Zee Mahan had always known the boy she loved would leave one day–Whiskey River was too small to hold the talent and charisma of Jamie Templeton forever. She just didn’t realize that when he left, it would break her hometown heart. Jamie had never lied to Zee about his plans, and when he’d left for the bright lights—and made it big—he’d thought she understood. She’d loved him and his music and had … music and had encouraged him to chase his dream. Sure, he could have gone home for a visit, but when his band caught fire, he was afraid to interrupt their momentum.
When the crazy world he was living in turned on him, Jamie walked away—back to the only place he could think of to go….home. But was it too late to find forgiveness and rekindle the fire with the only woman he’d ever loved?

Love her books! Especially her heroes. Wonderful, touching second chance romance.
I relly liked the book, but felt like it dragged a bit.
Jamie, the rockstar, returns to Whiskey River a broken man. Zee, his first love, who has never forgiven him for leaving for LA still reels from her feelings for him. Both have so much to learn about themselves and each other. They are fortunate to be surrounded by the love and support of their friends and family.
This story was well written with good insights about how we process events/ emotions in different ways depending on who we are. My way isn’t necessarily the right or only way
Very well written. Gives you thought for forgiving yourself.
Sweet love story about second chances. Very believable characters and plot. I’m hooked on the series and excited to read more!
Loved all of those books in the Whiskey River series.
Great Love
They fell in love young, Zen loved Jamie but wasn’t ready to leave her brother and Whiskey River when his music career was taking off and she told him to go. He’s finally home, can they rekindle and be together.
enjoyed the light romance and ending
Series is good
Started off ok but then I lost interest
A nice summer read!
I really enjoyed the smooth delivery in which Justine Davis wrote this book. Whiskey River Rockstar deals with Jamie, the rockstar, and Zee, the one girl he can’t return home to. Zee and Jamie are high school sweethearts who knew that one day he would leave Whiskey River to pursue his dream. Zee’s own dream of a family with Jamie is lost when he leaves. When he returns after losing his words, he only can hope Zee will be forgiving in her heart. She can only hope they can finally find the happiness they both kept close.
An enjoyable afternoon read. Wonderful characters.
After reading this book I had to buy books 1& 2 in the series. Touches on situations that I feel sure some people have had to deal with in real life. Enjoyed the characters.
I liked this so well i bought the other two in this series.
Have you ever wished for another second chance with your first love? Then this story is for you. She couldn’t go. He couldn’t stay. Both grow and learn and find the way home to their hearts.
Although I liked both of the main characters, I thought there should have been more character development and less sex scenes.
I enjoyed it very much!
Could barely finish this book. Very slow moving.
