is always the icing on the cake for me! I am thrilled that AJL has lots more LOKI in store for us! Bring it on!
I’m a big fan of the Lost Kings MC series. This book is about Murphy and Heidi. The ups and downs of life and relationships. I’m a woman who has been a motorcycle rider for over 20 years…but I’ve never been in an outlaw biker club. I’ve had many men tell me that I should be on the back of my husband’s rather than ride my own. I’m a woman not afraid to stand up and own my strength. It takes a special man to allow their woman to flourish. I love the way that Autumn Lake Jones writes. Her women characters are strong yet still feminine. And the men are alphas yet they love and cherish their women. It’s great and I can’t wait for the next book in the series.
Autumn your amazing once again!!!! I absolutely loved this book as I always say after reading one lol. Her books are amazing, the characters you fall in love with. The banter back and forth is so real and genuine you’ll laugh out loud you can’t help it. You feel what the characters feel, laugh, and cry with or for them.
The characters come to life like “real “people or “family” you can’t
wait to read what happens next for them!!
If you haven’t read her books yet your definitely missing out and won’t be disappointed!!!
