Sparks fly between a former cop-turned-bartender and his new innkeeper in the first installment of a Montgomery Ink spin-off series from NYT Bestselling Author Carrie Ann Ryan. Dare Collins is a man who knows his whiskey and women—or at least that’s what he tells himself. When his family decides to hire on a new innkeeper for the inn above his bar and restaurant, he’s more than reluctant. … reluctant. Especially when he meets the new hire. But he’ll soon find that he has no choice but to work with this city girl and accept her new ideas and the burning attraction between them.
Kenzie Owens left her old life and an abusive relationship behind her—or so she thought. She figures she’ll be safe in Whiskey, Pennsylvania but after one look at her new boss, Dare Collins, she might still be in danger, or at least her heart. And when her past catches up with her despite her attempts to avoid it, it’s more than her heart on the line. This time, it might mean her life.

Great story. Steamy sex. A crazy ex. Two people who wasn’t looking for love but found it in each other.
Dare and Kenzie are a cute couple. I really enjoyed meeting the Collins family. Like all of Carrie Ann Ryan’s books this one is full of great characters and centred around the family and the connections to that family. I look forward to more from Whiskey.
Carrie Ann Ryan did it again – her newest series about the Collins family is as full of heart as her Montgomery Ink series. I love me a good cross-over and this definitely has it. Dare and Kenzie have great chemistry, and as always, I appreciate the fact that they aren’t in their early 20s. Whiskey Secrets had just the right amount of suspense and drama, but it wasn’t overwrought. In all, a very enjoyable read.
Loved all the books. Could do with some more of them.
I received a free copy of this book and I chose to review it. I loved this story. This is a well written story. It is worth your time and effort. The characters are fantastic. This will not be the last book in this series I plan on reading. I encourage everyone to go get this book. Give this one a fighting chance, I think you will enjoy it.
truly a great story loved it
3.5
Any of the Montgomery books are great books. So enjoy!
I LOVE THIS SHORT SERIES ONLY WISH IT HAD A BIT MORE STEAMY SEX SCENES BUT HAVE TO SAY THAT THE STORIES ARE SO RIVITING AND FUN YOU DONT MISS THAT SO MUCH!
This was an easy weekend read. I didn’t find the book as hard to put down as the Montgomery Ink series. I thought the characters and the romance between them was a little ho-hum and wishy-washy.
Read this series and read all her other books and series.
Loved it cant wait to read more of the series
Rating: 4.5 Stars
Dare Collins is at his wits end. You will feel sorry for him because his life seems to be working against him. Kenzie Owens puts on a good front. But she seems comfortable enough around Dare to let him into her life.
This is one great thing about our author. We get to see a whole family network along with the love and pain that sometimes occurs. They are people that you can periodically relate to. And when you add in children, they just seem to have a way of stealing a scene. And that’s another thing I like about this author. All her scenes seem to flow seamlessly from one to another. I never seem to get lost and have to go back and re-read a scene to see what I may have missed. Ms. Ryan also connects this series her popular Montgomery Ink. You may not have read that series but that’s ok because you won’t be lost if you haven’t. But if you want to see how it connects to this one you may at some point want to take a chance and see what that series is about. The author even helps you out by giving you the books that crossover.
Kenzie is a woman that’s trying to recover from a past that tried to pull her down. This may be a trigger for those that have gone through domestic violence. It could also lift those up that have been able to escape and come out stronger and with a strong voice. It was also nice to see that she had a champion in her corner.
This book may not be as long as some others that you have read but it is a story that will have you slow down. It’s one to sit back, relax, and have either a favorite snack or a favorite drink handy as you read. It was very easy to tune out everything else so that I could concentrate on the story that our author has written. I came to care for Kenzie and wanted to know that she ends up with a white knight even if he does have a little chink in his armor. The ending left me thinking and reminiscing about my own family and may do the same for you.
I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
Whiskey Reveals is Fox and Melody’s story. Melody is granddaughter of the mysterious Ms Pearl. She and Fox meet at Dare’s bar and have a one time fling. Fast Forward 3
months, Fox is writing an editorial on the infamous Ms Pearl and runs into Melody again. The two try to be just friends, but with these two, there’s too much steam to be friends. I enjoyed this story, but I think I still like Dare/Kenzie’s better.
I was super excited to find out that Carrie Ann was writing about Tabby’s brothers. She is so great at writing the best Alpha males! This book lived up to every expectation, and per the usual, I devoured it in only one day.
Dare and Kenzie are so perfect for each other. Both have a shady past that they can’t get over, it seemed to be fate. I loved how broody Dare is and how he kind of runs from his emotions. I also love that his brothers give him constant crap about it, but they are all there for each other. At the beginning of the book when the brothers just step in and help him with the bar, it’s so endearing!
Kenzie, she’s kind of the same way. She comes of as snarky, but really she is the sweetest. Also, she can totally hold her own with these men. Kenzie also is so easy to get to know! She warmed right up to Ainsley and the brothers. She seemed to come in at the perfect time for their family. It really did seem like fate. Carrie is so good at making us change our minds constantly, right when we have something figured out, something else changes. She is the greatest when it comes to the curve ball and it was done in the best ways in this book!
The best part of this book is that we get to see these little insights to the other bothers lives. I can’t wait to see where this story takes us!
