Lincoln I’ve done a good job getting over my past. I’m not only proud of who I am, but revel in it. Still, I don’t let myself get too close to people. With closeness comes questions and those pesky feelings, and I’m having none of that. I’ve got a great job, friends, I’m cute and twinky, and my bed’s never empty. What more do I need? Except I can’t stop sleeping with Rush Alexander. I try, I … Alexander. I try, I really do, but I just can’t stay away, and that, ladies and gentlemen, is stressing me out. Rush has the power to hurt me–something I swore I’d never let happen again. Unfortunately, things become a little more complicated when I tell a white lie that lands me in a fake relationship with him. Yeah, not my best moment.
Rush
I’ve always been an easygoing guy and don’t let many things get to me. I’ve worked hard to make my dream of becoming a professional motocross racer come true, and everything else is icing on the cake. Like Lincoln Gray, for example. I need to tread carefully, even though I want more from him than our occasional hookups. If I give what we have too much throttle, we’ll crash and burn. But when Linc accidentally announces we’re boyfriends in front of my mom, the race is on. First, I have to show him there’s more between us than the way we burn up the sheets together. When Linc finally trusts me in ways he doesn’t anyone else, there’s no turning back. I’m a firm believer that nothing worth having comes easily, and Lincoln Gray is worth it all.

We met Rush and Lincoln in Book 1 Fired Up. Unfortunately I didn’t connect with either MC or them together. Lincoln just annoyed me for some reason, maybe too needy. That said, it was fun to catch up with the cast of characters from book 1. The best part of this book was the secret not so secret surprise birthday party for Beau that Kenny shared with Beau.
SO excited to finally get Lincoln’s story! I had a feeling from Fired Up that it would be him and Rush in the end based on what he tells Beau and I’m so glad they came together, even though it started off rocky.
After Rush gets hurt during a motocross race, Lincoln pretends to be his boyfriend to get into the hospital to see him. Of course things get crazy with their family and friends to keep up the ruse, but I was glad that the truth came out really quickly – fake boyfriend is one of my least favorite tropes.
Even though they’d been together casually before the accident, Lincoln wasn’t ready for more even though Rush could feel the connection from the beginning and gave him the space and time to get used to the idea of them being together for real. We finally get Lincoln’s backstory and reasoning for closing himself off, but his internal back and forth and lack of confidence about everything having to do with Rush and their relationship was a little difficult to read.
Rush and Lincoln together are HOT – so steamy and their connection is so genuine. They may be opposites in many parts of their lives, but they compliment each other so well (in and out of the bedroom) and know how to communicate their feelings when they need to, which is really refreshing.
This was a really easy read with no crazy drama and a really sweet couple with so much chemistry. Looking forward to peeks into Rush and Lincoln’s future in the next books in the series! And what’s going to happen with Jude?! I need to know…fingers crossed he finds himself and finds love in Fever Falls too!
I really hoped for Linc and Rush to get together because their chemistry that they both tried to downplay was explosive. Even as secondary characters in Beau and Ash’s story, you could tell that the two of them would be perfect and they were. By far, my favorite couple in this series!
Loved this one!! Friends with benefits is one of my favourite tropes, even though they spend very little time as that on page. Linc and Rush are amazing together. Loved all their interactions. There’s barely any angst. It’s a fun and feel good read read. Super hot too!! I mean who doesn’t love a biker??
It’s also got fake relationship which again turns real very quickly. I love the Fever Falls crew. And Trey and Tyson were really great too.I want more of Jude, Rush’s childhood bestfriend. I hope he’ll get a book soon!
Fever Falls makes all the boys fall in love. Oh yeah. Like Linc says, must be somethin in the water! This one was kinda different for me, because him and Rush were already halfway an item to start. I mean they definitely had stuff to work through and there was a lot goin on, but it was low on angst and kind of high on awwwness. These two were sweet together, and there was a good mix of tenderness, dirty talk, and moments with the whole crew. I loved it.
Awesome book Rush and Lincoln are so perfect together. I loved being back in Fever Falls seeing how everyone is doing. This is a perfect story of friends who become partners and how they each grow in the relationship.
I have been waiting for more Fever Falls stories and Lincoln and Rush did not disappoint. This story was low angst and sweet…I fell in love with Lincoln and Rush who were friends with benefits but Linc was afraid to cross the line and lose their friendship. These two had chemistry that sparked alive every time they were in each other’s presence. It became more of WHY aren’t they together. It was fun to see them navigate the muddy waters that they found themselves in…definitely more than friends. I also adored the new characters like Rush’s best friend Jude and his mom Kathy and can’t wait to see whose book is next! Linc and Rush’s story was steamy hot with a little swoonworthy, hot motorcross action and a loyal, trustworthy guy thrown in for good times. Whoa baby…so yummy!
Rush and Lincoln are friends with benefits. When Linc freaks out because he thinks he’s getting too close he shuts down the benefits part.
I loved Linc’s mentor ship with Trey. Linc’s insecurity was so permeating through his life. Rush’s family drama added a bit of interest and conflict. The story was amazing with great characters. It was fun to see the more serious aspects of Linc who comes off as a party boy. Rush was alpha with a huge heart. I loved how he built up Linc.
This is the third book in the series. It is better to read the books in order as each book builds with the characters of the previous books. These friends are just fun. Enough angst to keep things interesting and plenty of heat. Absolutely wonderful!!
