One whiskey-saturated night turns into something far more in the second standalone installment of the bestselling Whiskey and Lies series from NYT Bestselling Author Carrie Ann Ryan.Fox Collins likes his life just the way it is. His siblings are falling in love all around him, but he’d much rather focus on his next story than on a serious relationship. However, when his latest one-night stand … latest one-night stand returns to Whiskey—this time for good—he’ll need to learn to trust his instincts to figure out if he can live without her in his life.
Former dancer Melody Waters is finally ready to settle down in her grandmother’s small Pennsylvania hometown. Bad decisions and fateful nights have changed her path more than once, but now she’s focused on one thing: opening her new own dance studio. But fate is a funny thing, and once again, she’ll be forced to learn that actions have consequences and some repercussions can not only change your life forever, they can also come back to haunt you…one broken promise at a time.

This was a great read and I really liked the way that Fox and Melody were portrayed. They were the opposites of Kenzie and Dare from book 1 and I appreciated that. I loved that they couldn’t stay away form each other and then had no choice but to be around each other, I really enjoyed this book and cannot wait for the next book where the eldest brother finally gets his HEA hopefully.
Whiskey Reveals is the second book in the Whiskey and Lies series and is the story of Fox, the youngest of the Collins brothers, and his whiskey induced one night stand with Melody. Their story is about a connection so strong that one night would never be enough and a bond that will form that will be life changing. This second book in the series is full of suspense, secrets, drama and acceptance. The town of Whiskey and the drink itself might end up being the best risk Melody has ever taken. Fox may be the younger brother but this man may just be the most protective and sensual of the three. As whiskey warms your insides so will the heat that radiates off this couple as they endure the turmoil of an attachment that is undeniable and moving at a speed of light. A book that will charm its way into your heart within the first few chapters and leave you in a state of euphoria by the end.
Absolutely loved Fox and Melody! I want to have a Ms. Pearl in my life, just to sit around drinking iced teas and listening to all of her stories. I am liking the “little” twists and changes Carrie Ann is doing with this series; she is spicing things up. Fox and Melody are so perfectly imperfect together that even their freak-outs were perfect. So looking forward to Whiskey Undone, to see what will happen next with these two.
I was given this book for an honest review!
This is Carrie Ann at her best. This book is about Fox Collins, one of Tammy’s brothers. He had one night of the best sex of his life with women named Melody Waters & then she was gone. He can’t stop thinking & dreaming about her, but now she back after three months & she going to make Whiskey her home.
This book has a beautiful story about the past, present & future!
I loved this story! It was great to get Fox’s story! He loves his family but he feels a little bit like the odd one out for multiple reasons. Melody has just moved to town to open up a dance studio and to try and start her life. She has had a hard few years and is taking the opportunity to move in with her Grandma to help her out and find her place. Fox and Melody had a one night stand a few months prior, before she moved back for good. Neither one was expecting what they found. Fox hasn’t been able to stop thinking about her but when they reconnect she isn’t looking for something serious, or at all. I loved how the story flowed through the book and we get to see them build a relationship and friendship. They get thrown a few curve balls that have to be dealt with but it also pushes them in the right direction. There’s some intrigue in this story. The sex is explicit but not very frequent. It fits both the story and the characters. While there isn’t a lot of action, this story does pull in you and hold your attention from beginning to end. Once I started reading it, I didn’t want to put it down.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
Whiskey Reveals is the 2nd of this series. Fox met Melody and had a one night stand. However, he couldn’t quit thinking about her. Imagine his surprise when she moves to town to help her grandmother who he is doing a feature story on. Lots of surprises here and LOTS of heat. Since it has not been published yet, I won’t add any spoilers. If you have read any of Carrie Ann Ryan’s books, this is a must read. It will be on my read again list for some time. I got this book as an ARC for an honest review
Whiskey Reveals is the second book in the Whiskey and Lies series by Carrie Ann Ryan and while most people like reading a series in order this book can be read as a standalone if you wish to do so.
I love Fox, there was just something about him maybe it was his vulnerability because he felt he didn’t measure up to his older brother so he had to work harder, or maybe it was because of his inner strength that made him fight for what he believed in. Either way the man had my vote in anything he chose to do.
