White Horse Slave was a great five star read. Once I started I couldn’t put it down.
Rhiannon had a very traumatizing thing happen to her when she was little, She now has issues that have come from this. She is trying to move on from her past and work on her demons. She meets Ethan and tries to help him recover from injuries sustained in an accident. Ethan starts to fall for her. Ethan was great for Rhiannon but he also had some issues as well, Can these two make it work?
I had several different emotions while reading. All the secondary characters added a great element to the story. The ending has me impatiently waiting for the next book in the series. This is my first read from the author and I can’t wait to read more.
Wow. I know not really quite what I want to say, but I won’t lie this book left me looking for words long after I finished the last few pages. I will confess I finished this book several days ago and I have been thinking about how I wanted to review it since. To me this was a taboo book. I have gone back and read several of the other reviews since finishing it and I have decided that maybe this is just one of those that you need to read to really develop your own thoughts on. Rett Tyler has written it flawlessly and seamlessly into a tale that really elevates the novel to a level amongst well published authors. It captivated my thoughts throughout the and well after I had finished it. The plot made me question and ponder and I really enjoy a when a book can impact me like that long after I finish it. I feel I will be going back and rereading it here sooner than later and enjoying it just as much if not more so. I have given it five last impression stars, and if I could do so I would leave more.
Rhiannon has a hauntingly and devastating past. It echoes in her very being, and quite often her thoughts, every single day. She pushes forward each day though in an attempt to be a strong and confident woman that she wants so desperately to be. When she begins to fall for Ethan, an amazing and handsome man who is determined to make loving her his life, though the past begins to find a way to catch up to her. Can Ethan keep Rhiannon safe or will he lose the only woman who has ever made him feel the things he does when he is with her? Can they figure out how to build upon a love between them or will they crumble before they ever get the foundations built?
This book captured my attention with its bold and detailed cover, gripping blurb and premise, but managed to outdo all expectations that I had. I can’t wait to find out what will come next for these two and any and all books that Rett Tyler puts out in the future!
What did you like or dislike is the question Amazon asks when you go to the review box.
What did I like? The way this book is written in her point of view – you can see her strength and her demons. I liked that the story kept me on my toes. I liked that the author took time and care turning a phrase and painting a picture (even if I didn’t like the picture, I appreciate the art).
What did I dislike? The fact that slavery in many different types still exists in this world. I did not like that abuse takes all sorts or forms, just not physical. I dislike the thought that a four year old could be experiencing horrific things right now.
What do I not have words for? The way this book is haunting me, days after reading it. That while I didn’t want to read this story (because I’m in a glitter and sunshine frame of mind) something compelled me to read it.
I am rating this book 5 stars because, while I did not like the subject matter, the book is well written, characters are complex and intriguing and it left me wanting to know how it her life turns out.
Amazing
White Horse Slave by Rett Tyler is an amazingly addictive book that was hard for me to put down, this story story had me hooked from page one and kept me hooked the end. This book was a true emotional rollercoaster…it had a little bit of everything from drama and heartbreak to hot and steamy. The author did such an amazing job with the character development that you can’t help but to fall in love with them. I recommend all readers be over the age of eighteen due to adult language and adult content. I give this book 4 stars and can’t wait to see what else the author has in store for us.
White Horse Slave by Rett Tyler is a dark romance that will leave you turning page after page to see what happens next. Told through the eyes of Rhiannon, a young woman that was used and abused by sex slavers at a very young age, this book delves into the lasting damage growing up in that type of environment can have. We get to see the world through the eyes of someone that is so tragically broken, but at the same time such a survivor. We get to see the ups and downs of her life and we get to meet her wealthy boss, and love interest, Ethan. Through her eyes we get to see as they become closer and closer and we get to see as she slowly lets herself believe that Ethan might actually care about her. The entire story is written with great details that have you hooked from page one. This story definitely isn’t for the faint of heart but if you love a good dark story grab this on up. Each character brings something unique to the story. I absolutely loved this book and can’t wait to read more by this talented author. This is one of the most impressively written novels I have read and it definitely deserves a five star rating.
White Horse Slave by Rett Tyler is a book about a girl named Rhiannon who was forced to work as a sex slave from the ages of 4 till 8. She has a ton of issues. This is the first book I have read by this author. I wasn’t sure if I would like it. I started reading and for the first thirty or so pages, I was confused. Feeling stupid, I finally figured out what was going on and the book got better. Some things did annoy me, such as Ethan calling her baby in a seductive way almost immediately after meeting her. There were a few other things but they are minor and probably are only stuff that annoy me personally.
Rhiannon was kidnapped and forced to work as a sex slave between the ages of four and eight. This would mentally screw up anyone. A child that was traumatized so young is bound to have issues later in life. This was the case with Rhiannon. She was not only insecure but there was always a battle within herself. Her mind would constantly revert to a slave mentality. With all her mental and physical issues, I think that the author did an amazing job bringing this character to life. This is why I’m giving the book four stars.
The story was good. Rhiannon’s life is a circus filled with colourful people, all of whom love her. Albeit some are unhealthy for her but it adds to the story. She has been through an enormous amount of crap and I was frustrated at the end. I wonder what Ethan will do in the next book.
Oh My, White Horse Slave is the first book I have read from Rett Tyler. This book had me sitting on the edge of my seat I couldn’t put it down it was such a great page-turner.
This story takes a look at Rihannon and Ethan, can someone who has been exploited to things no one should ever have to be. Rihannon was sold at a very young age into slavery, the things that were done to her and what she was made to do to her master no child should have to know or even do. Rihannon has not had the best life but she now has a job and is working out her own demons or at least she is trying to get her demons under control.
Ethan is well off but has suffered from an accident. He has managed to have it when Rihannon will find him at the stables. Rhiannon always tries to help everyone so she takes him home and helps him get back on his feet. Ethan falls in love with Rihannon but she doesn’t believe him. Can these to have a happliy ever after or will it all be taken from them.
I cant wait for the next book as this one finishes on a cliff hanger and I need to know what happens to Rihannon and Ethan. Hey dont take my word for it go and grab a copy for your self. Happy Reading

