Ridiculously amateur writing. No plot or character development, story line jumps all over the place from one male character to the other. Male characters come across as superficial and arrogant, especially Reed, who falls for Olivia because she’s ‘beautiful, well dressed, charming, and funny’, ‘his father would approve’, ‘men stop in their tracks when Olivia walks by’, and ‘she’s everything the perfect wife could be’ – gag!! And if that isn’t enough, he is somewhat put off, thinking that she has ‘expensive taste’, because she chose a two-carat diamond ring, even though he’s filthy rich.
And be prepared for this to end abruptly with a CLIFFHANGER!!
I couldn’t stick with it, ended up frustrated and bored, jumping ahead or just scanning through the pages.

I had a Free Copy of this book, but this is my voluntary and honest opinion. I enjoyed reading this prequel to the Starling Bay Series. Sienna Carr did a good job with the character development in this book, and the plot was interesting. The book does rather leave you hanging at the end.
Quick intro to the current state of friendship of the three guys in the first three books in the series. Not much background on. them.
No real intro to the setting or residents of the small town.
Lots of overindulgent, conspicuous spending, but he “hadn’t alluded to his family’s wealth at all” (Where’s an eye-roll emoticon when you need one?)
Dylan, reed and Rourke are all in starling bay. this was a wonderful story line. Each story pulled me in and held me there. I really liked it very much and I highly recommend it

The start, the beginning, or the prequel, whatever wording you choose, to a great series. Great characters, wonderful story line, and a location you’ll fall in love with and continue to fall in love with throughout the series. The story flows smoothly, captivates the reader and keeps you turning the pages.

This is the beginning, the prequel to the Starling Bay Sweet Romance series. Welcome to the small town of Starling Bay where everyone is aware of your business and the characters are uniquely their own. Meet Reed, he is one of the long time families and went off on a business trip and comes back with a fiancee. Well that gets his two buddies, Dylan and Rouke going let alone the whole town. I absolutely loved the town’s main circuit character, Hyacinth Fitzsimmons. Does Reed get his HEA? This is a quick read but it gives a great introduction to the series. I cannot wait to read more about this great little town and the people within. Enjoy!

The set up for more.
This is our introduction to the three friends, Dylan, Roarke and Reed. Reed is bringing Olivia to Starling Bay, to see she how she fits in his world.
A short read.
4.5
I loved getting to know Reed and his friends. The characters are well developed and engaging and the storyline has a smooth flow while introducing the newly engaged couple. I am looking forward to reading more of this series.

The Sterling Bay Prequel tells the start of Reed Knight, his best friends Dylan Fraser, and Rourke Halloran’s story, and Reed’s fiancee Olivia who I do not like at all. It gives us a background into the three men and how they are there for each other. I liked Hyacinth. I will be reading the rest of this series in order.