Melody had been to Whiskey PA a few weeks prior to moving there, and that’s when she had her first taste of the youngest Collins Brother, Fox. It seems that Melody couldn’t get Fox out of her mind but she was determined to start her new life in Whiskey focused on opening her Dance Studio and not on the man that gave her one night of the most amazing sex she ever had, well fate, destiny, chance, whatever you want to call it had a different plan for both of them.
Neither Fox nor Melody were looking for a relationship when they had their one-night-stand, and to tell the truth neither one could get the other out of their minds so when they run into one another again you know what will happen even though both of them agree to just being friends….HA! as if that would ever work!
This was a fun read which had a bit of suspense to it. Someone is stalking Melody from her past, this adds an extra layer to the story which I really enjoyed. If you have read any of Carrie Ann Ryan’s work before you will definitely enjoy this read and if you haven’t….what are you waiting for????? Happy Reading!

Fox is a journalist who also owns the Whiskey Chronicles. One night at the bar he met Melody and they shared a steamy one night stand but three months later he hasn’t forgotten about and all he knows is her first name.
Melody is a dancer whose career was cut short, so she has returned to her grandmother’s hometown looking for a new beginning and that includes opening a dance studio.
They never expected to see each other again but now that they are in the same town they soon realize how small Whiskey really is as their lives begin to intersect on a regular basis. fate seems to be throwing them together on a regular basis. When her past starts closing in Fox is right by her side to not only protect her but to help her overcome it.
This second chance at love story leads you on an adventure filled with drama, suspense, humorous banter and hot chemistry. I voluntarily read an Advanced Reader’s Copy of this book.
Another thrilling visit to Whiskey! Highly entertaining, sweetly sexy, emotionally engaging and edge of your set gripping romantic journey filled with hard choices and lots of passion….
Fox Collins is sexy, fun, charming and so not looking to settle down and fall in love like the rest of his family recently has. Melody Waters is sexy, sweet, sassy and looking to build her life in Whiskey by opening a dance studio and is not looking for the complication of a relationship. Loved the chemistry and passion that sparks between these two, was highly entertaining to watch them banter and find their way. Could not put this story down….
What a whiskey affect! Truly enjoyed Fox and Melody’s romance from their first one night stand with just a note of thank you, to Fox not being able to forget her. Little did he know that love will give him a second chance and a few more surprises that both were not expecting. What a journey of love, suspense and forgiveness that you need to one click today. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Readers Copy of this book.
Whiskey Reveals is the story of Melody and Fox. You saw a brief glimpse of the start of their story in book 1 of this series. Their relationship starts out white out but then they go their separate ways after one night. Fox still can’t get Melody out of his head and when they bump into each other again sparks fly. Their relationship progresses from friendship to something much more and it is written very sweetly and had me not putting down my kindle. Again I love the other cast of characters in this book and how close Fox’s family. The addition of Melody’s stalker and how she overcame great obstacles to start her own dance studio is also a key element of this book and also only further emphasized the strong bond between these two characters. Another home run from Carrie Ann Ryan and I am counting down to book 3!!!
I voluntarily offered to review this book with no obligations and my opinions are honest
This would be a new beginning for Melody.
A chance to finally settle down, and to spend more time w/ her grandmother.
There is only the one little thing: she never forgot her one night stand w/ Fox Collins.
Now that she is back in his hometown, can she handle it?
Fox never forgot his time w/ Melody.
There is no way for Fox to contact Melody, but here is hoping.
Until, finally, she walks back to the same bar that they meet.
Melody is only looking for friendship.
Fox agrees, for now, so that he can be in her life.
However, a ” + ” sign stick changes everything.
Will Melody take a chance on Fox ?
Can they be a family ?
The storytelling + the character’s build were awesome!
It has all the ingredients that you need for a great book!
I can’t wait for the next book in the series!
5 FANTASTIC STARS!! Loved this Book so much!! Fox and Melody’s story was fantastic. These two have so much chemistry your ereaders will be burning up. Carrie Ann Ryan has done it again in this series giving us fabulous stories.