“When I look at him I see a ship without a port, lost at sea, drifting from to place to place, searching for home but never finding it.”
The blurb of this book had me so intrigued I just knew I had to read it. I had no idea what I was in for.
“Without my collar and bracelets, I’m nothing. They are who I am. Before them I was nobody. Then he made me his, and I became somebody, I became important. Important to him. I was no longer a worthless, dirty little girl.”
This book has so many layers, depth, character development, secrets, lies, healing, enabling, growth, suspense, fear, mystery and twist in the story. Book two in the series is White Horse Revenge…I can’t wait to see where Rett takes us next.
“I don’t tick. I stopped ticking years ago. That’s what’s wrong with me. I’ve lost my tick.”

This is my first book by this author and it did not disappoint. Well, the ending although not a disappointment definitely had me yelling at my kindle and almost cracking the screen trying to get more information on the next book!!!
I had every emotion known to man while reading this story, Rhiannon/Trinity had me all over the place..my heart broke for her especially her views of herself, and being that these views were ingrained in her at such a young age…sigh….I actually teared up during her inner dialogues with herself. Ethan was awesome, and although he had his own demons to fight he did all he could do to convince her that he really did love her.
Ugh!! Now I wait for book 2, I felt it coming and I was saying literally out loud dont go, Ethan has tried to warn you dang it…
If I’m reading it all correctly, this is this author’s debut novel and Holy Moly what a great book!! The writing style had me totally hooked and I read it in two sittings and that’s only because real life got in the way.
Hopefully book 2 is not too far off or I’ll just have to read this one again so Im ready.
Awesome!!

I always love when I find new authors and new series. I also like when I find a new genre! This book filled all the above. There were some very dark parts to this book but it all filled in the backstory and made this for a very interesting read. I really like how the author was able to create the characters and the outline of their whole scenario.
The whole chemistry between Ethan and Trinity is just explosive. I like how the author sets up both their characters and lets you know how they became the people they are. The way that Ethan starts to help change and in a way heal Trinity is enthralling. I liked the way that the author brings in details from their back stories to help to build the drama as it is unfolding. The way Trinity plays
hard to get and is sort of unattainable brings realism into this story and leaves the reader wanting more and routing for Ethan. I will definitely be reading more from this author and this series.

I have no words. This story caught me completely by surprise. The amount of emotions coming from Trinity was overwhelming. I can’t believe she survived all she has been through. Trinity lived a fear all mothers have when they have little girls. She was saved but at the cost of so much. She never outgrew her slave mentality. I don’t know how this author stayed sane writing this story. I am having trouble facing all this character went through. My daughter is nine and I would die if something happened to her. I’m just shocked. Ethan was a contradiction he was demanding but also loving. He seemed like a dominate man but knew when to let Trinity lead. Their relationship is very unique and I am excited to see what is next. This isn’t like the other books I read. It’s a different vibe with how the author writes and the way the author gives you the visual how Trinity’s time as a slave.
White Horse Slave by Rett Tyler is a story about a cruel and sadistic master and one woman’s chance at a new beginning.
Rhiannon has a lot of history, even as such a young age. After been kidnapped and drugged when she was just a child she is now trying to make something of her life. With pills to try and help Rhiannon is able to hold down a job and has created a semblance of a normal life.
She been meta Ethan, her gorgeous new boss. But thank to her history she has a hard time believing that he wants her just as she is. Finally she is convinced by his actions, only to find herself drugged and kidnapped once more. Who is the mysterious person that has done it? And do they have anything to do with her old master?
I knew from the minute I read the blurb of this book that I would enjoy and I definitely did. The story was incredible. Trying to piece together what was going on and who was involved. I couldn’t wait to see if Ethan would be able to help her or if she would be at the mercy of Master. The writing style was great, it drew you into the story easily. Overall a very good read.

