He has her heart. She has a secret. He had been my secret. He’d held my heart and gave me his until I shattered them both. Now Killian was back, my sanctuary while I worked on a case that threatened my life, and the only place to hide was with him.Claire had been the only future I wanted, but she’d cut me off and never told me why. Fate had now thrown us back together and granted us a second … granted us a second chance. But there was something she couldn’t tell me, and I wasn’t sure who would need saving in the end.
A past loaded with a painful secret. A future both of them crave. But will love be enough?
Part of the Callaghan Green series but can easily be read as a standalone.

Killian and Claire have a past that no one knows about. Since Killian is Max’s best friend, a friend that shouldn’t ever date your sister but things happen. They were doing great till something happened and Claire didn’t want to have to change things for anyone’s future but she made a choice for all without talking to anyone. She ghosted Killian and then saw him years later and since he was still best friends with her brother they would be mean or ignored each other till Claire took on a case that was or could be dangerous and Killian and Claire were getting close again and being nice. She knows she has to tell him why she stop everything and she is hoping he will understand and see that she did it out of love and wanting for him to have his life. Great book. Lots of ups and downs.
Killian and Claire had a lot of tension in the previous book. It was jaw dropping as to why. I didn’t see it coming. This book was full of lust. Love and drama. Between her job and her love life, it was always one thing happening. I enjoyed this book just as much as the other and love the family!
This book caught my eye because I am a sucker for an ex military 2nd chance romance. Now I want to go back and read the first book, and anxiously wait for the third to be released. I really liked the character development and the family connections. Claire was living but not really…she is a successfully lawyer and loves her family. Years ago, she loved and lost Killian, who after his military career ended came back to town and started a protective services company with his brother. Since Killian is best friends with Claire’s brother, they are around each other. But Claire has a secret. When Claire is threatened, the spark rekindles….and does it ever!
Just the right amount of suspense and hotness and dedication.
Good read!
White Knight by Annie Dyer is a beautifully written second chance romance. Killian and Claire’s story is full of suspense, secrets, heartbreak and forgiveness. I really loved this book and wasn’t able to put it down. It will grip your heart and take you on an emotional roller coaster ride. I highly recommend this book!
Former friends and lovers, Claire and Killian are thrown together when Claire’s client needs protection. What Claire doesn’t want is Killian’s protection as she can’t forget him and she has a secret that could ruin any relationship they ever had. When circumstances force them together, she knows she has to tell him the secret she has carried around for years, even if it causes her to lose Killian once and for all.
This is a great five star read and I can’t wait for the next book in the series!
This second chance story is everything you need. I felt confused when Claire finally let Killian back into her life, especially since Killian never knew why she let him go to begin with. Hearing Claire tell him why, broke my heart, but Killian was amazing with her. These two were meant for each other. There is some suspense in this book, but not in the way you normally would find it.
Awesome read this is a second chance romance.Claire and Killian had a secret relationship 13 year’s ago. Then suddenly Claire ended it .Now 13 years later they have another chance to work things out a see where it goes. Lots of feels and suspense in this book
4.5 Stars for this second chance romance!
This is one of those books I couldn’t put down. I loved how Claire and Killian got their second chance, but more than that, I loved Killian. He made me swoon too many times to count. I loved how he was always protecting Claire, even if she wasn’t always “his.”
I also enjoyed the strong family bond in this book. It’s great to see how the siblings not only get along, but rile each other up. I laughed quite a bit at their antics.
