One whiskey-saturated night turns into something far more in the second standalone installment of the bestselling Whiskey and Lies series from NYT Bestselling Author Carrie Ann Ryan.Fox Collins likes his life just the way it is. His siblings are falling in love all around him, but he’d much rather focus on his next story than on a serious relationship. However, when his latest one-night stand … latest one-night stand returns to Whiskey—this time for good—he’ll need to learn to trust his instincts to figure out if he can live without her in his life.
Former dancer Melody Waters is finally ready to settle down in her grandmother’s small Pennsylvania hometown. Bad decisions and fateful nights have changed her path more than once, but now she’s focused on one thing: opening her new own dance studio. But fate is a funny thing, and once again, she’ll be forced to learn that actions have consequences and some repercussions can not only change your life forever, they can also come back to haunt you…one broken promise at a time.

I loved reading Melody and Fox’s story. There are lots of emotions in this book. There is humour and love and just enough suspense to keep you reading. There are misunderstandings and there are lots of family moments. Ms Pearl is a gem of a character, I think she is my favourite, but all of the Collins boys are dreamy. This is another great series by Carrie Ann Ryan.
After a night of whiskey shots and lots of chemistry Melody and Fox had the best night of their lives. Three months later they find each other but Melody doesn’t want a relationship. It’s a pretty sweet story since Fox is a sweet guy with his own sexy side. Melody is turning over a leaf and decided Whiskey would be where she put down roots. There’s a little suspense with someone stalking Melody and her own secrets from the past. Fox is a steady rock by her side though even when she sent him to the friend zone. Lovely book on the Whiskey series! I can not wait for Loch’s story…
I love the book and normally I don’t comment on what I think of the covers but this cover was uninspiring and dull. I feel like it doesn’t make justice to what you can expect from this story. And I like it even less when I see the covers of the other two books in this series. Seriously, who chose this cover????
Enough ranting about the cover, I absolutely love the story…….
* A good storyline with a nice progression and I’m enjoying the story from the first chapter.
* Characters are well described with lots of feelings and I love the connection between Melody and Fox. They both haven’t forgotten their night together and that is showing when they meet again.
* There’s no unnecessary descriptions of surroundings and the dialogues is driving the story forward in a nice way.
* I like that there’s a communication between the characters and no silly misunderstandings.
* The author manages to build a world with characters you will want to know more about, not only the main characters.
* Love scenes is sweet, hot and filled with emotions.
Lovely 5 star read
Whiskey Reveals the 2nd book in Carrie Ann Ryan’s Whiskey and Lies Series was amazing! Fox and Melody have a one night stand and reconnect a few months later. The book was well written and the chemistry was off the hook. Love this author and and another great series!!
Fantastic story. Taking on the guilt from her past, Melody doesn’t think she deserves much, but can Fox, her one night stand convince her she deserves love? Read this suspenseful story to find out.
Whiskey Reveals is the 2nd book in the Whiskey and Lies series. This series is a spin off of the Montgomery Ink series, don’t worry if you have not read it you can start with this book. Carrie delivers a very steamy read with a touch of romantic suspense with this book. It was a joy to read.
Fox Collins is the third child in the Collins Family, the youngest of the brothers. He is the more intellectual of the three boys, is a writer and owns the Whiskey Chronicles. Fox feels pretty secure with his life and wasn’t ready for the change that comes in the form of a one night stand followed by to much whiskey. Who knew that one night with a beautiful blonde would change his life in such a profound way.
Melody Waters is a dancer with a secret past. Melody moves to Whiskey Pennsylvania to take care of her elderly grandmother and to open a dance studio. This is a much needed new start for Melody and she can’t have any distractions especially in the form of one very sexy writer. Melody is dealing with a lot of nerves moving to a small town and opening a business, soon after moving, strange things start happening and she soon realizes that her past is not buried but has come back to haunt her.
Fox and Melody’s story is very sexy and sweet.
Whiskey Reveals is book #2 in the Whiskey and Lies series. It can be read as a stand alone but why wouldn’t you read Whiskey Secrets (Book #1)? Because it was just as awesome as Whiskey Reveals! I love this series and the characters make you fall in love with them. Melody and Fox are dreamy! A great romance with a little suspense thrown in. I absolutely loved it! And I love Ms Pearl! She was a great addition to the story.
Love the Whisky series by Lilliana Hart. Reading the fourth book in the series now and so witty and down right funny! I find myself LOL!
So far, this has been my favorite of the series. Fox and Melody meet and have a one night stand. Melody leaves town but returns a few months later to “start fresh.” Of course when Melody runs into Fox she tries to deny the chemistry that is clearly still between them. Unfortunately Melody has a past that does not want to stay in the past. I loved Kenzie and Ainsley in this book. Ainsley was so funny! I think what made me really like the two main characters so much, was their constant rambling. It was hilarious! Can’t wait for the third book.
Ok, so this was a slow read for me. I had a hard time getting into the story and I didn’t really connect with these characters. Some parts shined more than others and some parts were just repetitive. Overall this was just an ok read for me.
