New York Times bestselling author Meghan March continues the story of untold truths and one man’s redemption in the Dirty Mafia Duet.I never expected to be anyone’s white knight. That’s not a role I’ve ever played. But when the Casso crime family shifts into uncharted territory, they’re looking for a new hero, and they’re looking for me—Cannon Freeman, the black sheep. But my time in disgrace is at … sheep.
But my time in disgrace is at an end.
It’s my turn to rise up and save the people who matter most to me.
Even if my family has never given a damn about me, I will not let them fall.
More than anything, I will not let her fall.
White Knight is the second book in the Dirty Mafia Duet and should be read after Black Sheep, book one.

It’s here. The conclusion of the duet. I’m equal parts satisfied and sad. I’m happy that my burning questions have answered, but sad it’s over. I really really loved how so many past characters that I grew to love got tied into this duet. I loved seeing them interact and getting to revisit their lives.
I also loved how it all wrapped up. I don’t want to spoil anything, so I won’t say much other than there were a couple surprises I wasn’t expecting.
I feel like I say this every time, but I think this is my favorite duet of Meghan’s to date. Highly recommend this duet.
4.5 stars for – White Knight – book two in the Dirty Mafia duet by Meghan March. This must be read after book one – Black Sheep – as the storyline is in one crazy twisting arc. Meghan does not at all disappoint when it comes to this duet and surprises me time and time again with her crazy plot twists and character shenanigans.
Cannon and Memphis pick right back up where they left off in the most precarious of positions and the action never really stops from there. Some secrets are revealed while others are kept very closely concealed all while Cannon does his best to protect the woman he has fallen hard and fast for.
This was another winner for me from one of my favorite authors. Romance wrapped in so many secrets with a side of danger and family drama with Meghan’s signature sexy hero and sassy heroine is a story I highly recommend!
This is the perfect ‘next’ big book in the Mafia duet. The story has more suspense, intrigue and the power of love than any other book you can read right now. Grab it, hold on and enjoy the wonderful world of Cannon and Drew. You won’t want it to end.
This author makes the suggestion to read Black Sheep first and I heartily agree. Otherwise, it would be like starting a book in the middle of things. And don’t you want to experience this couple from the beginning?
Cannon Freeman got some advice that I don’t know is something that I would consider sage. But he does use it as a lesson. Memphis Lockwood may have to pay the price of her decisions. This book picks up the pace that the first book set. We still have a mystery that needs to be solved and that had me glued to my chair.
Our author shows that there are some men that can, at times, surprise the women in their lives – and not in a bad way. She also shows how sometimes a person needs to come clean in order to have an honest and loving relationship. This book continues the cliffhanger we were left with in book one – another reason you don’t want to start the series here.
Cannon has a half brother and if you want to catch up on his family tree you will want to check out his story in The Dirty Billionaire Trilogy. Part of his family tree includes another half brother Cavanaugh Westman and if you want to learn about his story than you need to read the author’s Dirty Girl Duet. Then we have a daughter, Eden, whose story can be found in Beneath These Shadows. So this might give you some ideas of what to read next if you want to learn more about Cannon’s family tree. This current story may also make you curious to see if either Cannon or Memphis make any appearance in these other books – now I have to go back and reread them since it’s been awhile. It also makes me wonder if there’s another tie-in in my future.
I loved getting my happy ending and it was the perfect one for this couple. But after meeting his family and then a suggestion that was brought up to Cannon, I have to wonder if he and his extended family will make another appearance. And I look forward into getting immersed into whatever adventure this author has in store for me.
I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
White Knight picks up right where Black Sheep left off. Will Cannon follow his heart or will he be what his father wants of him. After all the secrets will Cannon be able to trust Drew. This book did not go where I thought it would there was so many surprise I did not see coming.
Another fantastic duet reaches its conclusion in White Knight, and what an ending indeed!
What can I say that I haven’t said before when it comes to reviewing Meghan March’s books. She keeps putting out completely addictive quality books and I can’t help but devour each and every one of them.
The writing is on point, the world building is stellar and her characters are so memorable, that they stick with you long after you’ve finished their stories.
White Knight joins the ranks of some of my favorite couples with Drew and Cannon.
Their chemistry is undeniable to start with, but when they decide to go all in for each other, they are absolutely unstoppable.