White Horse Slave is the stunning debut novel by Rett Tyler. I was incredibly intrigued by the cover and blurb of this book and decided that I really had to read it- I am really happy that I took the plunge. This story really has so much going on in it but is so wonderfully woven that all the elements blend together into a smooth and addictive read. Ms. Tyler has a bold and powerful style to her writing that grabs you and holds you in the story from beginning to end. I couldn’t put this book down- I was so invested in the character/s and the story that I HAD to find out what happens. I ended up devouring it in an evening and came away with my mind blown. This book has all the intrigue, suspense, drama and mystery you could every want in a story- and the psychological aspect to this story is incredibly well done. Although the subject matter could be considered disturbing and heavy- the author hasn’t sensationalised or glorified it in any way, but has given a raw and honest look at a shocking situation. This is emotional, funny, heartbreaking, shocking, and riveting- all rolled into a superb story.
The characters are complicated, really well developed and somewhat quirky individuals who really bring this story alive. I was so invested in Rhiannon/Trinity’s story and was rooting for her the whole way thorough. She did frustrate me at times with her very negative view of herself, and the finality to some of her thoughts. But, I could understand why she was like that, after everything she had been through. Her inner dialogue was quite heartbreaking at times, and her disturbing little rhymes really gave another perspective to her mental state. I loved Ethan, he is divine. But I think there is a whole lot more to him than we have been shown here.
The ending had my jaw on the ground….. OMG!!! I NEED the next book NOW!!! I really have to know what happens- I hope there isn’t too long to wait.
Thank you, Ms. Tyler!