Whiskey and Lies #2, Fox finds his perfect match in a whiskey hazed hook up. It’s not that Fox wasn’t looking for a HEA he just wanted to find his place in the world before he thought about settling down. He loves being the editor of his own newspaper it means more paperwork than he thought but he always felt like something was still missing from his life. Melody was just looking for a place to start over, her grandmother gave her that chance when she offered her a home and Melody found the perfect place for a dance studio. Melody just wanted to forget her past but her past doesn’t want her to forget.
Fox and Melody hooked up one night about a month ago, both assuming that it would be a one night deal but Fox hasn’t been able to get her out of his head. As soon as Melody found out Fox wasn’t a tourist that night she should have called off the whole thing but she really was enjoying herself and Fox that night so it wasn’t a surprise to her when they ran into each other at The Old Whiskey Bar and Grill. Fox on the other hand was very pleasantly surprised even more so when he realized she is the granddaughter of his latest editorial, Whiskey’s one and only Miss Pearl. Melody feelings are all over the place as strong as she feels for Fox she doesn’t want to start something, she wants to concentrate on her dance studio and no matter how hard it is Fox is determined to keep her in his life even if that means just as friends.
But life is never that simple and Fox and Melody have more complications than just dealing with their feelings. Overall, Fox has won me over, I love that no matter what happened he took it in stride and never once doubted Melody. Miss Pearl is a hoot I hope we get more of her in the next book. Melody is a typical Carrie Ann Ryan heroine, headstrong, smart mouth, but with a vulnerability that she only lets her one and only see and in this her and Fox couldn’t be as well matched as they are with each other. As always this is a well written emotional, romantic, and dirty, dirty, dirty. Naughty Fox. (Insert Eartha Kitt Catwoman purr here).
This book was fantastic!!! It drew me in from the start, and kept me sucked in til the very last sentence. I love the career path that the author put Melody on. Dancing isn’t a career you see many heroines in, so it was a nice change! Add in the fact she was starting her own business, it makes her kinda kick butt. I loved Fox. He was perfect for her! There weren’t headgames being played, and he never withheld how much she meant to him. The suspense in this book was perfect, and had me on the edge of my seat at times. I would definitely recommend one clicking this fantastic read!!!
One Whiskey fueled night for Melody and Fox leads to a new life path neither could imagine. Melody just wanted to start over and finally be who she was and do what she loves. Fox thought his life was going good, he had his family and his paper, then one night and he realized what he was missing. I truly loved watching Melody and Fix navigate through this tangle of love and lust, need and want. Their chemistry was off the charts and heated up my kindle for sure! Another amazing book! I can’t wait for Loch and Ainsley!!
Sweet, sexy, and heartwarming. That is Whiskey Reveals in a nutshell. Fox and Melody had an out-of-control one night stand, but now that she’s back in Whiskey, PA for good, they can’t ignore their blazing passion for each other. These two are both so undeniably sweet, it’s almost too much to bear. Melody is still mending from a horrible mistake years ago, while Fox is trying to find a life outside his close-knit family and thriving business. Melody never wanted to bring someone under the dark cloud she’s been living under, but Fox drags her out into the sunshine where she belongs.
I loved this book. It gave me all the feel-goods with a bit of suspense thrown in. And with characters that I love re-visiting I felt wholly wrapped up in the world of Whiskey and never wanted to leave. Fox and Melody were adorable and scorching hot together, and the troubles they must overcome, both personal and the dangers that haunt them, held my rapt attention the entire book. I loved getting to know both of them, and the best part for me was Melody being so forthcoming with her troubles. She could have easily kept them hidden, but she knew Fox needed to know, and Fox’s reaction just made me swoon. These two are just a ball of adorableness and I loved their story so much! Now, I CANNOT. WAIT. FOR AINSLEY AND LOCH’S STORY. As in I need it NOW!! But for the time being, go forth and devour Whiskey Reveals, because it’s a wonderful, heartwarming story that I loved every bit of.
Happy Reading!

Fox Collins starts his day the exact same way – he needs a little something to shake up that routine. Melody Waters has her work cut out for her but she has a hard time focusing. Their story has an interesting beginning because neither one is into a relationship – not looking to connect. But the author has a way of creating something that you can feel – even though you can’t touch it.
You’ll have no trouble feeling the sense of family – how much they love and support each other. What’s good about this series is that you could go ahead and enjoy this book without having read Dare and Kenzie’s story. But after getting a little taste of them here, I’m sure you’ll want to see what you’ve missed. Just like any family, each sibling has his or her own personality. I’m not going to pick and choose who’s my favorite – especially since the series isn’t complete yet. Plus you never know, it may be a significant other that ends up being my favorite.
Fox and Melody have a past but it was short and sweet so I wouldn’t classify this as a second chance. As we see their relationship slowly progress – you can be patient because it will be well worth the wait. Our author adds in a little mystery – in case you need a little extra incentive to see where these two are going. She also adds in a “surprise” to help move this story along. And if that doesn’t work for you, than watch out for a little old lady – don’t let her know I said that – who will steal both her scenes and your heart. She certainly had me think of my own grandmother. I don’t know if it was the heat in the ending or because we’re going through a heat wave but I had to turn my fan up in order to cool down. And I’m left sitting on my hands waiting for that next book to bring me back to Whiskey.
