I have read the Iron Orchid series and was looking forward to this next series. Was not disappointed! Book’em Sadie was funny and a great story, can’t wait for the next one!
4.5 Star review of Book’em Sadie (Iron Badges#1) by Danielle Norman
I was intrigued with these women after reading Badges Prequel which was an introduction to the series. This is Sadie Lazar’s story, a motorcycle deputy and Dr Ryan Montgomery story .
I really enjoyed how independent, feisty and determined Sadie is. She knows what she wants and goes after it, needing no man to help her. She is a strong woman and when she meets single dad and widower Ryan at the scene of a horrendous car accident, she feels the spark of attraction igniting.
Losing her mother as a young child, Sadie mentors children who have lost parents, something she is particularly good at since she knows from experience the pain and heartache, not to mention loneliness that it causes. Will Sadie be prepared to risk her heart for Ryan and his daughter Callie who is a feisty little girl whom I adored..
The pain and grief that Ryan has been through is palpable whilst reading and the worry he feels falling for someone in law enforcement brings it all to the surface again. Can he take a chance on love?
This story certainly had it’s emotional moments and brought out a range of feelings as I felt as though I was riding a roller coaster. I loved the relationships Sadie has with her friends and the support they offer was inspiring.
I am really looking forward to seeing where Danielle Norman takes this series.
I love this book. I received this as an ARC and I am so glad that I did. It is a wonderful story. You will not be disappointed. I cant wait to read more of Danielle Norman’s books.
Book’em Sadie is one fabulous read. I couldn’t and didn’t want to put it down. I love how Danielle Norman brings us some kickbutt females and even little mini one’s too. Sadie is amazing. She has to be one of my favorites. And man can you feel the sparks between Ryan and Sadie from the start. This book is filled with love and drama to boot. Callie is a little spitfire that will steal your heart. I’m just going to leave it at that because you really NEED to meet Ryan, Callie and Sadie yourself. Fall in love alond side with them. Meet the rest of the ladies of the Iron Badges. What are you waiting for already? Go one click this book and find out for yourself why I love Book’em Sadie so much. I can’t wait for more in this series to come.
Wow! What can I say about this book. Danielle Norman is such a fantastic writer and has such independent, strong female characters. After becoming a fan of the Iron Orchids, I was glad that the series has been continued on. The chemistry between Sadie and Ryan is phenomenal and on point. If there is a book you need to add to your list, it’s this one as I could not put it down. I love the way her other characters are incorporated into this book to keep the connection. Well done!!
Book’em Sadie is a hilarious, drama-filled story based off of a strong, level-headed motorcycle cop, Sadie and a hot as sin, smart as hell Doctor, Ryan. Ryan is a widow with a 6 year old daughter. When drama starts to happen with the in-laws, Sadie starts to question their stability and if they can survive the drama.
This book had me laughing so hard!! I fell in love with the new characters that were introduced in this series beginner. Danielle really has me laughing out loud at the back and forth between the characters.
Book’em Sadie is filled with hilarious jabs, hot doctors and cops, drama, and feel good friendships. This book is a must-read. The characters really stick with you. If anybody would have been watching me while I read this, they would’ve thought I was crazy while I was hyena-cackling at my phone!!
All around, read this book. You will not regret it.
Strong, independent motorcycle deputy meets handsome ER Dr. with child. This was a good read with a good story. I kept telling myself “1 more chapter” until I couldn’t hold my eyes open anymore, I just needed to know what was coming next. There are so many dynamics at play in this book and they were all wrapped up nicely in the end.
I was given an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review.

I really enjoyed this book. Could hardly put it down to even attempt to do anything today. I mean who doesn’t love some kick-a$$ women??
I love Sadie and Ryan. They both have one thing in common that no one wants, having lost someone that they love. How it has effected them and their lives is kind of the backbone of the story in my opinion. How they are able to come together and start a life together is great. There were times I felt that the story was a little rushed but I loved the plot and the characters so much it was just a little blip that I can over look. I would definitely recommend this book and I can’t wait for the rest of the series to come out. If you like strong women, like to laugh and love a nice HEA this is a good book to add to your TBR.
I have been so excited to read this book ever since I read the ‘Badges Prequel’ book. Danielle Norman always has the best character development. She writes about real women, who are strong, independent, and badass.
Sadie is one of few women who are on the motorcycle team of the Orange County police department. Ryan is an ER doctor who meets Sadie through their jobs. Their story is unique and interesting. They both have struggles to overcome and through being with each other are able to find the strength to overcome them. I absolutely love how Danielle wrote about the role of a step parent in this book. There are some really amazing ones, who step up and fill the precarious role amazingly well.
I also love that she included Coco, Ringo, and Bananas and was able to include her other characters from the Iron Orchids realm.
LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!! If you love a good romance and a great story line don’t pass this one up!
A•R•C ~ I was given Book ‘Em Sadie by Danielle Norman as an Advanced Readers Copy (A•R•C). I voluntarily read and reviewed this book.
5 out of 5 Stars
Book ‘Em Sadie is the first book in the Iron Badges Series, great characters, amazing story line and good plot twists.
Sadie lost her Mom when she was 4 years old and now as an adult helps children who are missing one or both parents, she mentors at Kidz Klub once or twice a week when her schedule allows. She meets Ryan who is an ER Doctor during an accident that happened right outside the hospital he works at. Attraction is strong at first site, and its been 4 years since Ryan’s wife was killed in a car accident took her from him and their daughter Callie. Callie is a strong independent little girl who wants to be GI Jane instead of a princess.
Again great characters that make me laugh out loud just when I needed it the most.
I’ll definitely recommend this book.
Nobody writes a heroine quite like Danielle Norman. Sadie has the sass and the brass to bring a man to his knees. She’s one tough cookie and I love that about her. So what happens when this tough as nails deputy risks her her heart on a widower afraid of the damage another loss can do to his already fragile heart? Sparks fly, drama unfolds and heartache ensues. It’s a wild ride to forever, but what a way to go.
I absolutely Loved this book. Sadie is so down to earth and such a amazing soul. Ryan is so sweet and a really great father. Callie is just so awesome and sweet a real sweetheart. Glad they both got there happy ending and that Sadie has a great group of friends which you don’t get anymore in the world anymore.