This book picks up right where Black Sheep left off, so you don’t have a break in between that cliffhanger from book 1, and you immediately jump back into the story.
You’ll find that the pace eases you in and picks up speed with every chapter. The twists, turns, and secrets keep the pages turning and it’s all backed up with some suspense and the right amount of drama, making a perfect mix of deliciousness that can’t be put down.
Needless to say, (but I will anyway) all of the swoon worthy moments of romance and love are there for your pleasure, right along with Ms. March’s stamped brand of steamy scenes that are guaranteed to make you blush.
This book is part of a duet and must be read after Black Sheep.
I will say that I was thrilled to have some more of my other favorite characters back on the scene and I can’t wait to see where this author takes us next.
I would highly recommend this book and any other book by Meghan March.
I have yet to read something of hers that I didn’t enjoy.
Meghan March is amazing at giving us amazing characters that steal our hearts. Cannon is definitely my newest book boyfriend! Thanks Meghan for another amazing book that I can read over and over again!
Every Meghan March book I read is better than the last. I loved Black Sheep and White Knight continued this awesome story with all the twists and surprises. This is not only the story of Cannon and Drew’s relationship but revelations from the past generation. This book has all the heat and steam of the author’s other books although each one seems sexier than the last. These characters are amazing and I loved visiting with other members of the Casso family. This is a must-read duet.
This is the conclusion in the Dirty Mafia Duet, Cannon and Drew’s story. There was a lot that happened in this book and it was fast paced and nonstop. Tons of shocking moments that I definitely didn’t see coming!! I absolutely loved Cannon and how passionate he was about his family and about Drew. They had such great chemistry. Meghan does such a great job of telling a story that you feel like your one of the characters.
Every book that Meghan writes is pure magic and White Knight is one of those books. In the second book of the Dirty Mafia Duet, Cannon and Memphis are navigating the waters of truth and lies trying to see where it all leads for them. Cannon has to be one of my top alphas this year. His strong, endearing, sweet, and sex as hell. And Memphis is a true heroine doing everything in her power to find answers and keep Cannon safe. The love these two have for each other is everything that makes a great story.
What an amazing conclusion to the Dirty Mafia series that started right where it left off. This book picked up where book one left and through yet a bunch more twists and turns at the reader while developing the story line of Cannon and Memphis. I truly don’t want to say much as this book (duet ) are amazing and really need a reader to go in blindly but know that you are about to pick up on an amazing adventure that will leave your mind full engrossed.
I never thought I’d get the warm fuzzies over a mob family, yet that’s exactly what I was feeling while reading White Knight. I enjoyed all the exciting situations Memphis and Cannon found themselves in throughout this story. There were definitely twists I didn’t expect. I highly recommend this story to anyone who likes a hot mafia style love story.
The conclusion to Cannon and Drew’s story is more delicious than the beginning. Black Sheep left me gasping and White Knight left me completely fulfilled. Get ready for all the unexpected twists and turns, angsts and passion that will leave you devouring each and every word!
White Knight picks up where Black Sheep left off. I was so anxious to get my hands on this book after reading the cliffhanger in the first book. What a ride this was! White Knight is full of action, drama, romance and suspense. Cannon and Drew/Memphis grew a lot in White Knight. As individuals and as a couple. All of my questions from the first book were answered and I was shocked at some of the revelations. The Dirty Mafia duet was everything I love in a story and I highly recommend it to everyone who enjoys romantic suspense.
Cannon suffered a terrible loss and it’s effected his life ever since. His father is a powerful man but he acts indifferent to his son. Memphis discovered some photos and is trying to figure out why her father had them. To do that she’s gotta get close to Cannon, will she get her answers or more than she expected?
This is book 2 in the Dirty Mafia Duet and it CANNOT be read as a standalone!
This is the highly anticipated conclusion and it couldn’t be read fast enough.
At the end of book one we are left with so many unanswered questions secrets and wtf moments.
This installment lays it all out for you…beautifully!!
Seductive, sexy and full of humor!
We get to finally know the real Drew Carson!
She’s is one badass fierce heroine. I loved her! The chess game is on in this fast paced, sexy installment!
Full of surprises, the chess game is played and you learn who got check mate!
