The Whiskeys are growing in power, and the arrival of the ancients aren’t helping anything. Paige is now eight months pregnant with two ancients, and has just returned from a stint in Heaven that has the Whiskey clan shell-shocked. The world is reacting to Paige’s unborn children and the only thing they can do is ensure they show the world there’s nothing to be frightened of.But Leslie has lost … frightened of.
But Leslie has lost control of the ancient being inside her, the griffin. And when DoDO, the Department of Delicate Operations, shows up guns blazing to put Leslie out of the world’s misery, Paige steps up in a way no on sees coming.
DoDO represents a threat the Whiskeys have never faced before; a government agency hell bent on keeping the paranormal population down. At all costs. It’s going to take everything Paige has to learn to control the rising power building inside her, help her sister find balance with her ancient, and to save her unborn children.
If you enjoy fast action, strong characters, a tight family unit, and a plot that’s hard to guess, this series is for you. Jim Butcher and Kim Harrison fans love it!

This has to be my absolute favorite series right now. The Whiskey women are the type I would love to be friends with. There is never a dull moment around them. Leslie is having difficulty getting her griffin under control, Paige and Dexx’s twins are due in a matter of weeks, a government agency (DoDO) is after them to help destroy the shifters, and Paige wants to just be home. This series is one fast-paced never ending adventure. This is so good that when I get started I can’t slow down until I’m done. I highly recommend this book and the whole series. If you like witches, shifters, bad-a$$ women that will protect what’s right, then this is one you will really enjoy. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
Blooding continues the Whiskey Witches’ roller-coaster-like life, reeling from one crisis to another. This time, Paige and Leslie are learning what it really means to be witches and guardians of – well, everything. It becomes glaringly clear that life is never going to be normal for them. On the plus side, they learn to make use of their abilities, meet new friends and identify new enemies. I can only marvel at their ability to handle the madness that their lives have become and envy them the support they have from their family and friends.

Things are getting a bit harder for Paige, carrying two unborn ancients is exhausting! No one is sure what will happen when the children are born. Fast action with great characters and storyline. A must read!

Whiskey on the Rocks by S. M. Blooding is full of lots of different paranormal creatures. Every page has something exciting happening like at the start of this book Paige is just returning home after being abducted by angels. To make matters worse the angels wiped her memory so she doesn’t even know what happened while she was in heaven. Paige’s boss wants her to focus on her job. The other witches as are attacking her family and she is worried about her sister Leslie not acting like herself. Not to mention she is so pregnant with “special” twins she is very uncomfortable. The only thing she is sure of is she loves Dexx and wants some time to stay home with her family. This is my most definitely my new favorite series to read. Each book gets better than the rest. This book kept me reading as fast as I could. I promise Paige gets her happy for now ending but who knows what will happen in the Whiskey Witch Universe next. I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a phenomenal book full of mystery, romance, and unusual paranormal creatures in fantastical situations. Whiskey on the Rocks is full of witches, angels, shifters, and never ending mysteries to solve.
Paige’s power is growing, she has less than a month till the twins are born and all she wants to do is rest. But as always there’s a twist and the DoDdo show up causing problems. This is a well written story filled with humor, magic, shifters, demons and storyline twists that pull me into the story. Although this book can be read as a standalone I highly recommend you read the whole Whiskey Witches Universe series. Believe me you will not regret it.
A very pregnant Paige is confronted by an organization that wants to eliminate shifters due to the fact that DoDO thinks they are a danger to everyone. Leslie is not adjusting well to the ancient spirit that she now has so Paige, Ripley and Leslie travel to Alaska to get help from Billie Black, a wood witch who routinely helps shifters who are having difficulties with their animal spirits. While there DoDO makes an appearance and mayhem follows. This is another wonderful book in the Whiskey Witches series. New characters are seamlessly inserted into the story and familiar characters make appearances. We learn more about Ripley, the Ancients and the magic that Paige and others have. I am loving each story and they just keep getting better and better. I am now thoroughly captivated by this series and this universe of the Whiskey Witches. Another incredible read.

The ancients are choosing shifter witches, but will they be too much power for the Whiskeys? Leslie and Paige fly to Alaska and find far more than the wood witch coven as they unleash their shifter power and find hidden powers.
I love this series. It never fails to delight me with the unexpected. Lions, tigers and bears, oh yes, but elephants, squirrels, and bullet proof armadillos, are just a few of the quick shifting that changes a losing battle to victory. Ms Bloodings strong female characters and fabulous imagery plus awesome scenery and rapid pace have created a marvelous series in the Whiskey Witches.