Fox and Whiskey, that’s all we need to know to understand how Melody is completely worked up. Each of the Collins’ men are a force. Melody has had her history and now wants her roots. I loved that in reading you could feel how they were woven into each other’s lives and matched perfectly. Adding the story of Miss Pearl was wonderful shine to their romance and allowed her to give some great wisdom to them.
Whiskey Reveals is Fox and Melody’s story. Melody is granddaughter of the mysterious Ms Pearl. She and Fox meet at Dare’s bar and have a one time fling. Fast Forward 3
months, Fox is writing an editorial on the infamous Ms Pearl and runs into Melody again. The two try to be just friends, but with these two, there’s too much steam to be friends. I enjoyed this story, but I think I still like Dare/Kenzie’s better.
Have you ever had a group of friends that you love hanging out with? No matter what they’re always up for a good time. Well, Carrie Ann Ryan delivers new friends mixed with old friends in her newest book Whiskey Reveals. This is the 2nd book in her Whiskey & Lies series (and if you haven’t read the 1st book Whiskey Secrest…get that puppy NOW!) about the 2nd Collins brother Fox. Fox Collins is the laid-back brother. The one that goes with the flow, that always has a ready laugh but he’s more interested in writing stories for his newspaper than dating or falling in love like his siblings. Melody Waters moves to Whiskey to get a fresh start. Most of her life has centered around dancing and she is now making her dream of opening her own dance studio a reality. She doesn’t have time for romance. But a night of whiskey with a stranger may have both Fox and Melody changing their tune. Carrie Ann Ryan wows us again with her witty writing and fun loving characters. The small town of Whiskey is nothing short of endearing. The story does have a touch of mystery/suspense which will keep you turning page after page. Carrie Ann does an amazing job of intertwining everyday problems with her fabulous characters that make them all the more real. This book was entertaining, heartfelt and a joy to read. I look forward to the next book about the last Collins brother!
I loved how I got lost in another life while I read Whiskey Reveals. It took me on another journey and picked up right where we left off in Whiskey Secrets. Both can be read as a standalone so don’t worry about any cliffy’s here other than maybe another couple. Fox and Melody are explosive and now have decisions to make. I really enjoyed the first book and Whiskey Reveals might be my favorite so far in the series because of the phenomenal writing.
Another Collins brother to steal your heart, and he definitely does (while juggling lol). He’s dreamy, talented, and let’s not forget hot. This time it’s Fox, writer extraordinaire who has a huge heart and a lot of sexiness, along with a side of rambling. We also have Melody, beautiful and talented, if not a little gun shy when it comes to people. But just like us, she has a hard time resisting Fox’s charm. Add in a little mystery and you’ve got another awesome Carrie Ann Ryan book. You definitely need to read this! Can’t wait for the next one in the series!!
So I have an extensive background with Carrie Ann’s books. I’ve been working may way through her works and I’ve read an insane amount of her books. BUT I think, so far, this is one of my favorites yet!
Fox and Melody have such a complicated relationship that it made this book so much fun! I couldn’t wait to see what was/or wasn’t going to happen next! Then you bring in their families and BOOM we have MAGIC! The Collins brothers have a really close family, that alone brings drama and crazy things. Then, when we add in Melody’s grandma, it just makes things even better! I love how this is a small town and really a small town romance.
A part from Fox and Melody’s families, I think a lot of the reason I loved this so much was their individual characters. Fox being a writer, of course, makes him so interesting to me as a blogger and avid reader. I think his character has such a finesse about him, much like Griffin did in Written in Ink, because he’s a writer. It’s almost as if his thoughts describe more, but that could just be Carrie Ann being super creative! But along those same likes I love Melody. I love how skittish she is, but determined to live her life. Really I just love these two!
With the addition of some CRAZY twists and turns this was such an awesome read. I truly loved every second. There wasn’t a point where I thought I needed to get past this part, or thinking it needed to move along. The pace was great, the story line was great and the character development was amazing. After reading this, I CANNOT wait for Loch’s book!!!
I really liked and enjoyed Whiskey Reveals, a great series that I am really loving so far. I like the characters of Fox and Melody. I thought they had great chemistry and really made the story work. Loving seeing more and this crazy family. Cant wait to read more.
