An irreverent look at Presidential foibles, follies, fibs, and moral failuresWere past presidents smarter, more honest, and better behaved that those we elect today? Don’t bet on it! It was interesting, as a History/Government teacher I enjoy bringing in true but little known facts about our Presidents.
Best of all when you research it yourself you find it isn’t fake news.
The truth is always more entertaining!
A waste of time. The authors try valiantly to be humorous. They are not!
A little bit repetitive.
Enjoyed reading the comparisons from various administrations. Truly a White House tell all.
Not sure how accurate this book is so that’s why the lower rating
Loved this book. Puts history into perspective and helps us know that we are not so different from past generations.
Very cool book. I enjoyed it immensely. It was very telling that political “improprieties” have been around even longer than our nation itself has. I appreciate the fact that SOME of the information given was not officially confirmed, but rather based on supposed facts, but I don’t think any of them were too far off the mark. There were a few facts that I thought I knew and found out that my information was only partially correct, and there were plenty of surprises. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone that enjoys history and/or politics in a very light read, but well worth the time.
Enjoyed this immensely. Quick read, full of fun filled unusual facts. You don’t need to be an American history buff to like this, and you may become one when you are done.
Like reading enquirer. Some news for me
This is a “must” for those that enjoy Presidential odd tidbits and information. Very entertaining!
Not particularly informative and what is included is dull. Ho hum
Obviously written by two news reporters. They claim printing the facts, then list constant inuendoes, rumors, suppositions, etc., and ‘leave it to you’ to decide what is the truth. Somewhat entertaining book but not the “behind the scenes” documentation mentioned in the synopsis.
Fun to read…cleverly written
Easy reading history of the presidents.
Interesting, but belabors the point quite a bit.
Some extremely interesting facts in the reading, if you are willing to stick with it.
Makes you wonder how the US got to the level it did.
Loved the inside stories of the various Presidents learned some interesting details.
Format of the book is difficult.
A chance to learn more about history in America. Gives readers true and widely researched information that wants the reader to learn more.
Very interesting stories about presidential families and the running of the White House. Great combination of personalities and events. It must have been sad for this author to retire, as he was such an integral part of the White House.
