This was a fabulous story. I simply adored it. Jasmine left home at an early to go to New York and become a clothing designer. She along with her sister, Lewis, came back shortly before their Pa’s death. In the time that the three of them were together, each made peace with the others. Jasmine starts to develop feelings for the vet, Jack Turner. Talk about a hottie, Jack is the ultimate cowboy. Tall, dark and broody, Jack is the perfect foil for Jasmine. The story to their HEA was an adorable story. The road had few small bumpy spots but the ending made it oh so worth it.
I loved the dual POV format. It really helps me to fully understand the character and to identify with him or her. I highly recommend this story to anyone. There was just one small bedroom scene but nothing overly descriptive.
From the day Jasmine Tate meets vet Jack Turner her usual icy manner takes a battering. He is nothing at all like any other man she has dated, she finds him unpredictable, he drives her crazy and confuses her mind and heart. Can they have a future? She has spent the last ten years as a fashion designer in New York, what kind of career can she have on a ranch? Read this story to find out.
Great
Jasmine was happy at the ranch but her boss in NY couldn’t understand her not wanting to come back right away. Jack is the town Vet and has been hurt by his ex wife couldn’t understand his need for open spaces. But he comes to the Double T to give his condolences Jasmine brings him something. Can they work, only time can tell.
As with all Milan Watson’s books, I really enjoyed this one. Both Jack and Jasmine have to come to terms with issues in their past. Can Jasmine ever make the ranch her home again? Can Jack ever trust another woman after his ex? You’ll have to read the book to find out.
I received a free arc in exchange for an honest review.
A wonderfully well written and entertaining short story. This amazing story includes lots of humor, romance, family intrigue, a little suspense and romance. I really enjoyed this slow burn with lots of chemistry that cant be denied the more time they spend together. Written from dual POVs it enabled a beautiful journey while you are wondering if the city or country will win out. The characters are relateable, interesting, and well developed with cameos from previous series characters. I voluntarily reviewed this ARC.
A quick read but well written and perfectly paced story pulling you in from the start. This is book two and it carries on from book one about both Jasmine and Lewis and the ranch they inherited from their father. Book one was how Lewis and Tanner connect and this one was how Jasmine and Jack work out their differences. Both are standalone reads.
Jasmine Tate never thought anything could bring her back to the Double T in Colorado. But her father’s illness and death will change her life again. Jasmine’s world revolves around fashion in New York but now she’s back in Colorado and the co-owner of her fathers ranch with her sister Lewis. Jasmine only wants to stay a short time she has demands and people waiting on her in New York but then she lays eyes on the local vet he’s good looking and has a chip on his shoulder about women like her. Jack Turner was married to a woman who wanted the bright lights rather then him and when she left he decided never another city women for him he likes his job as a veterinarian to much to risk heartache again over another women to interested in the city. But there chemistry can only be faught for so long soon Jasmine is letting go of her ruff edges and Jack is hoping she doesn’t break his heart. Can they find love when it seems they want different things or will Jasmine find out she has more country in her then city. I was allowed to read and advance copy of this book and this is my honest review.
City girl returns to her country roots, finds romance and a cause

4 and a bit stars
Short, happily-resolved romantic follow-up to Sunsets in Colorado. Whereas the previous book focused on the romance between ranch manager Tanner and Lewis, one of the two daughters of the ailing ranch owner, in this story, the other sister is the romantic lead. NYC-based fashion designer Jasmine is at a crossroads in her life after her father makes her a part owner in his ranch. Local vet Jack shows up with an injured wild mustang and suddenly passion, romance and helping preserve the local mustang population become part of the equation. The romance features mild steam and mild angst as Jack has difficulty moving past the distrust he has for “city” women like his ex wife. I liked the characters, setting and romance, and I enjoyed the story; it was just a bit too short.
I read a complimentary advance copy of the story; this is my voluntary and honest review.
I really enjoyed Whispers in Colorado by Milan Watson. I thought it was well-written and had relatable characters. I thought Jack and Jasmine had great chemistry and I enjoyed the spark between the two and how they took the time to get to know one another. I can’t pinpoint exactly what it was about their story, but it just hit the spot for me. It wasn’t overly angsty or a rush to sex. I just felt the spark burn into really great sexual heat and tension until it was something neither could deny.
I’ve enjoyed reading her work and admire how her writing style has grown and improved with every book. This honestly is my favorite read from Milan Watson and I can’t wait to see what she has in store for us next. If you’ve never read her work before, even if you have, this is one you should definitely one-click.