Some elements of the story felt too rushed but it didn’t take away from enjoying this installment!
Loved this book so much I read it twice. Book 2 picks up right where book 1 leaves the reader hanging. I was very surprised by the twists and turns. I did not predict anything that happened throughout this book. Meghan has an incredible mind to come up with all of her plot twists. I really enjoyed seeing some of her other couples in this story. It brings them all together and makes you want more. The chemistry between Memphis and Cannon is indescribable. Their souls have a connection from the beginning. Meghan does a great job writing it so that the reader can sense the connection and enjoy the love story until the very end. Pick up this duet as soon as possible. Enjoy!!!
Overall Grade:
“‘You belong with me, and you’re staying with me. We’re a team, and we handle everything together. Got it?’ I never thought I’d say those words. Never thought I’d ever find someone who would understand my life, who could survive it along with me. With her beside me, I feel stronger than ever.”
Meghan March was a writer whom I read early on in my romance exploration. A small group for me, I read most of her booklist in a very short period of time. The Dirty Billionaire Trilogy was the first of it, and I was hooked. Like Creighton Karas, I too felt betrayed by Cannon, Creighton’s right-hand man. I hated that he had worked with Creighton’s biological father to gain access to Creighton’s life. I didn’t think twice about a series for Cannon. Until I read Black Sheep and White Knight, Meghan March’s Dirty Mafia duet. These two books gave me insight into Cannon’s life, and boy, did I feel guilty for ever thinking poorly of the character.
March’s second book in the duet, White Knight, is her current release. It takes up with a flashback of Cannon’s life as March is reminding us of the loss in his life. That loss is necessary to understanding current day Cannon, a man who uses his intelligence and wits in encountering danger. Through the trial by fire of his life, he’s been forged to withstand the onslaught of bad luck. And he illustrates this beautifully in this book. He is the “white knight.” He saves his family from danger even when he carries the scars of the wounds wrought on him by his father. This is what I loved most about him. Even when he’s snubbed by his father (and Creighton), even when Memphis is put into danger, Cannon’s strength shines through, making him the worthy hero of this story.
Similar to Cannon is Memphis, the heroine of this duet. She is strength personified, and her strength stokes the fires of Cannon’s heroism. Her story diverges from the one in Black Sheep. More is revealed of her past, and it’s shocking. Yet, in the midst of it all, she remains stoic, steadfast, and perceptive. She and Cannon are two halves of a whole, and I think there is more angst from outside influences in this story than there is angst between the two of them. I think it’s why I loved this book even more than Black Sheep. I didn’t feel the worry over Memphis and Cannon. I knew they would make it out to their happy ending. Therefore, I could enjoy the building and resolution of the story.
What I think is most profound about White Knight beyond Cannon’s journey is its feel. When I finished White Knight, my first thoughts were “this is Meghan March’s love letter to her readers.” It’s an ode to the characters she’s crafted over the years. Characters from stories past are here, and a few of them find resolution in the midst of Cannon’s story. And I loved it. As characters from the Dirty Billionaire trilogy, Dirty Girl Duet, Real Duet, and Beneath the Truth series danced across the page, my heart leaped. It felt like a “coming home” week in the March universe, and it was dazzling. If you’ve been a long-time reader of hers, then you must…MUST read this duet.
As we move into a new trilogy from Meghan March, you can’t help but stand in awe of her as a writer. She weaves her stories together into a world that is all her own. I am thankful for Cannon and Memphis’s part in March’s world because it’s a reminder that all is never what it seems. Cannon’s past necessitated the choices of his future, and he does it sacrificially with so much love in his heart. It’s an indication to us all that love really can transcend the unthinkable.
Megan March continues to rock it. Love how she brings a bit of mystery to every book. Great conclusion to the Dirty Mafia Duet.
Meghan never gives 100% effort in her writing…she gives 10,000% and this Duet was proof of that!!!
Drew and Cannon’s story drew me in right from the first chapter of Black Sheep, and White Knight solidified my love for these two.
I loved meting the rest of the Casso family and how past book characters were incorporated and told how the fit into the crime family.
Drew set out to find answers, and she found Cannon instead. Cannon agrees to hell her find her answers…but also finds himself. He was always the Black Sheep of the Casso family…but will he go out the White Knight in Drew’s story??
