Griffin Storm wasn’t prone to violence, but when someone takes what Griffin holds dear, the world as he knows it is gone.
Retaliation, revenge and rage fuels him. His MC, The Uncertain Saint’s, do their best to offer support, but Griffin is beyond redemption. He’ll do what he has to do. Kill who he has to kill.
He doesn’t care if that means he dies. If it gets him what he wants, then it’s … wants, then it’s worth it.
He fakes it all until the night he walks into a sex shop for batteries and lays eyes on a woman that will change his life.
Lenore makes him think past tomorrow. Makes him want to see just what the future might bring.
But his life’s a dangerous one built around pain and deception, and not for the faint of heart.
He won’t give up the past, not until he’s done what he promised to do.
And if that means she’s not there when the dust settles, he’ll risk it.
Lenore, though, won’t give up on him. She’ll fix him, whether he wants her to or not.

i just absolutely loved Lenore from her first introduction. her character was the perfect combination of smart, funny, and strong with just the right amount of vulnerability to her. and Griffin was a character that made your heart hurt for him when you get his story. what starts off as something casual, turns into something more, and its the parts in between that makes you wants to hold on for the ride.
i loved this one just like i have loved everything else by Vale. this one was a great start for a new series. and i can’t wait to get the other stories about the other members.
What to say that hasn’t already been said. This new series that she started awhile ago is great. I just loved Griffin and Lenore’s story. This one definitely starts off as a tear jerker but after awhile has you laughing your a$$ off. Go read the story it won’t disappoint.
I have decided I want to read as much of this authors backlist as I can get my grubby little mitts on. And I wanted to see how she did MC’s. And I have to say, it wasn’t the worst I’ve read. There’s the cops/military/suspense stuff I’ve almost come to expect where LLV is concerned and Griffin was ALPHA AF. Lenore certainly isn’t no pushover mind you. But I’ve come to the conclusion that sinking into a LLV book is like getting a rough hug, it might sting a little, but it’s really kinda nice to be held.
Can I say how much I love this book! Griffin & Lenore are awesome! Griffin, a Texas Ranger and member of the Uncertain Saints, is searching for the man or men responsible for the shooting death of his young son. Due to a power outage he ends up in Lenore’s store to buy batteries. Griffin then finds he can’t stay away from Lenore. Lani Lynn Vale writes such an amazing book for them. It’s definitely in the “read me again” folder.
I listened to the audiobook for this title. I love these books! And the narrators? They are absolutely perfect. I wish this series was longer. I’m about to listen to the last one and then I’ll be so sad. Maybe I’ll like some of her other series, too. There’s mystery, suspense, sexytimez, and tons of laughter. Read it! You’ll be glad you did.
Great Series Starter! Elizabeth @ Carolina Chic’s Read
I’m fully enjoying my binge of all things Lani Lynn Vale! Whiskey Neat is about the very Alpha Male Griffin… he is all things good and yummy! This man finds his true love and they are !
This is a heartfelt, entertaining, thrilling, suspenseful, and humorous ride to go on with Griffin and Lenore. This not the first time I have read this book, I love all of Lani Lynn Vale’s books.
I didn’t think it was possible but Whiskey Neat the second time around was even better. This story is tragic and at times heart wrenching, however introduce Lenore and this woman will lighten your heart. The way she stutters at times, the things she says when she is drunk and just her whole persona will have your face lit up with one huge smile. Griffin is a man torn between devastation and vengeance but when a cute little red head catches his eye his heart might just have a chance to heal. Their story was sizzling hot, emotional, witty and action packed. Who needs whiskey and coke, when you can have the perfection of Whiskey Neat.
Griffin and Lenore! I seriously adore this story. It was the one I first read from Lani Lynn Vale! It kept me captivated from beginning to end!
Griffin Storm spends a lot of time seeking revenge and not forming attachments. Then he walks in a sex shop owned by a woman who peaks his interest. Griffin though is not sure he can commit to Lenore, even though he wants to. Lenore though decides she wants Griffin and even if she has to fight him along the way.
I was immediately pulled in by Lenore and Griffin, he is aloof while she is so completely opposite. They both have their own issues but together you are fascinated by this couple. Great start to a wonderful series.
Lani has done it again with this book! This is the first book in her new series, Uncertain Saints MC. I don’t even read the synopsis for her books anymore, I just get them. They have all been must reads for me. This one is no different. I absolutely loved it.
Now I should be mad at Lani, she made me cry during the prologue and again with the very last paragraph! I don’t think it was due to my pregnancy hormones either.
Griffin and Lenore are now one of my top couples.
Griffin is a Texas Ranger. He just suffered a huge loss though. Now he is a man on a mission.
Who would have thought that going into an adult store for batteries would change things for him?
Lenore owns that store. She is a feisty red head that will fight for what she wants. And we get to see her do just that.
I love these two and can’t wait to read the next book in this series.
Just like in the other series the secret thoughts and such, at the beginning of each chapter had me cracking up.
“Dear teenagers complaining about life: You’ve only felt the tip of life’s dick. There’s a lot more to go. Pull your big girl panties up and hold on. It’s gonna be a rough ride.”
“I’m not saying your mom is a slut, but when she gave birth to you she tried to push you back in and out a few times.”
Lani Lynn Vale and I are going to need to have a conversation about how much she makes me cry, this is ridiculous, lol. This is the first time I have said this in a long time. You don’t have to read anything before this, as this is the first book in a new series (YAY us).
So we have Griffin, a Texas Ranger/ MC guy, who, in one of the funniest scenes I have ever read meets the lovely Lenore. The two of them are freaking amazing, and the sexy time scenes are so freaking HOT!!
I’m not going to dig too deep, don’t want to leave spoilers! I am going to say that this had…. a difficult subject that had to be dealt with. I am going to shock people when I say, I’m giving this a 4.75. Why am I not giving it the 5 that Lani normally gets?, there were some MINOR, and I mean minor plot issues that bothered me, but that doesn’t mean the story wasn’t amazing!
Griffin is a total badass and broody. But Lenore is his kryptonite. Love this start to a new series. Can’t wait for more.
OMG! This book was so damn good. I pretty much fell in love by the first chapter. I was so addicted to the story and head over heels in love with Griffin. He is the ultimate BBF.
Whiskey Neat starts off with Griffin suffering a loss so unimaginable and his grief is heartbreaking. But Griffin is a gruff bad ass, who also happens to be a police officer. He is determined to find the people that killed his son and has no problems skirting the law to get it done. Then he meets Lenore and she gets under his skin and his attempt to stay away from her doesn’t last very long. I really loved Griffin getting all alpha male on Lenore and how he paid attention to her and what was going on in her life. He always stood up for her even when she has no problems doing it herself. But when his man-hut puts Lenore in the cross-hairs, he’ll do anything to protect her. I really loved Lenore. While she is sweet and by the rules, she also knows how to handle herself. I loved her contradicting personality.
The story was very hot and sexy. The characters so hard not to fall in love with. There are definitely some funny parts that had me laughing out loud and some “oh shit” moments that made the story that much more exciting. I just loved everything about this book and it my favorite by Lani thus far.
If you like hot police officers, MC’s, and hints of danger, then this book is for you.