In this latest installment of the Whiskey Witches, they first face DODO and McCree’s father in Portland. Paige, Ripley and Leslie all leave for Alaska on a warning message from Billie. There, they will discover new power, balance and face some new enemies. They also discover new inner strengths and magic. It is a constant fight to keep abreast of everything. One thing they did find out is that these are not the big threat they are to face! They will add a new member and magic to their pack and coven as well. The time for the birthing of the twins is near at hand too. The women discover they are more themselves in Alaska. This installment will bring more pieces of the puzzle together along with new secrets, more questions and answers. They fought and won against the current problems and are now on their way home to prepare for what or who is coming next! This is another action-packed fast paced read! Each book brings an exciting new adventure but leaves us with more questions! I received this book via Booksprout and am leaving a voluntary response.

S.M. Blooding brings us “Whiskey on the Rocks” – another great Whiskey Witches installment filled with magic, mayhem, shifters, demons, and a whole lot of fun. The characters are great as always and keep the twisting storylines moving and the reader hooked from the first page through the last page.
Paige’s power just keeps growing, in fact, the clan’s power is growing, too – this means something big and bad is coming, but what? The more she learns about herself and the shifter spirits, the more frightened she becomes of all that power.
All Paige wants right now is rest, the twins are due in two weeks. Before she can get a chance to breath, the DoDdo (Men in Black) show up. Almost immediately a phone call has her flying to Alaska with her out of control sister. Hopefully, this quick trip wiil help her sister get control before the Griffen takes over. But the not too nice DoDO have plans, too.
While each book can be read as stand alones, the storylines carry through the entire series.
I feel like I’m in a rut, this series is just so good – I have to give this installment five stars, like I did the others. I just can’t recommend this series enough to believers and followers of witches, shifters, demons, angels and hell.

Paige and Leslie head to alaska to learn to control their shifts with the help on the wood witches and find a mystery in the process.

Shiftings (Whiskey Witches Series Boxset Book 2): Since these were three different series, I read each series instead of the first book of all three and then the second books. Since I’ve read all the books since Demon Whiskey, it didn’t hurt the reading order. If you’re new to the Whiskey Witches world, you’ll do yourself a favor by starting with the first book Whiskey Witches. While each book can be read without the previous books, there are ongoing storylines carried through the all the series. Knowing the past just makes for a richer, deeper understanding of the individual books. I contacted Blooding to review her books.
F. J. Wolfram, Big Bad Djinn #1 – This is my second read by this author and I enjoyed BBD. I’ve read the Whiskey Witches series and this spinoff is the next step. After reading Double-Double Demon by Wolfram, I backtracted to this series. BBD is Dexx’s domain, with Paige being elsewhere working leaving him behind to handle things. Well written, fast paced and with plenty of action, which is what D-DD shares. The characters aren’t unknown to us that have read WW and the new ones add depth and conflict to the story. There’s plenty of intrigue, suspense and humor to keep the reader glued to the pages. 4*
F. J. Wolfram, Lizard Wizard #2 – This is probably better than Big Bad Djinn, which was pretty good. Well written, fast paced and funny, LW is a great addition to the series. Dexx has grown in his roles. The intriguing storylines twist like a bronco keeping the reader’s interest until the last page. I’m ready for more of the Red Star gang. 4*
Hattie Hunt, Bear Moon #1 – This is my first read by this author and I enjoyed BM. Well written and intriguing. These characters are interesting and characters from the Whiskey Witches are present, too. The twisting plot holds suspense, gamut of emotions and is fast paced. 4*
Hattie Hunt, Grizzly Attraction #2 – A bear and a porcupine? Sometimes diversity is too much, but it didn’t matter in this interesting story. Well written with the emphasis heavy on family and friends, this was a quickly read story. The characters were good, even the baddies, and made for an interesting and entertaining story. 4*
S. M. Blooding, Desert Shaman #1 – More of the Whiskey Witches and Paige is going nuts with all her responsibilities. Well written and filled with intrigue and suspense, this fast paced story keeps the reader immersed until the end. The old characters are dealing, again, with new, nasty characters. But there’s still humor, along with more paranormal dudes. 4*
S. M. Blooding, Whiskey on the Rocks #2 – Paige has less than four weeks to go before their twins are born and is she at home resting for the big event? Are you new to the series? Heck no, she’s working. Well written, intriguing, fast paced, just the normal writing style of Ms. Blooding, along with a good dose of humor. The characters are great as always and keep the twisting storylines moving and the reader immersed in all the happenings. Another WW story well done. 4*
Shiftings Series End.
