4.25 Stars – This book has much more heart and depth than I excepted. Sadie is a feisty, tough, and caring motorcycle deputy. When she isn’t riding her Harley, she hangs with her vivacious and loyal girlfriends, that can engage in some raunchy conversations. Unexpectedly, Sadie meets a hot ER doc. Dr. Ryan Montgomery is a widower raising his young daughter, Callie, with the help of his mother and intrusive mother-in-law.
Their relationship brings out the fun in Ryan, the motherly instinct of Sadie and the lust in them both. Dating doesn’t come easy for this busy doctor and single father of a high-spirited daughter, who is set on having Sadie as her new mommy. When things blow-up with his in-laws, things don’t look too promising for Sadie and Ryan.
There is humor (vidi, vici, veni) and some very moving moments especially the conversation between Sadie and her stepmother. Overall, an entertaining and moving storyline.
The language and sex scenes were a little too much for me.
Very funny tale of strong, capable women in law enforcement. Romantic and inspiring love story.
It was not as exciting as I was expecting but it was still good
Interesting characters. Female motorcycle cop meets single dad doctor. Interfering in-laws
Danielle Norman’s BOOK’EM SADIE is and original novel – in concept and characters. It centers around, Sadie, a motorcycle deputy in Florida. Sadie and her friends are non-traditional women in non-traditional careers. For those of us who have never been in law enforcement, Norman gives the readers a look into the many facets of how the sheriff’s department works. The LOL moments out- numbered the somberness of growing up without a mom (or dad).
Good story. Great characters.
Good but a bit too much swearing
Was convoluted with the different characters jumped all over the place.
Amazing!
I enjoyed this book very much. It had some action, real dialogue and not too much ridiculous wishy washiness.
Six stars! Laugh-out-loud funny!
Sorry that I could not give this book more than two stars. I really liked the two main characters but the in-laws were just too far over the top. The ending was predictable and getting a lawyer way too obvious by the middle of the book.
Great read! Couldn’t put it down until I finished the book.
Some of the scenes and lines had me really laughing, others going ‘awww’ Really fun and a great pace.
Sadie and Ryan meet when there’s an accident in from of the hospital. Sadie’s a motorcyle cope and ryan is a doctor. He’s widowed and has a 6 year old doctor. She’s enamored with Sadie cause she’s everything Callie wants to be. But the ex mother-in-law and sister-in-law are trying to stop this budding relationship and manipulating callie. So much going on. Excellent read.
This was my first Danielle Norman book but won’t be my last. I buddy read this book with a friend and we had a great time discussing. Sadie and her group of friends, several who are also deputies, kept us laughing. Great characters! I pre-ordered book 2 as soon as I saw it available and am getting ready to jump in.
This book is awesome.
This was the first book I have read by this author and I really enjoyed it. I liked the attraction between Sadie and Ryan. I liked the relationship that Sadie had with Ryan’s daughter, Callie. I can’t wait for more books in this series, looking forward to the stories of Sadie’s friends and coworkers.
At first I got a little confused with all the character names thrown at you in the beginning…but I love how these groups of women intertwine throughout multiple series. Book em Sadie is about a female motorcycle cop, the struggle she goes through to be in that position and to maintain it while falling in love with a sexy doctor, whose ex-mother in law is trying to sabotage her life! Will their love be strong enough to get them through, or was the relationship just too new to withstand….yeah I couldn’t stop turning the pages to find out, so I’m not telling!
