Things are looking up for Addison Holmes. She’s about to take her P.I. exams, she’s living in sin with the man of her dreams, and she hasn’t had a phone call from her mother in three whole days. But she should have known things were too good to last.
When Rosemarie Valentine’s fingerprints are found on the murder weapon used to kill a sex shop owner, it’s up to Addison and the gang to clear her … clear her name before Rosemarie is thrown in the pokey with no hope of getting out again.
With the help of Nick, Savage, Kate, and Addison’s mom and sister, what could possibly go wrong?

Very easy and entertaining read.
I love this series. Great author!
If your a fan of Stepanie Plum series you will enjoy this character
This book was a fun read. Loved the characters.
The Whiskey series is one of the most fun detective romps around. It’s a laugh-out-loud yet realistic mystery.
I enjoyed it, and plan to read the sequel. Some of the situations were more than a little far-fetched, but the the writer was successful in having the protagonist deal with them. I will read more of this series.
Aside from Allison bursting into tears every time anyone looks in her general direction (which tends to get a bit irritating after the fifteenth or twentieth time) the book is witty and entertaining, as is the entire series. Most people don’t realize how difficult it is to write humorously but Ms Hart succeeds exceptionally. Overall a well-written book and series!!
This is my first visit to the world of Whiskey Bayou, GA and the escapades of Addison Holmes. As a Stefanie Plum fan, I was drawn to the similar but much sexier life of a true Southern Belle and PI. Her love life travails and dangerous paths to the solution of her cases keep the reader amused and eager to follow the trail. In just a few days I’ve burned through the 1st five novels and look forward to the next in the series.
This is highly recommended for anyone who enjoys crime, suspense and humor all wrapped up together.
Keep ‘em coming!!
The characters play nicely off each other.
Love this author and have read quite a few of her books.
Love this series! Very entertaining. Fun!
This book was hilarious. Watch out Janet Evanovich
The characters are a little to much like Evanovich’s Plum characters but still a good read
If you are a fan of Janet Evanovich, you should add Lilliana Hart to your reading list.
So much fun. Wonderful writing. Great characters. I am getting the whole series.
Evanovich does it better!
If imitation is the highest form of flattery, then Janet Evanovich should be flattered and then sue this author for theft of intellectual property. The only things she changed were the names of the players. I present the following:
Stephanie Plum’s romantic interest: Morrelli the cop
Allison Holmes’ interest: Nick the cop
SP’s sidekick: Lulu the donut eating former ‘ho.’
AH’s sidekick: the donut eating, oversexed Rosemarie
SP’a crazy hrandma vs. AH’s crazy aunt
The mysterious Ranger who intrigues and attracts SP vs the mysterious Savage who fills the same shoes! Enough! Even the main characters’ names have the same number of syllables!
love the southern vernacular! great fun reads!
Would recommend to readers who like a little humor with their mysteries. Well written, good characters good plot.
Poor imitation of Janet Evanovich and not at all entertaining. JJanet should sue.
Loved the characters but a little too tawdry for my taste.