I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
I fell in love with Fox and Melody. Fox was kind and understanding and Melody was trying to start over. She has a past that she wishes could be different but is trying to go forward and be a better person then she was. Fox can’t seem to get melody out of his mind from the one time that they were together. When they meet up again and then start seeing more of each other because of a story that he is writing the two slowly start to come together. They do have a few obstacles to overcome but hey both have some family to help them out. Both characters are sweet and endearing and his is a great read.
I knew the writer in the family would be my favorite…
Whiskey Reveals is a great example of a “one that got away” story. It has everything – romance, suspense, and an awesome HEA.
Fox, owner of Whiskey, Pa.’s local newspaper, met the girl of his dreams in his family’s bar three months earlier, and the morning after their explosive night together, she was gone with only a note left in her place. Now, the girl is back, and Fox decides to try and take the second chance that fate has granted him.
Melody, however, is not looking for a relationship with anyone. She’s come to Whiskey to open her own dance studio, spend time with her elderly grandmother, and try and forget the tragedies that have so far plagued her life. She didn’t count on Fox reappearing and how small a town Whiskey really is. It’s too hard to avoid him when his brother owns her favorite restaurant and his other brother owns the business right next to hers.
Melody puts up a valiant effort at avoiding Fox and ignoring their attraction, but, come on. She should’ve known it would be impossible. Especially when he has a chance to display his protective side when it appears she might have a stalker.
The budding relationship between Fox and Melody is definitely put to the test in more ways than one, and given Melody’s reluctance to start a relationship, there were times when I wondered how long it would take for her to give in.
The pacing of the story was good and I liked the connection between Fox and Melody. The suspense leading up to the big reveal of the villain was good, but the reveal itself lacked some impact – I would’ve liked to have seen more of an “ah-ha” moment.
I also really liked the bread crumbs that Carrie Ann Ryan keeps leaving for Locke’s story, which will be the final book in the Whiskey and Lies series. Of course it appears she’ll leave the most intriguing story for last, and it’s one I’m highly anticipating.
So sweet and hot! Fox and Melody may have started their relationship a bit backwards, but it so worked for the people they are. Melody has a baggage from her past. Fox has his own insecurities. However when they are together, it all melts away and they are perfect! Melody’s past comes calling and Fox steps up to protect his love. Watching them face danger, learn to trust, overcome fears to fall deeply in love was wonderful. Both are very relatable characters and that made me love them a bit more. Kudos to Carrie Ann Ryan as always…a great story! I love how she includes all the Collins family and keeps you up-to-date on their lives. I can’t wait for brooding big brother Loch’s story!
This is the second book in the Collins brothers series. This is Fox’s story he is the youngest out of the three brothers but still older than the baby of the family Tabby from Montgomery Ink Series. The family is all close and loving it’s a wonderful. Even though everything is going great for Fox and his family, Fox feels like something or someone is missing. Fox can’t get a certain blonde outta his mind it was a one night stand that involved one to many shots of whiskey that night.
Melody has just moved to the small town of Whiskey to start a new life and to live with her grandma Ms. Pearl and help her anyway she can but small towns nothing stays secret for long. Melody had hoped to stay under the radar but one evening as she grabs take out from the bar owned by Fox’s brother Dare she runs into the one person she’d hoped to avoid Fox. He’s the one night stand she’d hoped to forget but after seeing him the feelings toward him blossom instead of dying off and she’ll fight her hardest to deny them and him or anything they could have.
Overall I loved Fox and Melody! Something about Fox just draws you in and can’t help but love him! This is a wonderful read and the storyline is amazing! Can’t wait to read more books in the series.
WHISKEY REVEALS is book two in the Whiskey and Lies series. Each book follows the lives of three brothers so the characters are interconnected. However, each can be read as a standalone!
Melody is a former dancer, who after a tragic accident, has found herself returning to Whiskey to open a dance studio. She’s only been there once before, three months prior, where she spent a drunken night with Collins brother, Fox. Fox is the owner and editor of the local newspaper. He wants more after their whiskey fueled night together but will Fox still want Melody when he finds out the circumstances of her past?
This one has a thin thread of suspense throughout the story but is mostly a sweet and sexy romance. I actually found it pretty cute how similar Melody and Fox were! They’re both self professed ramblers and yes, they DID tend to ramble (in the sweetest way). I think out of the three brothers, Fox was probably the most tenderhearted. He was affectionate and loving, charming and smart. Melody was strong and straightforward though she was shackled to her past. They made a gooey, hearts and flowers kind of couple!
The series has a real small town vibe to it that I love. The secondary characters added a huge sense of family to the story especially Melody’s grandma, Pearl. She was a firecracker! I’m looking forward to reading more from this delightful family and the third Collins brother. Told from dual POVs with a happy ever after. I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book.
