Let me start off by saying this is a new to me author. I WON this book from said author. Thank you!) Honestly, I’m not sure I would have heard of this book otherwise.
I loved this one though!
So much!
I highly recommend it! And now I can hardly wait for the next story in this series!
Sadie is a motor police deputy with a 3 pound poodle. Meaning she’s an officer who rides a motorcycle with a kickbutt outfit but ugly boots. (According to her anyways.) Ryan is a hot doctor. Also a single father to a sweet girl. (I love single father stories.)
The little girl wants to be GI Jane.
She’s six.
She takes an Uber all by herself.
Has a BOLO out for her twice.
Add 3 grandmas.
Sounds like a great story, right?
An awesome book from an awesome author. Danielle Norman knocked it out of the park again. Great characters and lots of familiarity from previous series.
Loved the start to what I’m sure will be another wonderful series!
Another great start to a series. I love these characters and cant wait to see what Danielle has in store for the rest of the Badges. Sadie is a tough as nails kind of girl and I loved her as soon as I started reading. Callie is just adorable. Ryan has a lot on his plate but manages to handle it all pretty well. And you cant forget Wasabi. That dog is the Bomb.
I absolutely love everything about this book. A great start to a new series full of strong heroines!
Keep ’em coming, Dani!
Book’ em Sadie by Danielle Norman is book 1 in the Iron Badges series. We meet Sadie Lazar- a motorcycle deputy and Dr Ryan Montgomery- a doctor and widowed father- this is their story .
This is another sensational story with a strong woman and an alpha male. This has great humor, steamy romance, good friendship and that strong family bond. The plot is great and I don’t want to give anything away so just know Sadie and Ryan will keep you guessing and glued from start to finish. I enjoyed the characters, the plot and the sweet chemistry. I can’t wait for book 2 in this new series.
My Rating: 4.5 stars ********
“Book’Em Sadie” (Iron Badges Book 1) by Danielle Norman is a terrific read. I loved Sadie and Ryan’s story. This story hooked me from page one. A great follow-up to the prequel “Badges”, packed with entertaining characters, humor, close friends, romance, passion, law enforcement, drama, and more. I can’t wait to see what happens next with this interesting and entertaining cast of characters. Highly recommend to all fans of romance, humor, law enforcement, and series.
Love it! Every single one of her books are different but equally fabulous. The only constants are strong women and sexy men who love them. No other author can touch her plot originality.
The new gang is here!!! I have been so excited over this new group of amazing chicks. Danielle Norman brought her signature LOL, funny and characters that are simply amazing!
I loved the main characters, but Callie was amazing too! This series is going to be a hit! I highly recommend it!
Here we go again! If you’ve read the Iron Orchids series you know the girls get down and dirty with fun and never fail to have a good time, or have each others backs. With this spin off series we still get a few of the original Orchids on the wild girls nights, but now it’s all about the badges. Piper, Harley, Kat, Bridgett, & Sadie are all about being kick ass, strong, independent woman making a name for themselves in the police department.
Sadie lost her mom when she was 4 years old, so when she is sent out to find Callie on a missing child alert they find they have something in common when Callie tells her that she has an Angel Mommy too. Little does Sadie know that Callie father is the Dr. McHottie she met on scene just a few days before.
A great read all the way around. Can’t wait to see what the rest of the #NotAGang gets themselves into.
Danielle has done it again! She has written another fantastic book in what looks to be another great series!
Sadie and Ryan were great together! Sadie is a motorcycle deputy and Ryan’s a widowed doctor. They meet at a multiple car accident and again when she’s called out on a missing child report. That child is Ryan’s daughter Callie. Sadie fell for both of them. They could have something good but Ryan’s family drama comes between them. Will they be able to get through it and be together?
Book’Em Sadie was a fantastic book that I couldn’t put down! I absolutely loved it! I can’t wait for the next book in the Iron Badges series! Thank you Danielle for another great story!
4.5 Stars
Hands-down this author can write a drama filled book with witty banter infused throughout!! I love Ryan and Sadie‘s chemistry and back and forth through the whole book. Sadie is a kicka** deputy for the motorcycle division. Ryan is a sexy as sin ER doctor that has a cute as a button little girl. The turning point in their relationship is when Sadie saves Ryan’s daughter and becomes friends with her because they each have experienced the loss of their mother at a tender age. Drama ensues when the people in Ryan’s life don’t want to let him move on from his deceased wife. Will Ryan say to hell with all of the naysayers and put his heart back out there? Will Sadie take a chance on a widower and expose herself to a chance of heartbreak? I love this first installment of the series, I can’t wait to read the next one.
If you love sarcasm, crass remarks and dirty Luther females, this book is for you!!
Hands down, this author has the most hysterical, crass, and smart eleck characters I have ever read. She has this world created of women that are total bad**ses and they don’t let let anyone run over them. She creates a world of humor, close friendships, and straight up family til the end. I laugh so much when reading these books because all of the outlandish remarks and situations she creates. This author is one I highly recommend to those who enjoy some romcom with hilariousness and sarcastic bitch**. Her storylines are always spot on, her characters are always strong and don’t take any crap, and friends are always there no matter what. I absolutely love all of her books and how she incorporates her past characters into her most recent books. Amazing job Danielle Norman!!
