We all have guilty pleasures. Mine was the boy my father took in. The guy everyone said I was too good for. The one I knew would ruin me. The way Noah Greyson’s voice sounded when he sang whiskey lullabies to me in the dark; how perfect his arms felt wrapped around my stomach with his nose nuzzled in my hair—that’s what made me fall. That intimacy was what made me weak. But now millions of women … now millions of women drift off to sleep while Noah sings the love story we wrote, and it was never meant for the world.
The worst mistake I made wasn’t loving him, it was thinking he loved me, too. At least that’s what I thought until now…

STANDALONE SECOND CHANCE ROMANCE

A sweet, second-chance romance of redemption and hope. I loved getting lost in this story and these unforgettable characters.
Great book!
“There was heartbreak written all over his smile but, at that moment, I swear it felt like no one else existed in that crowded bar aside from he and I.”
Still reeling from this one!! This beautiful story was so filled with every emotion possible I could not move until I read the entire thing. This is a love story for the ages, not because it was filled with hearts and butterflies, but it was flawed, and real, and just amazingly heart grabbing!! The Author did an amazing job with both characters and broke my heart over and over, just to put it back together that left me smiling long after I read. The secondary characters were hysterical, and it was a heady journey that I wish I could re-live over and over and over!!
“That girl…God, I knew I could hurt and I didn’t want to do that, so as much as I felt like the planets lined up to throw us into each other’s orbits, I swore to myself I would ignore it and walk away. Some things in life, you just don’t want to taint.”
Bad boy with a hidden heart of gold falls for the unattainable purity of the Preacher’s daughter and they fall deep, it was intoxicating and pulled my heart strings so tight, they were ready to snap. That kind of love just hits you in the feels, even though every mistake they made, small town gossip, everyone telling them it wouldn’t work, they just couldn’t stay apart. I laughed, I swooned, and I cried…it just had everything!! I wish I could read it for the first time all over again.
“Bad boys really shouldn’t have dimples-it makes it all the harder to not let them break your heart in hopes that maybe, just maybe, you could have theirs.”

A third of the way thru the paperback, my heart felt like a tight knot. And then further along, my hear was racing. This is a story that you feel, you’re not just a bystander, glossing over the words. I literally consumed the entire story in one sitting. I even took time to locate a couple of the songs mentioned, on YouTube, to get the additional effects of the story line. The characters were amazing, people that you could relate to. Just an all out great story that was worthy of my time! Stevie J. Cole never disappoints.
Absolutely loved this book. Was kind of a slow burn but I just fell in love with Noah Greyson! And Hannah was adorable and feisty too. I sobbed at the beautiful writing and felt complete when I got that ending. One of those books you finish and just sigh. Great read.
Hannah is the preacher’s daughter, a nurse who came back to town to help take care of her gravely ill mother. Noah is a bad boy at least he appears to be a bad boy who has felt discarded his whole life. His parents deserted him as a baby thankfully his grandma took him in. He has dreams of making a break into the music industry. This was full of so many feels but it was a beautifully written story. Loved it
To start off, the cover is gorgeous and essentially captures the feel of the story. It’s a classically romantic story of a preacher’s daughter that falls in love with the bad boy musician. The story takes place in a small town that comes with the small town stigma. Expect your heartstrings to be pulled as the story has a very emotional element to it. I found that the ‘lover’s’ journey was quite a long one… the read wasn’t always an exciting page-turning experience and has a bittersweet ending which gives the ‘real’ aspect to the story.

Favorite Quote: “As much as we want to pretend we’re in control of our lives, we aren’t. Control is a pretty façade we dance behind to make it through each day, because when you really accept that you aren’t in charge of your own fate, it makes you feel trapped.”
Review:
This was a cute story. I was a bit confused on the time line but that was my own fault, I missed the dates at the top of the chapter header.
I was expecting the story to go a bit differently than it did but it was still good.
I do got the feeling that the characters where younger than they actually where. Each time Hannah was talking about her job it was a reminder that she was 20 and not 15.
I do wish that Noah had to grovel a bit more before getting her back. It was over rather quickly. And Hannah dropped everything quite fast, but that could be just me.
Overall it was a cute story and a nice read.

3 I enjoyed it stars
This book blew me away. So amazing. I love this story. It is heartbreaking, beautiful, sweet, gut wrenching and romantic. Noah and Hannah’s story is full of emotions and drama, twists and turns. It develops so organically and everything just fits. My first by this author and it will not be my last.
I like this story. It was tragic and simple and truthful to the stories that we all tell ourselves that are so dangerous because there is little if any truth in them.
I recommend this book
4 Stars all the way!!!!!!
Where do I even start with this story . Hannah is the good girl all the way. Her Daddy is a preacher and her mom is sick with cancer. She moves home to help take care of her. Noah is the bad boy with a voice. He is trouble all the way. Hannah’s dad loves to help a soul who has lost his way . This is where Noah comes in .
They meet and there is instant attraction but Noah knows he will never be good enough for Hannah . Then everything gets ruined. A year later and so much heartbreak can these two find away to be together.
I loved every part of this story , even the tears I cried. I am a sucker for a tearjerker and this one did not disappoint. I promise you will not regret taking the journey with these two .
The only reason I did not give this book 5 stars was because I felt like the ending was rushed . Other than that it was perfect.