When I first saw the cover to this book I was instantly drawn to it, there was just something about it and then when I read the blurb I wasn’t sure but then I opened the book and started and it was just wow. It is possibly one of the best romantic suspense stories that I have ever read, I was captivated from cover to cover and I was thinking about what I had read after I had finished it. In fact I wanted to start it all over again just so I could experience the feelings I did when I read it for a second time. The characters that the author created were just amazing, especially Rhiannon. After everything she went through in her younger life you would expect her to stay beaten and broken but she had this amazing inner strength and she tried to move on with her life even if the traumatic events still had an impact. The author really did a fantastic job with writing about these awful conditions that Rhiannon found herself in from such a young age.
I loved the interaction between Rhiannon and Ethan, I can totally understand how she feels towards him but there was just something about him that I liked about him. I found I had a good connection with him as a character.
I will definitely be waiting (not patiently) for book 2 to come out – I can’t wait to see what this amazing author has for us.
Twenty-three year old Rhiannon was forced into an exploitive and brutal world of sex slavery from the age of four until she was eight years old. This is the information Rett Tyler, the author of White Horse Slave, shares in her back cover blurb. It was enough to make me think twice about reading a story that had to be painfully cruel.
That second thought kept the book in my hands. These horrific situations exist all over the world. The time has passed to ignore this brutality and degradation toward young girls and women. The author’s intent is not to exploit the seedy, demented side of sex slavery in some perverted manner. It was clear that her reasoning was to show the lifelong and permanent effect such an unconscionable experience would have on the rest of a young woman’s life.
The story is painfully written from the first person perspective of Rhiannon. You hear her every thought, fear, insecurity and phobia. Yet, Tyler has managed to sneak moments of humor in the many situations she finds herself in. If not for those bits of levity, my heart would have completely broken for this young woman.
I was riveted from the first chapter. With all that Rhiannon had been through, and how obviously broken she is, I found her to be strong, selfless, loving and very much a caregiver to the people in her little corner of the world.
Enter, the love interest. Ethan. Her boss. A billionaire who is completely taken by her beautiful soul. She is like no other woman he has ever met, and although he, from the start, is aware of her tragic past and the problems they hold for her ability to have a normal romantic relationship, he fights for her. If not for this strange and unique love story within the storyline, I feared Rhiannon would be doomed to a sad and lonely life without the hope or promise of anyone to care for her. She deserves happiness and I want that for her, as unrealistic as that might be with a childhood laced with torture and beatings.
White Horse Slave is book one in a series. The surface hasn’t even been scratched yet as to the depth of her problems, the threat that still looms, and Ethan’s mysterious troubled past.
Tyler has developed beautifully written characters in such a way that you can’t help but fall in love with them, or in some cases despise them to the core. I am anxiously awaiting for book two and praying for the healing of Rhiannon’s mind, spirit and soul. She may be a character of fiction, but the reality is that there are thousands of Rhiannons out there desperate to break loose of the chains that bind them.
White Horse Slave by Rett Tyler is an off the charts amazing read that will keep you satisfied with romance while stealing your breathe with its suspense. Following the story of Rhiannon and Ethan, about a woman who was broken from a very early age and how that past still haunts her today. Can she fall in love with a man who is broken in his own way? Can the broken pieces of these two find a way to piece together a life as one whole person? The past abuse that Rhiannon suffered is something that haunts her every day, but her inner strength not only helped her to survive it but to become a compassionate woman in spite of the evil of her past. Rhiannon works so hard to be the better person that she often would feel overwhelmed and then would become embarrassed or frustrated at her own actions. Getting to see her interact with others in this book really made this a light hearted read, showing that she was attempting to move past everything that happened to her. Ethan on the other hand is overly confident and handsome as all get out. He could get any woman he wants, but there is something about Rhiannon that draws him to her. Ethan can’t seem to get enough of Rhiannon, and she finds herself falling for him. Rhiannon can’t fathom why Ethan would want to love her, so he is going to have to work to get her to believe him and his feelings. When Rhiannon finds her in trouble, is it her past coming to get her or trouble from today? Can Ethan keep her safe or will he lose the only woman who made him feel different? Tyler is a new to me author, and all I can say is WOWOWOW! I am so happy I picked this story up. Her characters are amazing, the story was overflowing with depth and emotion, and her voice created such a unique read that I was hooked from page one. I can’t wait to see whatever Tyler brings to her readers in the future because I will be first in line to buy whatever it is. Don’t hesitate on this one, it’s an automatic buy!
White Horse Slave by Rett Tyler is a contemporary-romance-suspense story that will keep you reading until the end. This is my first book by this author and I really enjoyed it. I enjoyed how this author could pull me into this story from the first word. This story as a little bit of everything in it including twists and turns that will leave you sitting on the edge of your seat. Her writing skills are easy flowing and engaging. Her characters are lovable and connectable. They took me on an emotional roller coaster ride that even brought tears to my eyes once or twice. This is a story about a woman who was kidnapped at a young age and treated like slave or animal for many years. Now that Rhiannon is twenty-three is she is trying to get her life back together. She has been struggling with trying to let the past go and let it heal. Just when she thought she was doing better, her world is turned upside down when she meets her boss. She starts falling for him and by the time she realizes that he loves her, her past has come back to haunt her. This story will leaving you hanging and I know I can’t wait to see what will happen in the next book. I loved Rhiannon’s character. She is so strong, feisty and has really been through so much. She is a person who thinks of others before herself. I kept hoping that it was finally her turn to find happiness. Her story is fast reading and one I had a hard time putting down. I highly recommend this book. Find out what if Rhiannon finally finds the love she deserves.

The story White Horse Slave by Rett Tyler is a romantic suspense book. It is the story of Rhiannon and Ethan. Can a woman whose traumatizing past still haunts her fall in love with a man that she has only known for a short time? Will she be able to overcome her fears and doubts to start a relationship with him? Will she be able to trust him? I enjoyed reading this story and about the characters of Rhiannon and Ethan. They are two people who are deeply attracted to each other. Rhiannon is a woman whose past haunts her. I found her to be a strong woman to have survived what she has. She is also a compassionate woman who helps those in need. She frequently puts the needs of others before her own. Rhiannon has methods in which she copes when she feels overwhelmed. I had to smile and even laugh at how when she becomes embarrassed or frustrated she starts to talk and can’t seem to stop. Her interactions with others can be very humorous. Ethan is a man that is confident and very handsome. He is able to have any woman that he wants, he finds himself very attracted to Rhiannon. He finds that the feelings he has for her are very different than what he has had for other women. She doesn’t believe that he could have the same feelings for her as she does for him. He will have to prove this to her. Will these two find happiness together? Rhiannon has always believed that her past would catch up with her and claim her again. Is the danger that Rhiannon finds herself in from the past or the present? Will Ethan be able to protect and keep her safe? There are other characters that you are introduced to and I enjoyed reading about their interactions with Rhiannon and Ethan. A lot of them are very protective of Rhiannon. There are also those that I felt had a hidden agenda and had me questioning their actions and motives. This is a book that once started I had a hard time putting down. I just had to know what happens next. This is the first book I have read by the author and it will not be the last. This story does end with a cliffhanger and I can’t want to read the next one. I would recommend this book to those 18 and older as there are some very steamy scenes and also involves a sensitive subject.