Ryan and Sadie are these amazing characters who have been through a lot. Combine that with one little girl, Callie and a crazy mixed up family, and you have this crazy story of love, second chances, romance and the theme of a close knit family. One click this book NOW!!!
As a fan of the Iron Orchids Series, and after reading the prequel I was eager to dive into Sadie’s story. Norman’s writing style continues to provide female characters representing strong women who support and love one another. You will want to be friends with these ladies; trust me! In Book’Em Sadie we meet Dr Ryan Montgomery, a man whose overcome one of life’s worst tragedies and I’ll admit as a reader be prepared with Kleenex as this mans story will have you tearing up! Sadie, one of the newest ladies to join the Motors Dept. continues to find herself coming face to face with this Hot Doctor and his adorable daughter. Just when she starts to think she can’t get enough, having her life’s work at risk may be what makes her walk away.
This book will send you through a roller coaster of emotions including fear, frustration, and laughter as the Iron Orchids are known to bring. Overall I’m pleased with the introduction of this new series, and I’m eager to continue getting to know the members of the IO Badges chapter.
I absolutely loved this book. Ryan and Sadie both have stressful jobs and meet when they least expect it. She is a motorcycle cop and he is a doctor. When she is the first to respond to an accident that occurs right in front of the hospital where he works, they meet and are drawn to each other. He is surprised, because his wife died four years prior and he hasn’t been interested in anyone since.
When Sadie gets a call about a missing child, she rushes to look for her. When she finds her, she is relieved and can’t believe the father is Ryan. His little girl is the sweetest and falls in love with Sadie almost immediately. As they navigate getting to know each other, they are both happy and are grateful that his daughter likes Sadie.
When his ex mother in law starts causing trouble, not bringing her granddaughter back on time, feeding her things she isn’t supposed t0, etc., Ryan struggles with the relationship. Once she finds out that he has started dating Sadie, she gets worse and starts planting wrong information in his daughters mind. He tries to tolerate the blatant disregard for his rules, until DCFS gets called on him and Sadie.
The emotions that were thoughout this book were realistic. Ryan was grieving while taking care of his daughter. Sadie thought she was happy until she met Ryan. Unfortunately, when DCFS gets called, their happy bubble bursts and they might not be able to come back from it. How much effort they are willing to put in to their relationship will determine their future.
I understand that his ex in-law’s were still grieving, but I got so frustrated and ticked off at some of the stuff they pulled. Even thinkng that you might not see your grandchild as much as you want doesn’t give you the right to do some of the things his ex mother-in-law did. I did like how that part of the book was resolved.
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest, voluntary review.
Book em Sadie (Iron Badges #1)- Danielle Norman
With a strong, forthright female lead character, Sadie, and the gorgeous but grieving hot doctor, Ryan, Boom Em Sadie caught me completely by surprise.
Danielle Norman has written a cleverly concocted story, with witty banter, funny situations and enough emotional clout to keep the reader turning the pages.
A genuinely fun read and a series I’ll now be following for its well crafted characters and their cleverly written back stories.
I’ll definitely be seeking out more work by Danielle Norman.
When a multiple vehicle accident bring Deputy Sadie Lazar and Dr. Ryan Montgomery together, it feels up old memories for for Dr. Montgomery. As time goes on and he takes a chance on love again, he realizes that that Sadie’s line of work could end up with him in heartbreak all over again. I love this new series and I’m excited to see what the series has in store.
Sadie is a kick butt take charge kind of lady, that works as a motorcycle deputy. When she has a chance run in with Ryan, a doctor at the local ER, he leaves a lasting impression. The moment that she ends up saving his daughter, that means it’s fate. Is it too soon for Ryan to move on from his wife? Can the two make something work with all the drama that seems to ensue?
This was a great introduction to the Iron Badges series. With some drama, nice naughty bits, and some really cute moments, this ending up being very entertaining. I give this 4 stars.
After reading Iron Orchids, I was so looking forward the the Iron Badges series. And let me say, I was not let down. You similarities with the Orchids, the twisted sense of humor (yes Stella was my favorite in the Iron Orchids books) to jumping to conclusions. We continue to get our hot doctors and smoking times between the sheets. Sadie and Ryan are perfect for each other and I can’t wait to see what is next with the ladies….
A new group of #notagang strong women to read and enjoy. Welcome to the Iron Badges.
First up is Sadie Lazar, the newest motorcycle deputy in Orange County. Although she meets a lot of people for her job, she never expected to find love. Dr. Ryan Montgomery, a widower with a elementary school aged child named Callie, wasn’t looking for love. When Ryan and Sadie meet, the attraction is instant. Callie seems to be a muse of cupid because she somehow gets her dad and Sadie together often. Callie’s antics, along with the rest of the Iron Badges and a few appearances by some Orchids, make for a fully enjoyable story that will put a smile on your face at the end.
Ryan and Sadie sizzle across the pages and their fondness for Callie shines through every page. I cannot wait for more in this series.
