Whispers of Love is the new book written by Rose Verde. The author did excellent job writing about a very hard topic, hospice care and death from cancer. Very few authors could have written a book that was so good while dealing with such a sensitive subject. The characters were very life like and believable. The story took the me on a rollercoaster ride of emotions-laughter, anger, friendship, love and great sadness.[have a box of tissues handy] Whispers of Love is a book that I highly recommend to anyone who reads women’s fiction or romance.
I was given an ARC of this book by the author, Rose Verde, and this is my voluntary and honest review. This is a fantastic book, and I love it. It is an emotional but uplifting story about a young Mother in the later stages of cancer because she chose to withhold chemo until her pregnancy was far enough along that her twins would be born healthy. When her husband leaves her and refuses the twins, Mary’s brother and sister bring them home as well as Mary so she can die at home. Jordyn, the Hospice nurse, not only helps Mary but the whole family deal with the end of life stage for Mary. Jordyn is a caring and loving person who even wins over Ty, the brother, who has been angry for years after his parents were killed and it was his responsibility to keep his Dad’s business going and raising his two sisters and now his twin nephews who are only a few months old. I had a good cry several times over all the family had to deal with and then cried tears of joy at how the book ended. It is a book you won’t want to put down after you start reading it. Rose did an excellent job of letting her Christian faith live through the characters. I highly recommend this heartwarming book.
I have great admiration for those who can work with hospice. Rose Verde has written a book on a very tough subject, death and dying. This book has romance, touching scenes and a message to all regarding death and dealing with dying. This book touched me and I enjoyed it even if at times I teared up. Ty and Jordyn both have background sorrow and tough times to overcome. Their romance doesn’t run smoothly but they do work through to a happily ever after.
Jordyn works as a nurse for Gifted Hands Hospice in Woodsford, with people very ill with cancer.
the author introduce this hard theme (the cancer and death) with good well writing story, can touch your heart.
Even though the story line is tragic this book seemed warm and loving with hope to let God into your life as its simple message. The insight into the main character’s background and her strength to be a hospice nurse is very emotional. To find love through tragedy is uplifting. I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.
Romance Amid Hospice Care
This is a sweet, clean and faith-filled romance. The entire story takes place during the Hospice care of our leading man’s sister; between the leading man and the end of life nurse. I have always heard that times of extreme emotion will bring about love affairs that won’t stand the test of time. I guess that is where the faith comes in for this romance. I have mixed feelings about the topic. I also found the writing to be wanting in that it was jerky and not the smooth story that I know this author can write. I received this book for free and this is my honest review.
Jordyn and Ty meet under rather sad circumstances. There are sparks flying but not the good kind. They both have hurt and loss in their past. Can the circumstances that brought them together really bring them together? This one was sad but uplifting as well. A really sweet romance about loss, healing, and living again.
WHISPERS OF LOVE. Rose Verde
Joedyn arriving two hours late, as a hospice nurse for Ty’s sister. Mary only twenty four and husband abandoned her, and boys would be about a year old and she would be gone. He felt he had failed his sisters after parents died, but he too was young..She mention a psychologist would help him, to deal with his anger. He had a fiancé that left, a brother in law that left, parents dying so young. He was dealing with an overload of emotions and responsibility. Tender plot of emotions, and dealing with fear. The author did a good job, and how to recognize and deal with it. Given ARC for my voluntary review and my honest opinion.
Whispers of Love by Rose Verde is an outstanding, compassionate story of faith, love and loss. I used several tissues on this one. I loved every minute of reading this book. Both Jordyn and Ty lost their parents far too soon. Now Ty’s sister is dying. Ty brings Mary to his house and hires Jordyn as Mary’s hospice nurse. Jordyn attempts to help Ty as well. The book is a well-written, even encouraging, Christian tale of how Jordyn, Ty and Ty’s other sister learn to deal with even more loss and eventually, hand it all to God. This is a most satisfying story and I highly recommend it.
This is by no means an easy book to read the tragedy and lost will tear at your heart. Yet you will find characters who will find the strength to see themselves through such a horrible loss. Yet this also a story of new love so beautifully written you will be blown away by how good this piece is. I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.
Mary is dying of cancer and gave up treatment in favor of giving birth to her twin boys. Her brother Ty now carries the burden of caring for Mary, raising his teenage sister Lisa and twin babies. Ty tries to be strong but his grief is so deep he can’t let it go, except in anger.
Enter Jordyn a compassionate hospice nurse who steps into the gap as the family struggles to come to terms with their situation. She doesn’t want to cross lines but is drawn to each of them. Having been in the place where they are, and recognizing Ty’s need she loans him her journal.
Through a series of mishaps and conflict the characters each grow and develop. Mary’s faith has carried her through and as Ty wrestles with his own, Jordyn helps him find what he really needs and overcomes her own fears.
A well written book that handles the difficulties of hospice care with grace and love. I recommend this book.
Whispers of Love is a well-written Christian romance of substance. It deals with faith and loss. Although Jordyn is a hospice nurse caring for Ty’s sister, the book was encouraging, not depressing. One of my favorite quotes from the book is “those who leave everything in God’s hand will eventually see God’s hand in everything.” I loved the strong family ties in the book and how Ty stepped up to care for his sisters and his nephews. Rose Verde has done an excellent job writing a clean romance between two people who have both allowed their grief to control them. She also writes how they were freed. There is a soul-satisfying HEA. I highly recommend this book. I received an ARC. I chose to write a review and share my opinion of this excellent book.
For every teardrop loss, a better understanding unfolds. Verde has a purpose for breaking hearts. Enlightenment. Whispers of Love is a love story within a romance. Jordyn and Ty are strangers brought together by tragedy. Theirs is a tale of heartbreaking loss, unshakeable faith and the cycle of life. Ms. Verde forces us to find beauty in the painful and strength from the weak. She puts love under a microscope to inspire us with it’s powerful glow. The tears are plenty, but the value is priceless.
A really hard story to read due to it’s subject. However, it is an amazing story of anger, grief, loss, and fear. This story does bring the fact home that the circle of life is different for everyone. But this story had a main character that was the hospice nurse that helped the family to be ready as much as was possible for their pending loss. She cares for the feelings of the siblings as much as the patient. She stressed the fact that without God life was so much harder to go thru the loss of a loved one and keep really living. But that is where she had the problem. She never fully laid her burdens on God to help carry especially the one that almost cost her a future full of love. This story is very well written and researched.
